Technical field of the invention

The present invention relates to a shoulder strap for a leather goods item, in particular of the bag, satchel or document holder type.

The present invention further relates to such a leather goods article provided with the shoulder strap, as well as to an assembly comprising a support, for example a suitcase, and the article mounted on the support with the shoulder strap in a so-called tight configuration.

State of the art

Leather goods are known, in particular of the bag, satchel or briefcase type, which are provided with a main envelope defining one or more compartments, a handle or grip attached to the main envelope and a shoulder strap attached to the main envelope at opposite ends of the shoulder strap.

There are shoulder straps that have two sections between its ends and which are attached to a shoulder strap adjustment buckle, which is thus interposed between the two sections.

Some shoulder straps are securely attached to the main envelope while others are removably attached to the main envelope.

Detachable shoulder straps are generally provided, at their ends, with snap hooks, for example in the form of actuable hooks which are configured to be mechanically secured to rings formed projecting from the main casing of the article.

The shoulder straps described above are particularly practical for allowing a user of the leather goods item to carry the latter on the shoulder.

The document US2014310921 describes an apparatus for connecting the respective ends of a belt strap attached to a garment.

Disclosure of the invention

The invention aims to provide a shoulder strap for a leather goods item, which is particularly simple and convenient to use, while offering even more practicality depending on the circumstances.

The invention thus relates, in a first aspect, to a shoulder strap for a leather goods item, in particular of the bag, satchel or document holder type, having a determined length and delimited between a first end and a second end opposite the first end, a first section of ribbon extending from the first end, a second section of ribbon extending from the second end, and a first loop having a first closed frame to which are attached, on one side the first section of ribbon, opposite the first end, and on an opposite side the second section of ribbon, opposite of the second end, characterized in that the first section of ribbon is provided with a hooking tab at the first end and the first loop further comprises a second open frame defining a hooking rod configured to be engaged on the hooking tab in a so-called tight configuration of the shoulder strap in which the latter has a length of use less than its determined length, with the first section of ribbon which is at least partially folded back on itself.

The shoulder strap according to the invention is particularly convenient in that it is possible to reduce its length defined between its first end and its second end by a simple folding movement of the first section of ribbon on itself and to maintain this reduced length by a simple hooking movement of the hooking rod located on the first loop in the hooking tab located on the first section of ribbon at the first end of the shoulder strap.

The transition from its determined length to its reduced length is done quickly and very easily.

Conversely, simply remove the hanging rod from the hanging tab and unfold the first section of ribbon to return the shoulder strap to its determined length.

Thus, the transition from its reduced length to its determined length is also done quickly and very easily.

Thanks to the shoulder strap according to the invention, it is particularly convenient to mount a leather goods item to which the shoulder strap is attached, on a support and to hold this item in a tight position against this support by simply passing the shoulder strap into its so-called tight configuration.

This way, there is no risk of the leather goods swinging, balling or falling off the stand.

This is particularly convenient when the carrier is a suitcase and the leather goods item is a bag, a briefcase, or a briefcase. Indeed, the item can be mounted tightly against the sleeves of a handle, for example a telescopic one, of a piece of luggage.

Other particularly simple and convenient features of the shoulder strap according to the invention are described below.

The first piece of ribbon has an adjustable length and the second piece of ribbon has a fixed length, so that the determined length of the shoulder strap is adjustable.

The first section of ribbon has a second loop, called an adjustment loop, a first section extending from the first end to the second adjustment loop, and a second section extending from the second adjustment loop to the first loop.

The second adjustment loop is formed by a third closed frame having a middle clamping rod extending into the third closed frame, the second section extending from the second adjustment loop, passing around the first closed frame on one side of the first loop, and joining the second adjustment loop where it is secured to the middle rod.

The shoulder strap has a tightening ring arranged around the second section of the first piece of ribbon.

The shoulder strap is configured to be fixedly or removably mounted by its first end and its second end on the leather goods item.

The shoulder strap comprises, at least at its first end, an attachment piece for its pivoting attachment to the leather goods item and a hooking piece from which the hooking tab projects, forming a receiving space for the hooking rod.

