Object of the Invention

The present invention refers to a reusable individual protection mask with interchangeable filters, which meets the requirements of a personal protective equipment (PPE).

Background of the invention

At present, the use of masks is being forced to citizens, in practically the entire planet, due to the coronavirus, and its associated disease COVID-19, since it has been shown that the use of masks is one of the most effective proposals proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO), and the health authorities of different countries, since they prevent microparticles of saliva or other fluids that can remain in the environment, from entering the respiratory tract of people contaminating them, and spreading the disease virally from person to person, causing an epidemic or pandemic.

There are many types of masks on the market, from those made by hand in more or less dense fabrics, of doubtful sanitary efficacy, to those that meet the requirements of personal protective equipment FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3.

Obviously, masks that are personal protective equipment offer better protection. However, currently they are disposable elements, and of limited resource, their price is high for daily use, and they are reserved for certain professionals and situations.

Therefore, other types of masks, surgical or hygienic, are usually used, which do not offer such a high level of protection, which is a first drawback.

On the other hand, masks tend to be reused due to their cost. Cloth masks are washable, although they offer limited protection. However, masks made of non-woven fabrics, fibers and the like, washing and prolonged reuse can disaggregate the fibers, and make them lose their effectiveness, even the fibers can be inhaled by the user causing the entry of foreign bodies into the lung, and generate defense reactions of the body that can even be dangerous.

In addition, many of the masks described in the preceding paragraphs literally stick to the user's face, generating an unpleasant feeling of suffocation and overwhelm, and sometimes creating adverse skin reactions, allergies, etc.

SCOPE

The field of application of the present invention is that of the industry for the manufacture of reusable protection masks, antivirus, antibacterial and other contaminating or pathogenic elements.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The reusable individual protection mask, with interchangeable filters, object of the present invention comprises:

-a waterproof plastic body provided with fixing means to the user's face, and whose body is covering the user's bucco-nasal area,

-where said body comprises an interior separation chamber between its interior surface, and the user's face,

-where said inner chamber comprises a lower window arranged at chin height or below chin, and

-in whose window a filter is arranged.

In this way, the following technical advantages are obtained:

A completely waterproof mask is obtained in its almost entirety, offering an effective barrier against the entry of the virus.

As the air inlet window is located in the lower part of the mask, air aspiration is avoided from the top, which is where there may be more suspended virus. That is, air is inhaled from the cleanest area possible.

By generating an air chamber that comprises the buccal area of the user, the feeling of being overwhelmed and suffocating is avoided.

The environmental impact of the masks is minimized, since it allows its reuse, and the use of interchangeable filters, which when discarded represent a small fraction of the residue of what is a full mask.

Filter replacement cost is minimized, for the same reasons.

It allows a completely robotic manufacturing in a sterile environment.

Sweat is avoided, just by touching the contour of the face.

It favors air flow as the filter is oriented in the inhalation and expiration direction through the nose, and close to the mouth.

Its adaptation to the physiognomy of the face makes it a hermetic and watertight chamber, which prevents the user's glasses from fogging.

It allows the use in its manufacture of allergenic materials, and easy to disinfect for the user, facilitating safe reuse

Description of the Preferred Embodiment

The reusable individual protection mask (1) with interchangeable filters of the present invention comprises:

A waterproof plastic body (2), provided with fixing means, consisting of a strap (15) and braces (14). Thus, said body (2) is found encompassing the bucco-nasal area of the user, comprising an inner chamber (4) for separating its inner face (5) and the user's face (3), where said inner chamber (4) comprises a lower window (6), arranged at chin level or under the chin, and in which window (6) an interchangeable and / or disposable filter (7) is arranged.

Preferably, the window (6) is oriented downwards, or backwards (towards the user's body), since this way the inhaled air will be even cleaner.

Ideally, the waterproof plastic body (2) is preferably materialized in transparent plastic, since it allows the visualization of the user's entire face, facilitating their identification, and communication with deaf people, for example by lip reading.

Furthermore, it is preferred that the interchangeable and / or disposable filter (7) is assembled in the window (6), through removable means (sockets, clips (8) or the like), to allow its replacement or washing.

Specifically, in the embodiment shown in the figures, the body (2) comprises an upper bridge (9), supporting the bridge of the nose (prevents the glasses from fogging), a lower bridge (10), supporting on the chin, and some side walls (11), which are supported on the cheeks, the inner chamber (4) being defined between these parts. For its part, the fixing means, of the body (2), to the user's face (3), comprise braces (14), emanating from the upper and lower parts of the side walls (11) of the body (2) , and that are converging, in a strap (15), to be placed on the nape below the user's ears, since by extending the mask, partly below the user's chin, this embodiment notably increases their comfort .
