STATE OF THE ART

Golf courses often have sand bunkers to complicate the stroke of the golfer whose ball has landed on it. After making his stroke, the player must leave the sand duly raked so as not to harm the players who come after him, and place the rake he has used where it is least likely to interfere with play. This is not always the case.

Very often the placement of the rakes unequally harms or benefits the players by retaining the ball on the slope of a bunker, on other occasions preventing the ball from entering it, etc...

This is usually a source of controversial situations, anger and frustration on the part of the affected players, in addition to producing a great waste of time since, sometimes, the interpretation of the rules on how the player should proceed is not easy.

The slowness of the game is one of the main problems that golf faces and everything that helps to speed it up is welcome. Another factor that slows down the game is the inefficient way in which players remove sand from their club after making the stroke (running the club against a tuft of grass, after hitting it in one of the shoes).

In addition, the dispersion of the rakes on the ground makes it difficult to maintain the field since the staff must collect them to pass the mower. Sometimes the machine breaks or breaks some of them that go unnoticed.

The use of "M" supports that have to be nailed into the ground and that allow the rake to be raised, resting it on the central section of the "M" is known. However, that solution takes up quite a bit of floor space and doesn't reduce the burden on players or maintenance staff.

The Applicant does not know of any device that makes it possible to solve all these problems in such a simple way as the invention.

BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The invention consists of a rake support according to the first claim. Its different variants solve the outlined problems.

It is a solution that allows the incidence of the rake in the game to be minimal. The rake will be in a vertical position outside the bunker and the balls will not be retained by the rake inside the bunker.

This will avoid penalizing drops for players. Additionally, players will be able to easily and conveniently remove trapped sand from the clubhead with the brushes built into the holder. They will not need to bend down to pick up the rake.

In turn, the golf course maintenance staff will complete their work in less time since they will not need to remove the rakes from the ground in order to mow the grass and fix the sand in the bunker.

Likewise, it has the advantage that the rakes will always be correctly located since it will be the direction of the field that decides the location of the supports. The rake support can have a color that blends in with its surroundings and can even be covered with an element that gives it the appearance of a natural element, such as For example, a plant, a stone, an animal, etc... In this way, the careful aesthetics of golf courses will be fully respected.

The golf rake support is made up of a semi-vertical hollow shaft that incorporates a brush system to facilitate the removal of sand from the golf club head. Said stem is intended to house the end of the rake handle inside it so that the rake remains in a vertical position.

This stem can be directly buried or inserted into another stem with a slightly larger section.

The stem can have a couple of holes as an overflow that prevents the accumulation of water above that level, which will generally be slightly above ground level.

In turn, slightly above these holes, the stem has a stop inside to prevent the rake handle from being submerged in the water accumulated by rain, the water table, etc...

The support will protrude slightly above the ground. Just enough to keep the rake upright. Probably no more than 25 centimeters.

The golf rake support is made up of a first hollow stem (B) that is partially inserted into a second hollow stem (A) with a slightly larger section and which is completely buried in the ground.

The two stems (A and B) are open so that the water can circulate freely to the ground. The brush system ( C ) is made up of two brushes facing each other.

In use, the direction of the field decides which is the most suitable point for the placement of the support so that all the players will find themselves with the same conditions.
