Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sliding door system for installation in a building wall. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for maintaining such a sliding door system.
- a sliding door can comprise two door leaves arranged opposite one another, which are pivotably mounted on a horizontally movable door leaf support and can be pivoted into corresponding door openings in a building wall by means of a pivoting mechanism when the door leaf support is moved, for example by means of an electric drive.
- the sliding door In order to keep the effort required for repairs and maintenance to a minimum, the sliding door should be easily accessible from the outside and easy to remove from the building wall.
- the DE 101 63 061 A1 shows a pivoting mechanism which is designed as a parallelogram guide and that a distance between the door leaves is specified by a link control depending on the position of the sliding door.
- a first aspect of the invention relates to a sliding door system for installation in a building wall.
- the sliding door system comprises a sliding door, which comprises a first door leaf, a second door leaf and a pivot mechanism, as well as a housing for installation in the building wall and accommodating the sliding door.
- the housing has a first door opening and a second door opening opposite the first door opening.
- the sliding door is accessible on both sides via the first door opening and the second door opening.
- the pivot mechanism is designed to convert a sliding movement of the sliding door into a pivoting movement of the first door leaf and the second door leaf, so that the first door leaf opens the first door opening and the second door leaf opens the second door opening in a first position of the sliding door and closes it in a second position of the sliding door.
- the sliding door By deactivating the pivot mechanism, the sliding door can be moved beyond the first door opening and the second door opening into a third position in which at least one component of the sliding door system to be serviced is accessible from outside the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening and/or from which the sliding door can be removed from the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening.
- the housing can, for example, comprise at least one first wall part having the first door opening, a second wall part having the second door opening and a housing frame to which the first and second wall parts are attached opposite one another at a defined distance from one another.
- wall part can be understood to mean a flat element, for example in the form of a plate or a plate composite.
- the housing can be inserted into a corresponding recess in the building wall.
- the sliding door can be mounted so that it can move in a space between the first wall part and the second wall part.
- door leaf can be understood as a flat, for example plate-shaped element, which can also be referred to as a door panel.
- a height of the door leaf can, for example, be greater than a width of the door leaf, whereby the height and width can each be significantly greater than a thickness of the door leaf.
- a sum of the respective thicknesses of the first and second door leaves can be smaller than a distance between the first and second wall parts, so that both door leaves can be accommodated together in the space between the first and second wall parts.
- a pivoting mechanism may comprise a linear guide which allows the first door leaf to change the distance to the second door leaf, preferably in a movement perpendicular to the surface of the first door leaf.
- linear guides are arranged between the first door leaf and the second door leaf.
- Such linear guides can be designed as linear plain bearings, as linear ball bearings or as a scissor mechanism.
- the pivot mechanism can have a parallelogram guide, wherein the door leaves are guided parallel to one another via at least two articulated arms arranged parallel to one another and of equal length.
- the articulated arms preferably have an angle of 45° or less to the plane of the first door leaf.
- a distance between the first door leaf and the second door leaf is preferably specified by one or more guide rails, each of which is engaged by a pin arranged on a door leaf.
- the guide rail is a surface of the guide rail that preferably presses the pin into different positions along the movement and thus moves the first and second door leaves to the distance from each other assigned to the respective door position.
- the guide rails of the guide rails can be arranged above the door leaves in the door frame.
- the gate control moves the door leaves into a swung-out position in which the first door leaf closes the first door opening and the second door leaf closes the second door opening. Shortly before reaching the second position, the further movement of the sliding door through interaction with the gate control causes the two door leaves to assume the swung-out position.
- the swinging out of the door can be electronically controlled via an electric or hydraulic drive.
- the pivot mechanism can be deactivated so that the sliding door can pass through the second position to reach the third position without the door leaves being swung out. Since the door leaves are not swung out when the pivot mechanism is deactivated, the sliding door can be retracted into the right-hand housing section of the housing.
- the electronic control cannot activate the drive to deactivate the pivot mechanism. If the sliding door is activated by interaction with the gate control, the pivot mechanism can be deactivated by removing the pin from the gate, for example by retracting the pin from the gate, or by moving or removing the gate.
- the sliding door can be mounted so that it can move by means of a linear guide device, which for example comprises an upper and lower guide rail. At least one of the guide rails can extend beyond the first and second door openings on both sides.
- a displacement path that the sliding door covers when moving from the first position along a displacement axis to the third position can, for example, be longer than twice the width of the first or second door leaf.
- the displacement path can be shorter than three times the width of the first or second door leaf.
- the displacement path can, for example, be limited by one or more stops that prevent further displacement of the sliding door and/or the door leaves along the displacement axis in one or both directions.
- the pivot mechanism can, for example, be designed to move the first and second door leaf in opposite directions transverse to the sliding axis of the sliding door.
