The present invention refers to a stackable and palletizable cardboard box with a structure such that it offers great resistance to vertical loads during stacking.

The object of the invention is to provide a box that, in addition to the features described above, allows it to be easily recycled, since it is not necessary to separate the materials that participate in it when recycling said materials.

It is also an object of the invention to provide a box with a greater resistance to lateral deformation than conventional boxes.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the field of practical application of the invention, palletizable and stackable boxes are known which, in order to give greater resistance to them from a point of view of resistance to vertical loads, include wooden reinforcements, such as struts established in correspondence with the internal vertical edges of the box.

Although this solution makes it possible to significantly increase the stacking and loading capacity of the box, it poses a problem when it comes to recycling it, since it is necessary to separate the wood from the cardboard, for its independent recycling.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The box that is recommended solves in a fully satisfactory way the problems previously exposed, based on a simple but effective solution, presenting a structure in which the materials used can be recycled in the process. usual recycling of cardboard.

For this, and more specifically, the box of the invention is constituted from a rectangular or prismatic-quadrangular prismatic body, open at the top, in which its walls are obtained from several layers of corrugated cardboard glued together, a mouth being defined to which a highly rigid lid is tightly coupled, capable of supporting large loads without deforming, a lid that has a sandwich-like structure, in which a layer of material similar to that of the material used in the side walls of the box, that is to say, based on several layers of corrugated cardboard glued together, and at least one layer of high-density fiber chipboard, a material that can be recycled in the cardboard recycling process itself, a set that is covered on the top by a layer of cardboard and that extends laterally and perimeter to define a flange of perimeter coupling to the mouth of the box, which prevents the detachment lateral looping of the lid.

The fact that the frame of the box is obtained from several layers of corrugated cardboard glued together gives a greater resistance to the box in relation to lateral forces, to which the structure of the lid also contributes with a coefficient of friction identical to that of the frame, so that due to the weight supported when stacking the boxes, there will be a slight deformation in the upper edge of the multilayer cardboard structure of the frame, increasing the friction that occurs between the lid and the edges of the frame of the box, preventing the lateral displacement of the lid, supporting the assembly and providing greater resistance to the lateral forces that can occur during transport and storage.

The same happens between the frame of the box and the bottom of it, materialized in cardboard.

Regarding the coupling means on the mouth of the box, the lid may rest directly on the free edge of the side walls of the box, or they may present a formally and dimensionally appropriate stepped recess to another complementary one provided on the edges of the box. the cover, internally to the cardboard perimeter flange that surrounds the previously described multi-layer structure.

The participation in the side walls of the box of multiple layers of corrugated cardboard glued together allows to obtain wall thicknesses wide enough to offer a great resistance to lateral deformations, which directly affects the balance of the boxes stacked above it.

Finally, it only remains to point out that, optionally to improve the finish of the box, that is, to conceal the multi-layer structure of its elements as well as to modify the coefficient of friction or adhesion thereof, it could additionally include a lining or coating of paper.

In this way, a structurally rigid box is achieved both against vertical and lateral loads, very difficult to deform and consequently highly stable, when stacked, which can be easily recycled in a single operation, without the need to disassemble and separate its components. structural.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the outlined figures, it can be seen how the box of the invention starts from the conventional configuration of a prismatic box that is open at the top and is complemented by the corresponding closing cover, with the particularity that the side walls (1) The box is obtained from several layers of corrugated cardboard glued together, which depending on the dimensions of each box and the weight they must support, between 2 and 7 layers of corrugated cardboard can participate, without ruling out a greater number of layers.

These walls define, through their upper end, a mouth in which a lid is intended to fit tightly, with a sandwich-type structure, in which three components duly glued together participate; a layer (1 ') with the structuring of the side walls (1), that is, based on several layers of corrugated cardboard glued together, at least one layer of high-density fiber chipboard (2), and an upper layer (3) of cardboard and that extends laterally and perimeter to define a flange (4) for perimeter coupling to the mouth of the box.

As can be seen in the figures, the layer of high-density fiber chipboard (2) can participate in a single or double way, that is, it can be arranged on both sides of the layer (1 '), or only on one of them, in this case, preferably, on the upper face of said layer (1 ').

The assembly formed by the layer (1 ') and the high-density fiber chipboard (2) can rest directly on the upper and free edge of the side walls (1), or said edge can include a step (5 ), formally and dimensionally adequate to another complementary one provided on the edge of the set formed by layer (1) and the high-density fiber chipboard (2), the flange (4) being arranged externally, embracing the external and upper surface of said side walls (1).

As for the bottom of the box, this will be made of conventional cardboard, being able to be fixed to the pallets by stapling or simply resting on them.
