Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass bei eingesetzten Modulen in den Modulrahmen die Zapfen des jeweiligen Steckverbinderausrichtungsmoduls gegenüber der Stirnseite oder der von der Stirnseiten der Module aufgespannten Ebene hervorsteht, so dass beim Zusammenstecken der Buchse zunächst die sich gegenüberliegenden (hervorstehenden) Zapfen jeweils gegenüberliegender Steckverbinderausrichtungsmodule treffen und aufeinanderstoßen. In den Fig. 1 bis Fig. 3 ist eine beispielhafte Ausführungsform eines modularen Steckverbindersystems 2 dargestellt. Das modulare Steckverbindersystem 2 wird aus einem Steckverbinderpaar 2a, 2b gebildet. Claims (8)

  1. Modular connector (2) consisting of a connector pair made up of a female connector comprising at least one socket module (20) with a socket-module frame (21), said socket module having a plug-in grid for plugging the at least one socket module (20) into one of the plug-in positions of the plug-in grid, and also made up of a male connector comprising at least one pin module (30) with a pin-module frame (31) having an identical plug-in grid (R) into which to plug the at least one pin module (30), characterized in that also provided is a connector alignment module (1) for each module frame (21, 31), for fitting at opposite corresponding plug-in positions of the plug-in grid on the respective module frame (21, 31), wherein each connector alignment module (1)
    a) has an essentially rectangular module body (3),
    b) wherein there is also the case that at least one fastening element (5a, 5b) is arranged on the module body (3), in order to secure the connector alignment module (1) on the module frame of the modular connector (2), and
    c) two stubs (4a, 4b) project from the respective module body (3), said stubs on the respective module body projecting from the latter in each case at two diametrically opposite corners of the module body and, specifically, projecting in the plug-in direction of the respective connector alignment module in relation to the respective module frame, wherein, with the modules (1, 20, 30) inserted into the respective module frame (21, 31), the stubs (4a, 4b) of the respective connector alignment module (1) project in relation to the end side of the respectively other modules (20, 30), said end side being formed by the modules (20, 30), and therefore, when the connector pair (2a, 2b) which make up the modular connector (2) are being plugged together, in the first instance the opposite ends of the stubs (4a, 4b) of the opposite connector alignment modules (1) come into contact and ensure guidance for the rest of the operation of plugging the connector pair together.
  2. Modular connector (2) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the connector alignment modules (1) have their fastening elements (5a, 5b) designed such that they can be plugged in in any desired plug-in position within the plug-in grid of the module frame of the modular connector (2).
  3. Modular connector (2) according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the connector alignment module (1) is of hermaphroditic design.
  4. Modular connector (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the stubs (4a, 4b) are identical and have a rectangular cross section.
  5. Modular connector (2) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the stubs (4a, 4b) have introduction slopes (8) at their respective plug-in end (7).
  6. Connector alignment module (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening elements (5a, 5b) are of resilient design.
  7. Connector alignment module (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fastening elements (5a, 5b) each have a latching nose or a latching recess for latching to a module frame.
  8. Modular connector (2) according to one of preceding Claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the introduction slopes are arranged on at least two end edges of the plug-in end (7).