- the respective pivot movements of the first and second door leaf can be coordinated with one another by means of the pivot mechanism, for example in such a way that the two door openings are closed and/or opened again as simultaneously as possible by the respective door leaf.
- the sliding door can, for example, comprise a door leaf carrier which is mounted in the housing so as to be displaceable in two opposite directions along a horizontal displacement axis by means of the linear guide device, for example in the space between the first and second wall parts.
- the first and second door leaves can be mounted so as to be pivotable on the door leaf carrier by means of the pivot mechanism.
- the pivot mechanism can be designed to move the first and second door leaves together towards the door leaf carrier, i.e. to move them away from the respective door opening when the door leaf carrier is moved to the first position. and/or away from the door leaf carrier, ie to move them towards the respective door opening when the door leaf carrier is moved to the second position.
- the door leaf support can, for example, be a single movable support or a movable combination of several individual supports, for example in the form of a support frame.
- the pivot mechanism is designed as a parallelogram guide
- several parallelogram guides can be arranged so that a first parallelogram guide connects the first door leaf to the door leaf support, and a second parallelogram guide connects the second door leaf to the door leaf support.
- a first linear guide connects the first door leaf to the door leaf support
- a second linear guide connects the second door leaf to the door leaf support. This allows the door leaf support to be moved in a straight line along the displacement axis.
- the second position of the sliding door can be between the first position and the third position.
- the second position can be closer to the third position than to the first position.
- the sliding door can be displaceable into the first position by displacement in a first direction and/or into the third position by displacement in a second direction opposite to the first direction, for example along the horizontal displacement axis.
- the sliding door it is possible for the sliding door to be moved at least partially beyond a left outer edge of the first and second door openings by moving it into the first position and at least partially beyond a right outer edge of the first and second door openings by moving it into the third position, or vice versa.
- the pivot mechanism should only be deactivated when the sliding door is fully or partially open, i.e. in the first position or an intermediate position between the first and second positions, but not in the second position, i.e. in the closed state.
- a part of the sliding door that can be moved beyond the first and second door openings can comprise at least a part of the first and/or second door leaf.
- first and second door leaf are completely outside the first and second door openings in the first position and/or completely between the first and second door openings in the second position.
- the first and second door leaf can, for example, be partly outside the first and second door openings and partly between the first and second door openings. In other words, it is possible that the first and second door openings are still open a crack in the third position.
- the part of the sliding door which is accessible from outside the housing via the first and/or second door opening in the third position may, for example, be a part which is not accessible from outside the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening in the first and/or second position, for example because it is then covered by the housing or by at least one or both door leaves.
- the sliding door system can comprise an electric drive device for generating the sliding movement of the sliding door, for example the door leaf carrier.
- the electric drive device can comprise an electric motor and electrical and/or electronic components for controlling the electric motor, for example in the form of a control unit or a transformer. It is possible for one or more of these components to be arranged on the sliding door, for example on the door leaf support. By moving the sliding door to the third position, these components can be moved so far that they are accessible to a technician from outside the housing via the first and/or second door opening.
- Such a sliding door system ensures simple yet safe installation, maintenance and/or repair.
- the sliding door can be installed and removed by a single person in just a few steps. Nevertheless, the sliding door system is still burglar-proof because maintenance and/or repair is only possible when the sliding door is unlocked or unlocked.
- a second aspect of the invention relates to a method for servicing a sliding door system according to an embodiment of the first aspect of the invention.
- the method comprises at least the following steps: deactivating the pivoting mechanism to enable the sliding door to be moved beyond the first door opening and the second door opening into the third position, and moving the sliding door beyond the first door opening and the second door opening into the third position to enable access to the at least one component to be serviced via the first door opening and/or the second door opening from outside the housing and/or removing the sliding door from the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening.
- the first door leaf and the second door leaf are arranged in the first position at least partially in a left housing section of the housing located to the left of the first door opening and the second door opening, in the second position at least partially between the first door opening and the second door opening and in the third position at least partially in a right housing section of the housing located to the right of the first door opening and the second door opening.
- the pivot mechanism is used to change the distance between the first door leaf and the second door leaf.
- the pivot mechanism therefore makes it possible to bring the door leaves so close together in order to reach the first position that the door leaves can be inserted into the left-hand housing section.
- the pivot mechanism also makes it possible to spread the door leaves in the second position so that the outer surfaces of the door leaves are flush with the outer surface of the housing. Sliding doors with corresponding pivot mechanisms are known from the documents cited above.
- the pivot mechanism can also be called a spreading mechanism.
- first and second door leaves can be arranged entirely in the left housing section without protruding into the first and second door openings.