The shoulder strap has a ribbon which can be made of leather, or equivalent, or fabric.

The invention also relates, in a second aspect, to a leather goods item, in particular of the bag, satchel or document holder type, provided with a shoulder strap as described above.

The invention also relates, in a third aspect, to an assembly comprising a support, for example a suitcase, and a leather goods item as described above and which is mounted on the support with the shoulder strap in a so-called tight configuration in which the attachment rod is engaged on the attachment tab and the shoulder strap has a length of use less than its determined length, with the first section of ribbon which is at least partially folded back on itself.

Detailed description

THE Figures 1 to 3 show a shoulder strap 1 for a leather goods item, formed mainly of a ribbon 2.

On the Figures 1 and 2 , the shoulder strap 1 is in a first configuration in which it is unfolded, while on the figure 3 , the shoulder strap 1 is in a second configuration, called tight, in which it is at least partially folded back on itself.

The ribbon 2 of the shoulder strap 1 is here made of textile material.

The ribbon 2 of the shoulder strap 1 here has a determined length L1 and delimited between a first end 3 of the shoulder strap 1 and a second end 4 of the shoulder strap 1 opposite the first end 3.

In particular, the shoulder strap 1 is provided with a first section of ribbon 5 extending from the first end 3 and a second section of ribbon 6 extending from the second end 4.

In the illustrated example, the first ribbon section 5 has an adjustable length Li and the second ribbon section 6 has a fixed length L2, so that the determined length of the shoulder strap 1 is adjustable.

The first section of ribbon 5 here has a first section 7 and a second section 8 extending from the first section 7 and folded back on itself.

The shoulder strap 1 is further provided here with a tightening ring 9 arranged around the second section 8 of the first ribbon section 5.

This clamping ring 9 has, for example, the shape of a loop mounted around a fold of the second section 8 of the first section of ribbon 5.

The clamping ring 9 is made of leather or fabric.

The shoulder strap 1 is configured to be fixedly mounted on a leather goods item (see below) by its first end 3 and its second end 4.

The shoulder strap 1 thus comprises, at its first end 3 and its second end 4, attachment parts 10 for the pivoting attachment of the shoulder strap 1.

The shoulder strap 1 also comprises at least one attachment piece 11 from which projects a attachment tab 12 which forms a receiving space, and which are here arranged on the first section of ribbon 5, at the level of the first end 3 of the shoulder strap 1.

The shoulder strap 1 is further provided with a first loop 13 connecting the first section of ribbon 5 to the second section of ribbon 6.

As visible on the figure 4 , the first loop 13 is here made of metallic material.

The first loop 13 is formed of a first closed frame 14 and a second open frame 15, connected to the first closed frame 14.

In particular, the first closed frame 14 has a first branch 16, a second branch 17 opposite the first branch 16, a third branch 18 joining the first branch 16 and the second branch 17, and a fourth branch 19 opposite the third branch 18 and also joining the first branch 16 and the second branch 17.

In the illustrated example, the first branch 16 and the second branch 17 have a length corresponding overall to a height of the ribbon 2 of the shoulder strap 1.

The second open frame 15 has a hanging rod 40 provided with a short branch 20 extending in a first direction projecting from the first closed frame 14 and a long branch 21 extending in a second direction, substantially orthogonal to the first direction, opposite the first closed frame 14.

In particular, the first branch 16 is common to the first closed frame 14 and to the second open frame 15, the short branch 20 extends from a junction between the first branch 16 and the third branch 18, and the long branch 21 extends from the short branch 20.

In the illustrated example, the long branch 21 also has a length corresponding overall to a height of the ribbon 2 of the shoulder strap 1, and is provided at a free end with a return portion.

The first section of ribbon 5 of the shoulder strap 1 is attached, by its second section 8 opposite the first end 3, on one side of the first closed frame 14 and in particular here on its first branch 16, while the second section of ribbon 6 of the shoulder strap 1 is attached on an opposite side of the first closed frame 14, opposite the second end 4, and in particular here on its second branch 17.

