The present invention relates to a container for spherical products, particularly fruits, and more specifically a container to collectively contain a certain number of pieces, with a configuration tending to the sphere, such as oranges, tangerines, apples, kiwis, balls, etc.

The object of the invention is to provide a package that can be easily used by anyone, including children, at the time of attempting to easily and comfortably transport a series of pieces, for example of fruit, which the user himself will later consume, all this with a minimum volumetric occupation, which allows to obtain a “pocket”, “adjustable” container and to carry, depending on the diameter of the pieces of fruit to be contained inside, in order to obtain minimum dimensions at all times for Once the container is closed, it also has a large printing surface and the container can be customized 100%.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Numerous types of packaging for fruits are known, in order to market this type of products, so that when designing this type of packaging the volumetry of the package is not a determining factor.

However, the scope of the invention focuses on the consumer himself who, once obtained the fruit, in a certain volume, intends to transport a smaller volume of fruit, for example three pieces of fruit, for later consumption, specifying of a container that occupies little size (if possible pocket), and that has a disposable and recyclable character.

Well, the packages that are known to date are not intended to optimize space by virtue of the configuration tending to the sphere that has certain types of fruits, such as mandarins, oranges, apples, kiwis, so that they have an excessive volumetry that makes them difficult to transport in a pocket or similar, as well as a structure that as a whole is not recyclable.

On the other hand, this type of packaging has a fixed volumetry, which does not allow them to adapt optimally to the dimensions of the pieces of fruit that are treated in each case, which is therefore an excessive volumetric occupation, without systems of user-friendly opening for any user.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The container for spherical products, particularly fruit that is recommended, solves in a fully satisfactory way the problem described above, based on a simple but effective solution.

For this, the package of the invention is obtained from a rectangular sheet of cardboard, paper or cardboard that has two longitudinal fold lines that determine three sectors, one central and majority and two lateral, so that these lateral sectors are affected by one side of two arched bending lines in each case and also, externally to those lines some areas on which adhesive is applied for fixing on the inner side of the central and majority sector, in order to market the container adopting a configuration laminate and fold, and allow its deployment when it will be filled with the corresponding pieces of fruit.

One of the ends of the central majority sector is extended in a trapezoidal flap, through which the closure of the container is carried out once the fruit has been deployed and introduced inside, so that the lateral sectors in the deployment of the container lateral retention walls of the pieces of fruit, this being arranged on the central and majority sector transversely to it, so that said central and majority sector is intended to be rolled, forming a kind of cylinder that envelops the fruit, being retained in by virtue of said flap, which will be provided with an adhesive sheet with its corresponding protective tape, or, in a simpler version, said flap could be fixed by adhesive tape or by any other known means of adhesion, such as a label With product data.

In this way, the package adapts perfectly to the different diameters that the pieces of fruit contained in its interior could present, since the extreme closing flange does not have a fixed closing position, but can be fixed at different distances from the opposite end of said central sector quickly, conveniently and easily.

The central sector will present in its middle area of die cuts that determine aeration windows that allow the pieces of fruit to remain in optimal conditions of consumption for a maximum time.

On the other hand, when opening the container once closed, it is planned that the package includes die cut and / or climbing lines for opening once closed.

More specifically, these opening means will preferably materialize based on the following two solutions:

On the one hand, it is planned to include a double climbing line in correspondence with the zone of union of the closing flange with the central sector, so that the breakage of this flange would cause the automatic disassembly of the container, leaving it completely open, as an access tray to each and every one of the pieces of fruit contained within it.

The second option, which can be combined with the first or materialize independently is the inclusion of a pair of divergent climbing lines in correspondence with the middle zone of one of the lateral sectors and extending to its folding zone, so that the elimination of this die-cut and trapezoidal sector would generate the opening of the corresponding end of the cylinder formed by the container, allowing the unitary extraction of the pieces contained within it through said end.

It only remains to point out that, although the package has been designed to carry out the packaging process manually by the user at the time it deems convenient, it is not ruled out that said process can be carried out in a manner industrialized and automated / mechanized.

In this way, a very economical, fully recyclable, easily disposable, easy-to-use container is achieved, with a minimum volumetric occupancy, and which can be easily adjusted to the diameter of the pieces, for example of fruits to be contained within it.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the figures outlined, it can be seen how the container for spherical products, particularly fruits, is constituted from a laminar body of cardboard, paper or rectangular cardboard, in which a central sector (1) is defined, as well as two lateral sectors (2) delimited by two longitudinal folding lines (3).

The central sector (1) will form a cylindrical and hollow body to retain the fruit pieces (4), being affected by aeration windows (5).

Said central sector (1) has at one of its ends a closing flange (7), of trapezoidal configuration, affected in correspondence with its zone of confluence with said central sector (1) of a pair of climbing lines (6) for longitudinal opening of the container once closed, flange (7) that will be provided with an adhesive surface (8), with its corresponding removable protective sheet at the time of use of the container, intended to be fixed on the opposite edge of the central sector (1 ), after shaping the cylindrical body and adjusting it to the diameter of the pieces of fruit (4) contained within it.

On the other hand, the lateral sectors (2) have arcuate fold lines (9) in their middle area, said lateral sectors being fixed to the central sector (1) by their lateral ends through adhesive zones (12), so that the intermediate zone of these lateral sectors (2) determines walls (11) of lateral retention of the pieces of fruit (4), counting on a pair of divergent lines of die cut (10) that allows the opening of the container by one of its bases or sides.

Thus, as shown in Figures 3 to 5, the package will be deployed so that the lateral sectors (2) determine the said lateral retention walls (11) of the fruit pieces (4) and the central sector can be wound ( 1) on the pieces of fruit adapting to its diameter, and stabilize perfectly by gluing the flange (7) on the opposite end of said central sector (1).

When opening the container, it can be opened through the double climbing line (6), the fruit being accessible as shown in Figure 7, or opened through the pair of divergent die cutting lines (10) , as shown in figure 8, being able to extract the fruits unitarily from the side, as shown in figure 9.

Window drilling (5) could be sealed with a sheet of transparent material, depending on the needs of the product to be packaged.

As previously mentioned, the package (1) contemplates the possibility of being able to package any spherical product, such as tennis balls, etc.