- only a front part of the sliding door can be arranged in the right housing section.
- a rear part of the sliding door, which faces the left housing section can be arranged between the first and second door openings and can thus be accessed from the outside, i.e. from outside the housing.
- predominantly movable parts of the sliding door system or other components requiring maintenance can be arranged in this rear part and can be moved together with the sliding door.
- the left housing section can also be accessible from outside the housing via the first and/or second door openings.
- the housing itself can contain predominantly non-movable components or components that do not require maintenance during the intended service life of the sliding door system.
- the sliding door is designed such that the component to be serviced is only accessible in the third position.
- the component to be serviced can be attached to the left housing section or to a part of the sliding door that remains in the first position and in the second position of the sliding door in the left housing section of the housing.
- the left housing section is only accessible when the sliding door is moved to the third position, allowing access to the left housing section.
- the sliding door can be mounted in the housing so that it can be moved on both sides beyond the first door opening and the second door opening by means of a linear guide device.
- the linear guide device can be arranged at least partially in the right-hand housing section.
- at least one guide rail or at least one guide shoe of the linear guide device can protrude into the right-hand housing section.
- a gap between an edge section of the first door opening and an edge section of the second door opening can be covered by at least one cover plate.
- the housing in the area of the first and second door opening can be covered or enclosed by one or more cover plates in such a way that when the sliding door is fully or partially opened, i.e. when it is in the first position or between the first and second positions, no insight or access into the interior of the housing is possible, for example into the right-hand housing section.
- the cover plate can be part of a frame, such as a frame ceiling or a side frame wall.
- the cover plate covers the right housing section of the housing. This protects the right housing section of the housing from dirt and prevents the user from seeing into the right housing section.
- the cover plate can be attached to the housing by means of a locking mechanism and can be removed by unlocking the
- the locking mechanism can be removable from the housing.
- the locking mechanism can only be unlocked when the sliding door is in the first position and/or between the first position and the second position.
- the locking mechanism can be unlocked using a special tool or a special key. For example, a holder for the tool or key can be covered by the two door leaves when the sliding door is closed and no longer covered by the two door leaves when the sliding door is fully or partially open and can therefore be accessible from the outside.
- the first door leaf and the second door leaf can be spaced apart from one another in the second position transversely to a displacement axis along which the sliding door can be displaced than in the first position and/or the third position.
- the first and second door leaves can be at least partially recessed into the respective door opening when the sliding door is closed, for example in order to seal the door openings sufficiently soundproof and/or airtight.
- the distance in the width direction of the housing between the two door leaves in the pivoted-in state can be selected such that they can be displaced beyond the door openings in the housing in both directions of the displacement axis.
- the at least one component to be serviced can be arranged on the sliding door. This means that the component(s) to be serviced can be moved along with the sliding door. Access to this component(s) is thus made possible by simply moving the sliding door to the third position.
- deactivating the pivot mechanism which can be deactivated, for example, by simply turning or unhooking a lever, no further disassembly processes are required.
- the sliding door system can further comprise an electric drive device for generating the sliding movement.
- the at least one component to be serviced can be a component of the electric drive device.
- individual components of the electric A drive device such as a drive motor, a drive controller or a transformer can be maintained, replaced and/or repaired with little effort.
- the pivot mechanism can be at least partially accessible from outside the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening when the sliding door is in an intermediate position between the first position and the second position.
- This can be understood to mean that access to the pivot mechanism is not possible, or at least not possible from outside the housing, in particular not from an outside of the building wall, if the sliding door is in the second position, i.e. in the closed state.
- the sliding door after unlocking the sliding door, for example using a door key, it can initially be moved from the second position in the direction of the first position, for example using the electric drive device, until the first and second door leaves are completely pivoted in.
- the pivot mechanism can then be deactivated so that the first and second door leaves are not pivoted out again when moved in the opposite direction, i.e. towards the second and third positions, which would prevent further movement into the third position under certain circumstances.
- the housing can further comprise a first door frame that at least partially frames the first door opening. In the second position, the first door leaf can be at least partially recessed in the first door frame. Additionally or alternatively, the housing can further comprise a second door frame that at least partially frames the second door opening. In the second position, the second door leaf can be at least partially recessed in the second door frame.
- door frame can be understood to mean, for example, a door frame or a door frame element, for example in the form of a sheet metal or wooden part. It is possible for the first and/or second door frame to comprise a lip seal for sealing the respective door opening.
- the lip seal can, for example, be compressed by an outer edge section of the respective door leaf when the respective door leaf is at least partially recessed in the respective door frame.
- a gap between the housing and the closed sliding door can thus be effectively sealed, for example for soundproofing or fire protection purposes.