The hooking rod 40 is configured to be engaged on the hooking tab 12, with the long branch 21 which is inserted into the receiving space, in the second so-called tight configuration of the shoulder strap 1 (see below).

The shoulder strap 1 is further provided, on the first section of ribbon 5, with a second buckle 24, called an adjustment buckle.

The second adjustment loop 24 is formed by a third closed frame 25 provided with a central tightening rod 26 extending into the third closed frame 25.

In particular, the third closed frame 25 has a fifth branch, a sixth branch opposite the fifth branch, a seventh branch joining the fifth branch and the sixth branch, and an eighth branch opposite the seventh branch and also joining the fifth branch and the sixth branch.

The middle clamping rod 26 extends between the seventh branch and the eighth branch and opposite the fifth branch and the sixth branch.

In the illustrated example, the fifth branch, the sixth branch and the central tightening rod have a length corresponding overall to a height of the ribbon 2 of the shoulder strap 1.

The first section 7 of the first ribbon section 5 extends from the first end 3 to the second adjustment loop 24, and the second section 8 of the first ribbon section 5 extends from the second adjustment loop 24, passes around the first closed frame 14 on one side of the first loop 13 as described above, and joins the second adjustment loop 24 where it is attached to the middle rod 26.

Thus, the first section of ribbon 5 passes through the second adjustment loop 24, between the fifth branch and the central tightening rod 26, then between the sixth branch and the central tightening rod 26.

As visible on the figure 3 , the shoulder strap 1 is configured to be in its second so-called folded configuration, in which the hooking rod 40 is engaged on the hooking tab 12, with the long branch 21 which is inserted into the receiving space, so that the first section of ribbon 5 is at least partially folded back on itself and the shoulder strap 1 has a length of use L3 less than its determined length L1 and here slightly greater than the length L2 of the second section of ribbon 6.

Thus, the shoulder strap 1 is particularly simple and convenient to use, and offers more practicality depending on the circumstances.

Indeed, the shoulder strap 1 is particularly convenient in that it is possible to reduce its length L1 defined between its first end 3 and its second end 4 by a simple movement of folding the first section of ribbon 5 on itself and of maintaining this reduced length L3 by a simple movement of hooking the hooking rod 40 located on the first loop 13 in the hooking tab 12 located on the first section of ribbon 5 at the first end 3 of the shoulder strap 1.

The transition from its determined length L1 to its reduced length L3 is done quickly and very easily.

Conversely, it is sufficient to remove the attachment rod 40 from the attachment tab 12 and unfold the first section of ribbon 5 to return the shoulder strap 1 to its determined length L1.

Thus, the transition from its reduced length L3 to its determined length L1 is also done quickly and very easily.

For example, the Figures 5 and 6 schematically show the shoulder strap 1 described above and secured to a leather goods item, in particular a bag 31, and this same bag 31 mounted on a support, here formed by a suitcase 32, with the shoulder strap 1 which is attached around sheaths 33 of a telescopic handle of the suitcase 32, in its second configuration tightened around these sheaths 33.

THE Figures 7 to 10 show in perspective the steps of tight assembly of the bag 31 around the sheaths 33 of the suitcase 32.

In the illustrated example, the shoulder strap 1 comprises a hooking piece 11 at each of its first end 3 and its second end 4 and which engages with the respective attachment pieces 10.

In the example illustrated, the attachment parts 11 are each formed by a leather tab folded back on itself to form the attachment tabs 12, while the attachment parts 10 are metal inserts which pass through the attachment parts 11 and side walls 34 of a main envelope 35, here made of leather and fabric, of the bag 31, and which are pivotally mounted relative to these side walls 34.

To put the shoulder strap 1 in its second tight configuration around the sheaths 33 of the suitcase 32, the shoulder strap 1 is passed around the sheaths, the user grabs the first loop 13, folds the first section of ribbon 5 on itself and engages the attachment rod 40 in the attachment tab 12, with the long branch 21 of the attachment rod 40 which is inserted into the receiving space of the attachment tab 12.

In the example described, the fixed length L2 of the second section of ribbon 6 is at least equal to a distance, called the center distance, separating the sheaths 33 from the case 32.

