Abstract

Claims (15)

  1. Electrical plug connectors (10) having two intermateable connector parts (12, 14) coupled, in a mounted state of the plug connector (10) with each other by a slider (16) guided in a first one of the two connector parts, in particular perpendicular to the plug direction, by engaging the second connector part (14) via at least one associated cam (18) with an opening (20) provided in the slider (16) which is formed such that the two connector parts (12, 14) are completely pulled together during transfer of the slider (16) into an end position,
    characterized in that
    the cam (18) is resiliently mounted at a base body (14') of the second connector part (14) and the slider (16) comprises a tapered inlet (24) for the cam (18) through which the cam (18), during assembly of the plug connector (10), is initially deflected against the resilient force by connecting the two connector parts (12, 14), the slider (16) having a defined position, before the cam is engaged in the opening (20) of the slider by the resilient force.
  2. Plug connector according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the housing of the first connector part (12) is provided with a gripping strip (26) for a robot hand.
  3. Plug connector according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    the housing of the second connector part (14) is provided with a circumferential tapered inlet (28) for automatic centering of the first connector part (12) and an insert (30) associated thereto, respectively, during assembly.

    the defined position of the slider (16) corresponds to its final position.
  5. Plug connector according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the slider (16) is inserted into the first connector part (12) in its defined position or end position, respectively.
  6. Plug connector according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the slider (16) can be locked in its defined position or end position, respectively, by locking means provided between the slider (16) and the first connector part (12).
  7. Plug connector according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    the slider (16) is U-shaped and its two legs (16') are each provided with an opening into which a cam (18) associated with the second connector part (14) can be inserted.
  8. Plug connector according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    a respective opening (20) has an at least substantially straight course.
  9. Plug connector according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that
    after assembly, the cam (18) engages in the respective area of the opening (20) of the slider (16) being in its defined position or end position, respectively, and can be released out of said engagement with an outward movement of the slider (16) from the defined position.

    one of the two connector parts (12, 14) includes a connector housing and the other connector part includes a socket housing.

    the connector housing is adapted for receiving a plurality of plug connector modules and the socket housing is adapted for receiving a corresponding number of sockets.
  13. Plug connector according to claim 11 or 12,
    characterized in that
    the housing of the first connector part (12) is formed as a socket housing and the housing of the second connector part (14) is formed as a connector housing.
  14. Plug connector according to claim 13,
    characterized in that
    the circumferential tapered inlet (28) of the housing formed as connector housing of the second connector part (14) is provided for automatic centering of the socket insert (30) associated with the first connector part (12).
  15. Method for mounting a plug connector (10) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the two connector parts (12, 14) of the plug connector (10) are connected by means of a robot, the slider (16) being in its defined position.