- the pivot mechanism can be designed to convert the sliding movement into the pivot movement such that, in the second position, an outer surface of the first door leaf together with an outer surface of the housing adjacent to the first door opening forms a first flat surface. Additionally or alternatively, the pivot mechanism can be designed to convert the sliding movement into the pivot movement such that an outer surface of the second door leaf together with an outer surface of the housing adjacent to the second door opening forms a second flat surface. This can increase the burglary security of the sliding door system compared to designs with non-flush door leaves. In addition, this can ensure that the door leaves are barely visible from the surrounding building wall when closed, if this is desired.
- the method can further comprise removing the sliding door from the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening starting from the third position. In this way, the sliding door can be removed from the housing as a whole with just a few simple steps and little effort.
- the sliding door can be moved from the third position towards the first position and rotated into the first door opening and/or the second door opening.
- the sliding door can be tilted in a suitable manner.
- the sliding door can be removed, for example, using a separate removal mechanism and/or using the linear guide device (see above).
- the sliding door can be mounted at two bearing points in the linear guide device, whereby by releasing the connection of the sliding door to one of the bearing points, the other bearing point can act as a pivot point around which the sliding door can now be rotated.
- any other embodiments familiar to the person skilled in the art are also possible.
- the method may further comprise inserting the sliding door into the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening, whereby the sliding door can be brought into the third position, and subsequently Activating the pivot mechanism.
- insertion can be carried out in the reverse order to removal. This ensures that the sliding door can be easily replaced.
- Fig. 1 shows a sliding door system 100 with a sliding door 102 and a housing 104 which is installed in a building wall 106.
- the housing 104 has a first door opening 108 and a second door opening 110 which is opposite the first door opening 108.
- the sliding door 102 is in this example inside the housing 104 mounted so as to be displaceable along a horizontal displacement axis 112 on both sides, here both to the left and to the right, beyond the two door openings 108, 110.
- the sliding door 102 comprises a first door leaf 114 for closing the first door opening 108 and a second door leaf 116 for closing the second door opening 110.
- the two door leaves 114, 116 are opposite one another in a direction transverse to the sliding axis 112.
- the two door leaves 114, 116 can be displaced in the same direction and synchronized with one another along the sliding axis 112 relative to the door openings 108, 110.
- the sliding door 102 further comprises a pivoting mechanism 118 which is designed to convert a sliding movement of the sliding door 102, which can be caused for example by means of an electric drive device 120 upon actuation of a corresponding door switch, into a pivoting movement of the two door leaves 114, 116 (indicated by two arrows), so that the door openings 108, 110 are either closed or opened depending on the sliding direction of the sliding door 102.
- a pivoting mechanism 118 which is designed to convert a sliding movement of the sliding door 102, which can be caused for example by means of an electric drive device 120 upon actuation of a corresponding door switch, into a pivoting movement of the two door leaves 114, 116 (indicated by two arrows), so that the door openings 108, 110 are either closed or opened depending on the sliding direction of the sliding door 102.
- the door leaves 114, 116 can, for example, be swung in or out via a parallelogram guide and a cam control coupled to the respective parallelogram guide.
- a parallelogram guide and a cam control coupled to the respective parallelogram guide.
- any other design of the swivel mechanism 118 is also possible.
- the sliding door system 100 comprises a first door frame 122, which at least partially frames the first door opening 108, and a second door frame 124, which at least partially frames the second door opening 110.
- a suitable door seal for sealing the respective door leaf 114, 116 against the housing 104 and/or the building wall 106 can be integrated into at least one of the two door frames 122, 124.
- Fig. 1 shows the sliding door 102 in the open state by way of example, in which the two door leaves 114, 116 are completely arranged in a left housing section 126, which is located to the left of the two door openings 108, 110, and thus completely expose the two door openings 108, 110.
- the sliding door 102 can be moved to a second position as shown in Fig. 2
- the second position corresponds to a closed state of the sliding door 102, in which the first door opening 108 is completely closed by the first door leaf 114 and the second door opening 110 is completely closed by the second door leaf 116.
- the two door leaves 114, 116 are each partially sunk into the corresponding door frame 122 or 124 by pivoting accordingly using the pivot mechanism 118 in order to seal the sliding door 102 in a suitable manner and/or to ensure that the building wall 106 appears as flat as possible when the sliding door 102 is closed, i.e. when the sliding door 102 is closed, as little as possible a step is created between a respective outer surface of the door leaves 114, 116 and a corresponding outer surface of the building wall 106.
- An outer surface of one of the door leaves 114, 116 can be flush with an outer surface of the door frame 122, 124 that accommodates the door leaf 114, 116.
- the sliding door 102 can also be moved to a third position, as shown for example in Fig. 3 shown.
