Definitions
- the invention relates to a cleaning roller for floor cleaning machine having a cylindrical roller body, the bearing elements for rotatably supporting the cleaning roller on the floor cleaning machine and its lateral surface is surrounded by a cleaning pad, which is rotatably connected to the roller body.
- Such cleaning rollers are used in scrubbing, scouring and polishing machines in particular for cleaning a floor surface. They are for example from the DE 199 45 281 A1 known. Therein, a cleaning roller in the form of a polishing roller is proposed, wherein the cleaning pad forms a polishing material and is drawn up in the form of a hose onto the roller body. So that the rotational movement of the roller body is transmitted as possible without slippage on the cleaning pad, the tube is made of an elastically expandable and fixed due to restoring forces on the roller body material.
- the roller body can be widened in the radial direction.
- the roller body consists of several, relatively movable components to which the cleaning pad is mounted in the form of a tubular fabric.
- the tubular design of the cleaning pad allows the user to replace the cleaning pad.

- the cleaning pad surrounds the roller body helically. This eliminates an extending in the axial direction of the cleaning roller seam of the cleaning pad. Such a seam is subject to a high load when using the cleaning roller, as frictional forces act perpendicular to the seam. Such frictional forces can be reduced by the helical arrangement of the cleaning pad.
- the helical arrangement also has the advantage that the edges between adjacent tracks of the cleaning pad have an axial directional component. This ensures that during the rotation of the cleaning roller about its longitudinal axis over its entire length, a uniform cleaning result can be achieved.
- the cleaning pad is glued to the roll body.
- This allows a surface definition of the cleaning pad on the roller body.
- the cleaning pad is point or line connected to the roller body.

Object of the present invention is to develop a cleaning roller of the type mentioned in such a way that it has a structurally simpler structure and can be manufactured with lower manufacturing costs.
This object is achieved in a cleaning roller of the generic type according to the invention that the cleaning pad is wound on the roll body strip-shaped and connected to the roller body inextricably.
In the cleaning roller according to the invention, the roller body and the cleaning pad form a common unit that can be easily replaced by the user. The cleaning pad can be wound as an endless meter goods on the roll body and connected to this inseparable. This reduces the manufacturing cost of the cleaning roller and simplifies the structural design. The lower manufacturing costs make it possible to design the entire cleaning roller as an accessory of the floor cleaning machine, which can be replaced by the user if necessary, to use a cleaning roller, the cleaning pad is optimally adapted to a given cleaning task.
Due to the permanent connection of the cleaning pad with the roller body detachable connecting elements can be omitted. This not only reduces the manufacturing cost and simplifies the assembly, but thereby the life of the cleaning roller can be increased because the number of moving parts can be reduced.
It is advantageous if the cleaning pad surrounds the roller body helically. The helical arrangement also has the advantage that the edges between adjacent tracks of the cleaning pad have an axial directional component. This ensures that during the rotation of the cleaning roller about its longitudinal axis over its entire length, a uniform cleaning result can be achieved.
Preferably, the cleaning pad is glued to the roll body. This allows a surface definition of the cleaning pad on the roller body. Alternatively it could be provided that the cleaning pad is point or line connected to the roller body. However, a flat fixing has the advantage that reliably a rotationally fixed connection between the cleaning pad and the roller body can be ensured without the cleaning pad is subject to high punctiform or linear loads that could cause damage to the cleaning pad.
As a cleaning pad, for example, a fabric, knitted fabric or fiber fabric can be used. It is particularly advantageous, however, if the cleaning pad forms a web. As a result, a particularly good cleaning result can be achieved.
Preferably, the cleaning pad is made of a microfiber material. Such materials are particularly suitable for cleaning hard surfaces, in particular for cleaning tiled surfaces.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the cleaning roller according to the invention, the roller body comprises a roller core, which is surrounded by a roller sleeve, wherein the roller core has the bearing elements and the roller sleeve forms the lateral surface of the roller body. Such a configuration has the advantage that for different floor cleaning machines cleaning rollers can be manufactured with identical roller core, which is then surrounded by a matched to the geometry of the respective floor cleaning machine roller sleeve. The roller core comprises the bearing elements, with the aid of which the cleaning roller can be rotatably mounted on the floor cleaning machine. The roller sleeve forms the lateral surface of the roller body, on which the cleaning pad is wound up in ribbon form.
The roll core is preferably made of a plastic material, for example polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC) or a polyamide (PA) or acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) material.
It is advantageous if the roller sleeve is made of a plastic material. Preferably, the roller sleeve is made of an ABS material or of a PA material.
A particularly cost-effective production of the cleaning roller according to the invention is characterized in that the roller core is encapsulated by the roller sleeve. For example, it may be provided that the roll core is made of a polypropylene material which is encapsulated by a polyamide material which forms the roller sleeve.
The roller sleeve may be made of an elastically deformable material, for example in the form of a foam sheath. This is for some cleaning applications of particular advantage, because the risk of damage to the floor to be cleaned surface is kept very low.
As low, it has been proven when the roller sleeve forms a bonding agent between the roller core and the cleaning pad. In particular, when using a roller core of a polypropylene material and a cleaning pad in the form of a microfiber nonwoven, it is advantageous if the roller sleeve consists of a material, on the one hand a non-detachable connection with the polypropylene material of the roll core and on the other hand using an adhesive and a non-detachable connection with the Cleaning surface allows. For this purpose, the roller sleeve can be made for example of a PA material.

In the drawing, a
The
For supporting the cleaning
The
The
The user can replace the
