Description
The invention relates to a wallpaper scraper, i.e. a tool for removing wallpaper from walls. The invention also relates to an electrical machine that works with such a wallpaper scraper.
Wallpaper scrapers are known as hand-operated tools. Such wallpaper scrapers have a blade that is attached to a handle. Wallpaper scrapers are also known and are used as tools in electrical machines. An example of such a wallpaper scraping machine is the "Skil Electric Scraper 7710", in which an electric motor moves the tool back and forth, making wallpaper scraping easier.
The object of the present invention is to show a way in which wallpaper residue can be removed more efficiently from a wall using an electric machine and to provide a tool for such a machine.
A wallpaper scraper according to the invention has a carrier disk for mounting on a shaft, and a plurality of blades attached to the carrier disk, each of the blades being held by a clamp and thus advantageously easy to replace when worn. Such a wallpaper scraper is used as part of a wallpaper scraping machine which has an electric motor and a shaft driven by the electric motor. During operation, the wallpaper scraper is attached to the shaft of the wallpaper scraping machine as an interchangeable tool and is set in rotation by the shaft. Rotating blades can be used to remove wallpaper residue at least as well as with standard devices that move a blade back and forth linearly.
It is particularly advantageous that a wallpaper scraper according to the invention can also be used as a tool with a portable grinder or other machine, such as a machine for smoothing plaster or concrete that has not yet solidified. To do this, it is sufficient to mount a wallpaper scraper according to the invention on the tool plate driven by a shaft instead of a grinding wheel or similar.
The blades of a wallpaper scraper according to the invention can all be held by a common clamp which is attached to the carrier disk. However, in terms of cost and weight, it is usually better if each blade is held by its own clamp.
An advantageous development of the invention provides that each of the blades is clamped between two clamping jaws, which are connected to one another by a latching connection, preferably by an unlockable latching connection. Unlockable locking connections allow for easy blade replacement.
Unlockable latching connections can be realized by allowing a component of the connection to be elastically deformed, for example by bending a latching hook out of its latching position and thus releasing the latching connection. The unlockable locking connection is preferably effected by a resiliently movable web which carries at least one locking hook and a Unlocking of the locking connection is made possible by pressing on an end section of the web, one of the two clamping jaws carrying a resiliently movable web and the other of the two clamping jaws having an opening for inserting the web. In this way, blades can be replaced quickly and with little effort; in particular, no tools are required to replace blades.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the