- the sliding door 102 can, for example, first be unlocked and, starting from the second position, moved a little way towards the first position. This can be done manually or by means of the electric drive device 120, so that the door leaves 114, 116 are retracted from the respective door opening 108 or 110 by means of the pivot mechanism 118. In the process, their mutual distance across the sliding axis 112 is reduced.
- the pivot mechanism 118 can then be deactivated in a suitable manner, for example by unhooking a control lever from the gate control. If the sliding door 102 is now moved in the opposite direction, ie in the direction of the second position, the door leaves 114, 116 remain in their previous, pivoted-in state due to the deactivated pivot mechanism 118, so that the sliding door 102 or at least a front part thereof can be pushed beyond the two door openings 108, 110 into a housing section 300 on the right here, which is located to the right of the two door openings 108, 110.
- the sliding door 102 can be removed from the housing 104 very easily in its entirety in this third position, ie without having to be further disassembled into its individual parts, as is shown by way of example in Fig. 5 to Fig. 7 shown.
- a section of a door leaf support 400 can be seen, on which the two door leaves 114, 116 can be pivotally mounted by means of the pivot mechanism 118 (not shown here).
- Components to be serviced such as a drive motor 402, a drive control 404 or a ring transformer 406, which can be parts of the electric drive device 120, or other mechanically movable, electrical and/or electronic components, can be attached to the rear part of the door leaf support 400.
- this rear part is easily accessible from the outside via the two door openings 108, 110.
- a lower guide 408 and an upper guide 410 arranged offset therefrom are shown, which guide the sliding door 102, more precisely the door leaf support 400, when it is moved along the sliding axis 112.
- FIG. 4 An example is Fig. 4 the lower guide 408 is arranged in the left housing section 126 and the upper guide 410 is arranged between the left housing section 126 and the right housing section 300. However, it is also possible that at least one of the two guides 408, 410 is arranged at least partially in the right housing section 300.
- the sliding door 102 In order to remove the sliding door 102 from the housing 104, it can, for example, be moved a little way back towards the first position starting from the third position and can be swung out of the housing 104 in a suitable manner, as shown in Fig. 5 to Fig. 7 is illustrated.
- the sliding door 102 can be inserted into the housing 104 in the reverse order to its removal.
- the building wall 106 was Fig. 2 to Fig. 7 omitted.

The present invention relates to a sliding door system for installation in a building wall. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for maintaining such a sliding door system.
A sliding door can comprise two door leaves arranged opposite one another, which are pivotably mounted on a horizontally movable door leaf support and can be pivoted into corresponding door openings in a building wall by means of a pivoting mechanism when the door leaf support is moved, for example by means of an electric drive. In order to keep the effort required for repairs and maintenance to a minimum, the sliding door should be easily accessible from the outside and easy to remove from the building wall.

There may therefore be a need for a sliding door system to be installed in a building wall that simplifies the repair and/or maintenance of a sliding door.
This need can be met by the subject matter of one of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are defined in the dependent claims and in the description below.
A first aspect of the invention relates to a sliding door system for installation in a building wall. The sliding door system comprises a sliding door, which comprises a first door leaf, a second door leaf and a pivot mechanism, as well as a housing for installation in the building wall and accommodating the sliding door. The housing has a first door opening and a second door opening opposite the first door opening. The sliding door is accessible on both sides via the first door opening and the second door opening. The pivot mechanism is designed to convert a sliding movement of the sliding door into a pivoting movement of the first door leaf and the second door leaf, so that the first door leaf opens the first door opening and the second door leaf opens the second door opening in a first position of the sliding door and closes it in a second position of the sliding door. By deactivating the pivot mechanism, the sliding door can be moved beyond the first door opening and the second door opening into a third position in which at least one component of the sliding door system to be serviced is accessible from outside the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening and/or from which the sliding door can be removed from the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening.
The housing can, for example, comprise at least one first wall part having the first door opening, a second wall part having the second door opening and a housing frame to which the first and second wall parts are attached opposite one another at a defined distance from one another. The term "wall part" can be understood to mean a flat element, for example in the form of a plate or a plate composite. The housing can be inserted into a corresponding recess in the building wall. The sliding door can be mounted so that it can move in a space between the first wall part and the second wall part.
The term "door leaf" can be understood as a flat, for example plate-shaped element, which can also be referred to as a door panel. A height of the door leaf can, for example, be greater than a width of the door leaf, whereby the height and width can each be significantly greater than a thickness of the door leaf. A sum of the respective thicknesses of the first and second door leaves can be smaller than a distance between the first and second wall parts, so that both door leaves can be accommodated together in the space between the first and second wall parts.
In a first embodiment, a pivoting mechanism may comprise a linear guide which allows the first door leaf to change the distance to the second door leaf, preferably in a movement perpendicular to the surface of the first door leaf.
