Claims (15)

  1. Multi-housing plug connector (1) for installation in a housing opening (2) of a housing (3, 3a) comprising
    - a plug housing (4) for receiving at least one electrical contact element (5) which has a plug-side end (6) that is configured for a plug-in connection of the contact element to a complementary plug connector,
    - an adapter housing (7) that is configured to positively connect to the plug housing (4), wherein
    - at least one snap-in connection means (8) that is intended for the snap-in connection of the adapter housing (7) to the plug housing (4) is provided, characterized in that
    - the adapter housing (7) comprises a main body (9) with a housing attachment element (10) molded thereon, wherein the main body (9) of the adapter housing (7) is implemented in a pot-like shape, the open end of which is configured to receive the complementary plug connector and
    - the housing attachment element (10) is implemented with at least one receiving groove (11) that extends partially in circumferential direction for the at least partially surface-fit receiving of the edge region of the housing opening (2).
  2. Plug connector (1) in accordance with claim 1,
    characterized in that
    - the at least one snap-in connection means (8) that effect a positive connection in axial direction of the plug connector (1) is implemented with a first measure of clearance (d), and
    - the receiving groove (11) that effects the surface-fit connection between the housing attachment element (10) and the housing opening (2) is implemented with a second measure of clearance (D) that at most corresponds to the first measure of clearance (d), preferably being smaller than the first measure of clearance (d).
  3. Plug connector (1) in accordance with claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    - the housing attachment element (10) as a snap-in connection means (8) comprises at least one latching hook (8a) formed on the main body (9) and extending in an axial direction, and
    - the plug housing (4) as a snap-in connection means (8) comprises a latching groove (8b) that is engaged behind by the latching hook (8a).
  4. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that,
    - the plug housing (4) has a connecting flange (12) at the plugging end (6), and
    - the housing attachment element (10) is implemented to concentrically enclose the connecting flange (12) when snapped-in to the plug housing (4).
  5. Plug connector (1) in accordance with claim 4,
    characterized in that
    the latching groove (8b) as a snap-in connection means is arranged in the region of the connecting flange (12).
  6. Plug connector (1) in accordance with claim 4 or 5
    characterized in that
    the housing attachment element (10) is implemented with an abutment ring (13) at the plug housing end that concentrically surrounds the connecting flange (12) that rests against the plug housing (4) when snapped-in to the plug housing (4).
  7. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of the preceding claims
    characterized in that
    the housing attachment element (10) is implemented with flange elements (14) arranged diametrically opposite, each of which comprises a receiving groove (11).
  8. Plug connector (1) in accordance with claim 7,
    characterized in that
    the flange elements (14), together with diametrically opposite arranged latching hooks (8a), concentrically enclose the connecting flange (12) of the plug housing (4).
  9. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of claims 3 to 7,
    characterized in that
    the housing attachment element (10) with latching hooks (8a) and the flange elements (14) are implemented such that the latching hooks (8a) extend, relative to the main body (9), above the level of the receiving grooves (11).
  10. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of claims 7 to 9,
    characterized in that
    the abutment ring (13) is molded onto one side of the flange elements (14).
  11. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of claims 7 to 10,
    characterized in that
    the flange elements (14) are implemented in a principally cuboid shape.
  12. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the receiving groove (11) is implemented in a principally rectangular shape, and wherein the width of its groove principally corresponds to the thickness of the housing (3, 3a) walls.
  13. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the plug housing (4) has a contacting body (15) for contacting the at least one contact element (5) and that ends in the main body (9).
  14. Plug connector (1) in accordance with claim 13,
    characterized in that
    the contacting body (15) is implemented extending into the pot-shaped main body (9).
  15. Plug connector (1) in accordance with any of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the plug connector is implemented as a circuit board plug connector (1) for electric connection to and mechanical securing on a circuit board (16) with a contacting surface (17), wherein the at least one contact element (5) leads to the contacting surface (17) in order to connect to the circuit board (16).
