Definitions
- the present invention is in the field of inkjet printing machines.
- the document US 6,135,654 discloses an inkjet printing machine. An object to be printed is deposited on a belt conveyor in order to be successively presented to a pretreatment device, an inkjet printing device and a drying device.
- US 2006/0154035 also shows a printing machine with a pretreatment device and which includes an object holder dedicated to pretreatment and a second dedicated to printing.
- an inkjet printing device requires very high accuracy in the relative positioning between the surface of the object to be printed and the ink ejection nozzles. This accuracy is of the order of a few microns ( ⁇ m). However, the use of a conveyor can not achieve such accuracy.

- the object 1 traverses the supply line 31, until it comes into contact with the stop 34 located at the other end of the supply line 31.
- the object is then in a reserve position.
- the gripping device 35 is cyclically actuated so as to transfer an object in reserve position to the first waiting position on the first support 11. For this, while the gripping device 35 is in an initial position in which the rod 36 is in line with the object 1 in the reserve position, the rod 36 is lowered vertically, so that the suction cup 37 comes into contact with the surface of the object 1. A depression is then applied in the suction cup 37 so as to secure the object 1 to the rod 36. The rod 36 is then raised vertically, then translated along the axis X to come directly above the first support 11. The rod 36 is then lowered vertically , so as to place the object 1 on the first support 11. At this time, the rebalancing of the pressures in the suction cup 37 releases the object 1 of the gripping device 35. The rod 36 is then raised vertically. The gripping device 35 returns to its initial position empty so that it can take the next object on the feed line 31.
- the first slide 50 is moved to perform the next cycle.

- the Z and X displacement means are controlled for, during a movement of the first object-holder 50, to bring the object grasped from the first waiting position onto the first support 11 towards the pre-treatment position. (represented on the figure 3 ).
- This displacement is made by composing a translation along the Z axis of a distance ⁇ Z and a translation along the X axis of a distance + ⁇ X1.
- the translation in Z is obtained by a first displacement of the beam 92 resulting from the actuation of the means of displacement Z common to the slides 50 and 70.
- the translation in X is caused by the actuation of the means 95 for X displacement of the first object-holder 50.
- the first object holder 50 holds the object 1 in the pretreatment position until the pretreatment device 41 performs the required pretreatment.
- the pivoting means 55 of the first object holder 50 is used to rotate the object 1 relative to the pretreatment device 41, so that different generatrices of the object pass in front of the preprocessing device. This movement, combined with the translation movement in Y of the pretreatment device 41, makes it possible to pretreat an extended portion of the surface of the object.
- the Z and X displacement means are controlled for, during a movement of the first object-holder 50, to move the object from the pretreatment position to the second position of waiting on the second support 12 (position represented on the figure 5 ).
- This displacement is carried out by composing a translation along the Z axis of a distance - ⁇ Z and a translation along the X axis of a distance + ⁇ X2.
- the translation in Z is obtained by a second displacement of the beam 92 resulting from the actuation of the means of displacement Z in common to the object carriers 50 and 70.
- the translation X results from the actuation of the means 95 of displacement in X of the first object holder 50.
- the first object holder 50 is then actuated to release the pretreated object on the second support 12. For this, the tip 52 is moved away from the base 51.
- the X-axis moving means 95 of the object-holder 50 are driven to return the first object-holder 50 to its starting-cycle position (represented in FIG. figure 2 ). This displacement is effected by a translation along the X axis of a distance - ( ⁇ X1 + ⁇ X2).
- the second slide 70 is moved to perform the next cycle.
- the second object-holder 70 In its start-of-cycle position, the second object-holder 70 is in alignment with the second support 12 ( figure 2 ). It is pressed to enter the object 1 placed there. For this, the tip 72 is moved to the base 71 to tighten the object. The object is then held along a support axis oriented along the Y axis.
- the Z and X displacement means are controlled for, during a movement of the second object holder 70, to bring the object grasped from its second waiting position onto the second support 12, towards the first position printing (as illustrated on the figure 3 ).
- This displacement is made by composing a translation along the Z axis of a distance + ⁇ Z and a translation along the X axis of a distance + ⁇ X3.
- the Z translation is obtained by the first displacement of the beam 92 caused by actuating the Z-movement means 91 common to the two object-holders 50 and 70.
- the X-translation is caused by the actuation of the X-movement means 98 of the second object-holder 70.
- the second object holder 70 holds the object in the first printing position until the first unit prints the first elementary pattern.
- the means 98 for moving X of the second object-holder 70 is driven to translate the second object-holder 70 by an amount corresponding to the pitch p between the first and second units 62.
- the second unit is activated to print a second basic pattern. Gradually, the object passes successively in front of each unit 62.
- the second object-holder 70 undergoes an overall translation along the axis X by a distance corresponding to the pitch p separating two successive units 62 multiplied by the number of intervals between the units 62 of the printing device.
- the pivoting means 75 of the second object carrier 70 is used to rotate the Y-axis object 1 relative to the printing device 61, so that different generators of the object pass in front of the printing device 61.
- This rotational movement combined with that of translation of the printing device 61 along the Y axis, makes it possible to print a pattern on an extended portion of the printing surface. the object. This is particularly advantageous when the portion of the surface of the object to receive a pattern has a length along the important Y axis, greater than the length along the Y axis that can print a printing unit during a single passage.
- the means 98 for moving X of the second object holder 70 is controlled to move the object 1 of the sixth printing position to the drying position (shown in FIG. figure 4 ). During this movement, the object-holder 70 undergoes a translation of + ⁇ X5.
- the second object-holder 70 is actuated to deposit the object on the inclined face 81.
- the point 72 is moved away from the base 71.
- the Z and X displacement means are controlled for, during a movement of the second object-holder 70, to return it to its starting position.
- This displacement is carried out by composing a translation along the Z axis of a distance - ⁇ Z and a translation along the X axis of a distance - ( ⁇ X3 + ⁇ X4 + ⁇ X5).
- the Z translation is obtained by the second displacement of the beam 92 caused by the actuation of the common Z displacement means 91 to
- the X translation is generated by the actuation of the means X of displacement X of the second object holder 70.
- the object 1 placed on the inclined plate 81 slides or rolls along the latter towards the discharge line 82.

- the X-axis moving means of the slides are actuated independently of one another to move the first object-holder 50 of + ⁇ X1 and the second object-holder of + ⁇ X3.
- the second object is released from the second object holder 70 so as to be transferred to the discharge means 80.
- the slides 50 and 70 are moved simultaneously so as to bring the pretreated object, held by the first object holder 50, into the second waiting position, and simultaneously start the return movement of the second object holder. in its starting position of cycle. This situation is represented on the figure 5 .
- the X displacement means of the first object holder 50 is actuated, and the first object carrier 50 is moved by + ⁇ X2.
- the first object-holder 50 is actuated to release the pre-processed object that it holds so as to deposit it on the second support 12.
- the means 95 and 98 for moving X of the slides are actuated independently of one another.
- the first object-holder 50 is moved from - ( ⁇ X1 + ⁇ X2).
- the second object-holder 50 is moved from - ( ⁇ X3 + ⁇ X4 + ⁇ X5).