Preferably, several such linear guides are arranged between the first door leaf and the second door leaf. Such linear guides can be designed as linear plain bearings, as linear ball bearings or as a scissor mechanism.
In a second embodiment, the pivot mechanism can have a parallelogram guide, wherein the door leaves are guided parallel to one another via at least two articulated arms arranged parallel to one another and of equal length. The articulated arms preferably have an angle of 45° or less to the plane of the first door leaf.
A distance between the first door leaf and the second door leaf is preferably specified by one or more guide rails, each of which is engaged by a pin arranged on a door leaf. When the sliding door is moved, the pin is moved along a guide rail of the guide rail. The guide rail is a surface of the guide rail that preferably presses the pin into different positions along the movement and thus moves the first and second door leaves to the distance from each other assigned to the respective door position. The guide rails of the guide rails can be arranged above the door leaves in the door frame.
In the second position in particular, the gate control moves the door leaves into a swung-out position in which the first door leaf closes the first door opening and the second door leaf closes the second door opening. Shortly before reaching the second position, the further movement of the sliding door through interaction with the gate control causes the two door leaves to assume the swung-out position. However, any other design of the swing mechanism is also possible. For example, the swinging out of the door can be electronically controlled via an electric or hydraulic drive.
The pivot mechanism can be deactivated so that the sliding door can pass through the second position to reach the third position without the door leaves being swung out. Since the door leaves are not swung out when the pivot mechanism is deactivated, the sliding door can be retracted into the right-hand housing section of the housing.
If the sliding door has an electronically controlled electric or hydraulic drive, the electronic control cannot activate the drive to deactivate the pivot mechanism. If the sliding door is activated by interaction with the gate control, the pivot mechanism can be deactivated by removing the pin from the gate, for example by retracting the pin from the gate, or by moving or removing the gate.
It is possible for the sliding door to be mounted so that it can move by means of a linear guide device, which for example comprises an upper and lower guide rail. At least one of the guide rails can extend beyond the first and second door openings on both sides. A displacement path that the sliding door covers when moving from the first position along a displacement axis to the third position can, for example, be longer than twice the width of the first or second door leaf. The displacement path can be shorter than three times the width of the first or second door leaf. The displacement path can, for example, be limited by one or more stops that prevent further displacement of the sliding door and/or the door leaves along the displacement axis in one or both directions.
The pivot mechanism can, for example, be designed to move the first and second door leaf in opposite directions transverse to the sliding axis of the sliding door. The respective pivot movements of the first and second door leaf can be coordinated with one another by means of the pivot mechanism, for example in such a way that the two door openings are closed and/or opened again as simultaneously as possible by the respective door leaf.
The sliding door can, for example, comprise a door leaf carrier which is mounted in the housing so as to be displaceable in two opposite directions along a horizontal displacement axis by means of the linear guide device, for example in the space between the first and second wall parts. The first and second door leaves can be mounted so as to be pivotable on the door leaf carrier by means of the pivot mechanism. In this case, the pivot mechanism can be designed to move the first and second door leaves together towards the door leaf carrier, i.e. to move them away from the respective door opening when the door leaf carrier is moved to the first position. and/or away from the door leaf carrier, ie to move them towards the respective door opening when the door leaf carrier is moved to the second position.
The door leaf support can, for example, be a single movable support or a movable combination of several individual supports, for example in the form of a support frame.
In particular, if the pivot mechanism is designed as a parallelogram guide, several parallelogram guides can be arranged so that a first parallelogram guide connects the first door leaf to the door leaf support, and a second parallelogram guide connects the second door leaf to the door leaf support. Even with linear guides, it is advantageous that a first linear guide connects the first door leaf to the door leaf support, and a second linear guide connects the second door leaf to the door leaf support. This allows the door leaf support to be moved in a straight line along the displacement axis.
The second position of the sliding door can be between the first position and the third position. The second position can be closer to the third position than to the first position.
The sliding door can be displaceable into the first position by displacement in a first direction and/or into the third position by displacement in a second direction opposite to the first direction, for example along the horizontal displacement axis.
In other words, it is possible for the sliding door to be moved at least partially beyond a left outer edge of the first and second door openings by moving it into the first position and at least partially beyond a right outer edge of the first and second door openings by moving it into the third position, or vice versa.
For safety reasons, the pivot mechanism should only be deactivated when the sliding door is fully or partially open, i.e. in the first position or an intermediate position between the first and second positions, but not in the second position, i.e. in the closed state.
A part of the sliding door that can be moved beyond the first and second door openings can comprise at least a part of the first and/or second door leaf.