Thanks to the shoulder strap 1, it is particularly convenient to mount the bag 31 to which the shoulder strap 1 is attached, on the suitcase 32 and to keep this bag 31 in a tight position. against the sheaths 33 of the suitcase 32 by simply passing the shoulder strap 1 in its so-called tight configuration.

Thus, there is no risk of the bag 31 swinging, balling or falling out of the suitcase 32.

Variations not shown are described below.

The strap of the shoulder strap is made of leather rather than fabric. More commonly, the shoulder strap can be made of leather, or equivalent, or textile.

The first section of ribbon is without a second section and the shoulder strap is without a tightening ring and a second adjustment buckle.

The shoulder strap may have more than two sections of ribbon and possibly one or more other adjustment buckles.

The shoulder strap is configured to be removably mounted by its first end and its second end on the leather goods item, rather than fixed.

The first loop and/or second loop are made of plastic or composite material rather than metal.

The hanging tab is fabric rather than leather.

The second section of ribbon can be much longer than the distance, called the center distance, separating the sheaths of the case, and can be adjustable rather than fixed.

The main shell of the bag is made of leather, or fabric, rather than leather and fabric.

The leather goods item is not a bag but a briefcase or a document holder.

The carrier is not a suitcase, but rather some kind of mobile support, for example a support frame mounted on a bicycle or other mobile device.

It is recalled more generally that the invention is not limited to the examples described and represented, but by the appended claims.

Claims (10)

1. A shoulder strap for a leather article, in particular of the bag, satchel, or briefcase type, having a determined length (L1) and delimited between a first end (3) and a second end (4) opposite the first end, a first section of ribbon (5) extending from the first end, a second section of ribbon (6) extending from the second end, and a first loop (13) having a first closed frame (14) to which are attached, on one side the first section of ribbon, opposite the first end, and on an opposite side the second section of ribbon, opposite the second end, the first section of ribbon being provided with a hooking tab (12) at the first end and the first loop further including a second open frame (15) defining a hook rod (40) configured to engage the hook tab in a configuration called tight configuration of the shoulder strap (1) wherein the latter has a usable length (L3) less than its determined length, with the first section of ribbon which is at least partially folded back on itself.
2. The shoulder strap according to claim 1, where the first section of ribbon (5) has an adjustable length (Li) and the second section of ribbon has a fixed length (L2), so that the determined length of the shoulder strap (1) is adjustable.
3. The shoulder strap according to claim 2, where the first section of ribbon (5) has a second loop (24), called an adjustment loop, a first section (7) extending from the first end (3) to the second adjustment loop, and a second section (8) extending from the second adjustment loop to the first loop (13).
4. The shoulder strap according to claim 3, where the second adjustment loop (24) is formed by a third closed frame (25) provided with a central tightening rod (26) extending in the third closed frame, the second section (8) extends from the second adjustment loop, passes around the first closed frame (14) on one side of the first loop (13), and joins the second adjustment loop where it is attached to the middle tightening rod.
5. The shoulder strap according to one of claims 3 and 4, including a tightening ring (9) disposed around the second section (8) of the first section of ribbon (5).
6. The shoulder strap according to any one of claims 1 to 5, being configured to be fixedly or removably mounted by its first end (3) and its second end (4) on the leather article (31).
7. The shoulder strap according to any one of claims 1 to 6, including at least at its first end (3), an attachment part (10) for its pivoting attachment to the leather article (31) and a hooking part (11) from which the hooking tab (12) projects, which forms a receiving space for the hooking rod (40) .
8. The shoulder strap according to any one of claims 1 to 7, including a ribbon (2) made of leather, or the like, or of fabric.
9. A leather article, in particular of the bag, satchel, or briefcase type, provided with a shoulder strap (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8.
10. An assembly including a support (32), for example a suitcase, and a leather article (1) according to claim 9 and which is mounted on the support with the shoulder strap (1) in a configuration called tight configuration wherein the hooking rod (40) is engaged on the hooking tab (12) and the shoulder strap has a use length (L3) less than its determined length (L1), with the first section of ribbon (5) which is at least partially folded on itself.
