- Damping device for damping the opening movement of a moveable part of a piece of furniture (12), with a base unit (14) featuring a furniture carcass (13) of a piece of furniture and a mobile unit (15) featuring the part of a piece of furniture (12), movable relative to the base unit (14), wherein the base unit (14) features first damping means (21) and the mobile unit (15) features second damping means (22), which create end position damping when the moveable part of the piece of furniture (12) approaches the open position, wherein the first damping means (21) features first locking means (23) and the second damping (22) means features second locking means (24), which can be dynamically locked together in a detachable way so as to dampen the movement of the moveable part of the piece of furniture (12) when the moveable part of the piece of furniture (12) approaches the open position, wherein the first and second locking means (23, 24) possess a locking piece (48) and a locking unit (35) associated with the locking piece (48), the locking unit featuring a locking slot (42), in which the locking piece (48) can be locked when the moveable part of the piece of furniture (12) approaches the open position, and wherein the locking unit (35) is a component part of the first locking means (23) and the locking piece (48) is a component part of the second locking means (24), and the locking piece (48) can be retracted into the locking slot (42) of the locking unit (35) on approaching the open position, wherein the locking piece (48) is arranged at a running rail (20) and the locking unit (35) is arranged at a carcass rail (18) or at the furniture carcass (13), characterised in that the locking unit (35) features at least one locking element moveably supported at the locking unit (35) between a basic position and a locking position, which, in its locked position, narrows the width of the locking slot (42) such that the locking piece (48) is locked between it and an abutment part (39) also embodied on the locking unit (35), wherein the locking element is embodied as an unwinding locking roller (43a, 43b) on a sloping surface (46a, 46b) rising in the direction of retraction of the locking piece (48), the locking roller running surface protruding somewhat into the locking slot (42), whereby the running surface of the locking piece (48) can be run over, which causes the locking roller (43a, 43b) having been run over to shift upwards on the associated sloping surface into the locked position, and wherein several locking rollers (43a, 43b) are provided in the retraction direction of the locking piece (48), arranged behind each other and able to be run over one after the other.

- Damping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the mobile unit (15) features at least one running rail (20) of a guide item of equipment (16) for guiding the mobile part of the piece of furniture (12) in the furniture carcass (13), and the second locking means (24) are arranged at the running rail (20), wherein, in the case of a moveable part of a piece of furniture (12) embodied as a drawer, the running rail (20) is preferably a drawer rail, wherein the mobile unit (15) especially features at least two running rails, of which at least one running rail (20) is embodied as a mobile guided centre rail (19) between the carcass rail (18) and a further running rail, in particular a drawer rail.
- Damping device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the locking piece (48) is arranged at the running rail (20) and the locking unit (35) is arranged at the carcass rail (18) or at the furniture carcass (13), and wherein the locking piece (48) is embodied in particular as a plate or strip.
- Piece of furniture, with at least one moveable part of the piece of furniture, especially a drawer, characterised by a damping device (11) according to one of claims 1 to 5.