It is possible that the first and second door leaf are completely outside the first and second door openings in the first position and/or completely between the first and second door openings in the second position. In the third position, the first and second door leaf can, for example, be partly outside the first and second door openings and partly between the first and second door openings. In other words, it is possible that the first and second door openings are still open a crack in the third position.
The part of the sliding door which is accessible from outside the housing via the first and/or second door opening in the third position may, for example, be a part which is not accessible from outside the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening in the first and/or second position, for example because it is then covered by the housing or by at least one or both door leaves.
In addition, the sliding door system can comprise an electric drive device for generating the sliding movement of the sliding door, for example the door leaf carrier.
The electric drive device can comprise an electric motor and electrical and/or electronic components for controlling the electric motor, for example in the form of a control unit or a transformer. It is possible for one or more of these components to be arranged on the sliding door, for example on the door leaf support. By moving the sliding door to the third position, these components can be moved so far that they are accessible to a technician from outside the housing via the first and/or second door opening.
Such a sliding door system ensures simple yet safe installation, maintenance and/or repair. The sliding door can be installed and removed by a single person in just a few steps. Nevertheless, the sliding door system is still burglar-proof because maintenance and/or repair is only possible when the sliding door is unlocked or unlocked.
A second aspect of the invention relates to a method for servicing a sliding door system according to an embodiment of the first aspect of the invention. The method comprises at least the following steps: deactivating the pivoting mechanism to enable the sliding door to be moved beyond the first door opening and the second door opening into the third position, and moving the sliding door beyond the first door opening and the second door opening into the third position to enable access to the at least one component to be serviced via the first door opening and/or the second door opening from outside the housing and/or removing the sliding door from the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening. This ensures access to components of the sliding door system to be serviced in just a few simple steps. Furthermore, easy removal of the sliding door as a whole is made possible.
Features of the method according to an embodiment of the second aspect of the invention can also be features of the sliding door system according to an embodiment of the first aspect of the invention and vice versa.
Possible features and advantages of embodiments of the invention may be considered to be based, among other things and without limiting the invention, on the ideas and findings described below.
According to the invention, the first door leaf and the second door leaf are arranged in the first position at least partially in a left housing section of the housing located to the left of the first door opening and the second door opening, in the second position at least partially between the first door opening and the second door opening and in the third position at least partially in a right housing section of the housing located to the right of the first door opening and the second door opening.
The pivot mechanism is used to change the distance between the first door leaf and the second door leaf. The pivot mechanism therefore makes it possible to bring the door leaves so close together in order to reach the first position that the door leaves can be inserted into the left-hand housing section. The pivot mechanism also makes it possible to spread the door leaves in the second position so that the outer surfaces of the door leaves are flush with the outer surface of the housing. Sliding doors with corresponding pivot mechanisms are known from the documents cited above. The pivot mechanism can also be called a spreading mechanism.
The terms "left" and "right" are to be understood here in relation to a sliding axis along which the sliding door can be moved. For example, in the first position, the first and second door leaves can be arranged entirely in the left housing section without protruding into the first and second door openings. In contrast, in the third position, only a front part of the sliding door can be arranged in the right housing section. A rear part of the sliding door, which faces the left housing section, can be arranged between the first and second door openings and can thus be accessed from the outside, i.e. from outside the housing. For example, predominantly movable parts of the sliding door system or other components requiring maintenance can be arranged in this rear part and can be moved together with the sliding door. In the third position, the left housing section can also be accessible from outside the housing via the first and/or second door openings. To further simplify maintenance, the housing itself can contain predominantly non-movable components or components that do not require maintenance during the intended service life of the sliding door system.
According to the invention, the sliding door is designed such that the component to be serviced is only accessible in the third position.
In other words, the component to be serviced can be attached to the left housing section or to a part of the sliding door that remains in the first position and in the second position of the sliding door in the left housing section of the housing.
The left housing section is only accessible when the sliding door is moved to the third position, allowing access to the left housing section.
When the sliding door is moved from the second position to the third position, areas of the door are accessible that are otherwise inaccessible. For example, the left housing section of the housing and a part of the sliding door that would otherwise always remain in the left housing section of the housing are made accessible. The component to be serviced is only accessible in the third position, i.e. not in the first position or the second position.
According to one embodiment, the sliding door can be mounted in the housing so that it can be moved on both sides beyond the first door opening and the second door opening by means of a linear guide device. The linear guide device can be arranged at least partially in the right-hand housing section. For example, at least one guide rail or at least one guide shoe of the linear guide device can protrude into the right-hand housing section.
According to one embodiment, a gap between an edge section of the first door opening and an edge section of the second door opening can be covered by at least one cover plate. In other words, the housing in the area of the first and second door opening can be covered or enclosed by one or more cover plates in such a way that when the sliding door is fully or partially opened, i.e. when it is in the first position or between the first and second positions, no insight or access into the interior of the housing is possible, for example into the right-hand housing section. The cover plate can be part of a frame, such as a frame ceiling or a side frame wall.
