Abstract
1. Implante dental, del tipo de los que permiten la fijación ósea de piezas dentarias y de prótesis dentales; caracterizado porque consta de un cuerpo básico (1) sustancialmente cilíndrico alrededor de un eje central (2) y que comprende: un cuerpo cónico (3), en su zona posterior, que incluye un filo autorroscante (31) en su periferia exterior para poder realizar un anclaje mediante atornillado en un hueco preformado en la mandíbula ósea del paciente; un cilindro liso (4) para coincidir con la zona de paso a través de la encía, y que incluye un reborde (41) para marcar el tope en la introducción del cuerpo básico (1) en la mandíbula; un tramo troncocónico liso (5) para facilitar la sujeción a la parte inferior de una funda dental; un cuerpo hexagonal (6) para facilitar el agarre de las herramientas estándar en la operación del atornillado del cuerpo cónico (3); y finalmente un tramo extremo troncocónico liso (7) en la zona anterior para servir de base de fijación o cementación a una prótesis o pieza dentaria.