Preferably, the cover plate covers the right housing section of the housing. This protects the right housing section of the housing from dirt and prevents the user from seeing into the right housing section.
According to one embodiment, the cover plate can be attached to the housing by means of a locking mechanism and can be removed by unlocking the The locking mechanism can be removable from the housing. The locking mechanism can only be unlocked when the sliding door is in the first position and/or between the first position and the second position. The locking mechanism can be unlocked using a special tool or a special key. For example, a holder for the tool or key can be covered by the two door leaves when the sliding door is closed and no longer covered by the two door leaves when the sliding door is fully or partially open and can therefore be accessible from the outside.
According to one embodiment, the first door leaf and the second door leaf can be spaced apart from one another in the second position transversely to a displacement axis along which the sliding door can be displaced than in the first position and/or the third position. In other words, the first and second door leaves can be at least partially recessed into the respective door opening when the sliding door is closed, for example in order to seal the door openings sufficiently soundproof and/or airtight. The distance in the width direction of the housing between the two door leaves in the pivoted-in state can be selected such that they can be displaced beyond the door openings in the housing in both directions of the displacement axis.
According to one embodiment, the at least one component to be serviced can be arranged on the sliding door. This means that the component(s) to be serviced can be moved along with the sliding door. Access to this component(s) is thus made possible by simply moving the sliding door to the third position. In addition to deactivating the pivot mechanism, which can be deactivated, for example, by simply turning or unhooking a lever, no further disassembly processes are required.
According to one embodiment, the sliding door system can further comprise an electric drive device for generating the sliding movement. The at least one component to be serviced can be a component of the electric drive device. Thus, individual components of the electric A drive device such as a drive motor, a drive controller or a transformer can be maintained, replaced and/or repaired with little effort.
According to one embodiment, the pivot mechanism can be at least partially accessible from outside the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening when the sliding door is in an intermediate position between the first position and the second position. This can be understood to mean that access to the pivot mechanism is not possible, or at least not possible from outside the housing, in particular not from an outside of the building wall, if the sliding door is in the second position, i.e. in the closed state. For example, after unlocking the sliding door, for example using a door key, it can initially be moved from the second position in the direction of the first position, for example using the electric drive device, until the first and second door leaves are completely pivoted in. In this intermediate position of the sliding door, the pivot mechanism can then be deactivated so that the first and second door leaves are not pivoted out again when moved in the opposite direction, i.e. towards the second and third positions, which would prevent further movement into the third position under certain circumstances.
According to one embodiment, the housing can further comprise a first door frame that at least partially frames the first door opening. In the second position, the first door leaf can be at least partially recessed in the first door frame. Additionally or alternatively, the housing can further comprise a second door frame that at least partially frames the second door opening. In the second position, the second door leaf can be at least partially recessed in the second door frame. The term "door frame" can be understood to mean, for example, a door frame or a door frame element, for example in the form of a sheet metal or wooden part. It is possible for the first and/or second door frame to comprise a lip seal for sealing the respective door opening. The lip seal can, for example, be compressed by an outer edge section of the respective door leaf when the respective door leaf is at least partially recessed in the respective door frame. A gap between the housing and the closed sliding door can thus be effectively sealed, for example for soundproofing or fire protection purposes.
According to one embodiment, the pivot mechanism can be designed to convert the sliding movement into the pivot movement such that, in the second position, an outer surface of the first door leaf together with an outer surface of the housing adjacent to the first door opening forms a first flat surface.
According to one embodiment, the method can further comprise removing the sliding door from the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening starting from the third position. In this way, the sliding door can be removed from the housing as a whole with just a few simple steps and little effort.
According to one embodiment, the sliding door can be moved from the third position towards the first position and rotated into the first door opening and/or the second door opening. In addition, the sliding door can be tilted in a suitable manner. The sliding door can be removed, for example, using a separate removal mechanism and/or using the linear guide device (see above). For example, the sliding door can be mounted at two bearing points in the linear guide device, whereby by releasing the connection of the sliding door to one of the bearing points, the other bearing point can act as a pivot point around which the sliding door can now be rotated. However, any other embodiments familiar to the person skilled in the art are also possible.
According to one embodiment, the method may further comprise inserting the sliding door into the housing via the first door opening and/or the second door opening, whereby the sliding door can be brought into the third position, and subsequently Activating the pivot mechanism. For example, insertion can be carried out in the reverse order to removal. This ensures that the sliding door can be easily replaced.

The sliding
In addition, the sliding

It is possible that when the sliding
For this purpose, the sliding
