- Printing machine (2) comprising:- a sub-frame (4, 5, 7);- a turret (6) carried by the sub-frame (4, 5, 7), said turret (6) being driven in rotation relative to the sub-frame (4, 5, 7) about an axis of rotation A-A, in order to move an object (8) to be printed between at least a printing (12), introduction (10) and/or removal (14, 16) station for the object to be printed;- a conveyor (18, 20) carried by the sub-frame (4, 5, 7), the conveyor (18, 20) being arranged to introduce or remove, at the introduction (10) and/or removal (14, 16) station, the object (8) to be printed;- a transfer device (22) carried by the turret (6), said transfer device (22) comprising a conveying web portion (40) capable of moving the object (8) to be printed between the conveyor (18, 20) and the turret (6);- a printing device (13) arranged to print the object (8) to be printed, said printing device (13) being disposed at the printing station (12);characterised in that the machine (2) comprises drive means (28, 114, 116) for the conveying web portion (40) of the transfer device, said drive means (28, 114, 116) being carried by the sub-frame (4, 5, 7), each transfer device (22) comprising a transmission element (72) which is disengagable from the drive means (28, 114, 116).
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 1, wherein the transfer device (22) includes:- a supporting bracket (44);- two supporting arms (46) for the conveying web portion (40) which are fixed to the supporting bracket (44), said supporting arms (46) being parallel; and- two drive arms (62) for moving the conveying web portion (40), the drive arms (62) being arranged to move relative to the supporting bracket (44); and- retention means (52, 53) capable of keeping the conveying web portion (40) tensioned between the supporting arms (46) and the drive arms (62), the conveying web portion (40) being in contact with an outer face of each supporting arm (46) and with an inner face of each drive arm (62).
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 2, wherein the conveyor (18, 20) includes at least one web (25) carrying the object (8) to be printed, the machine (2) comprising a control unit (26) for the conveyor (18, 20) and drive means (28, 14, 18), the control unit (26) being capable of controlling the speed and acceleration of the drive arms (62) according to the speed and acceleration of the carrying web (25).
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 3, wherein the control unit (26) is arranged to set a speed of movement of the drive arms (62) which is equal to half the speed of movement of the carrying web (25).
- Printing machine (2) according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the transfer device (22) comprises a device for renewing the conveying web portion (40), comprising:- a first reel (48) fixed to the supporting bracket (44), a web portion intended for transporting the objects (8) to be printed being wound around the first reel (48);- a second reel (50) fixed to the supporting bracket (44), a web portion that has transported the objects (8) to be printed being wound around the second reel (50); the web portion wound onto the first reel (48), the conveying web portion (40) and the web portion wound onto the second reel (50) forming a continuous web of paper; and whereinthe retention means (52, 53) are arranged to be unlocked in order to allow rotation of the first reel (48) at least in an unwinding direction and rotation of the second reel (50) at least in a winding-on direction, in order to renew the conveying web portion (40).
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 5, the retention means (52, 53) comprising an electromagnetic brake (52) equipping the first reel (48) and a free wheel (53) equipping the second reel (50).
- Printing machine (2) according to any one of claims 2 to 6, wherein the transmission element (72) is connected to the drive arms (62), and wherein the drive means (28, 114, 116) comprise:- a linkage element (32) connectible to the transmission element (72);- first movement means (36) arranged to move the linkage element (32) in a first direction (Z) over a first path in order to connect the linkage element (32) to the transmission element (72) and to disconnect it; and- second movement means (38, 116) arranged to drive the movement of the linkage element (32) in a second direction (Y), different from the first direction (Z), in order to move the drive arms (62) back and forth when the linkage element (32) is connected to the transmission element (72).
- Printing machine (2) according to claims 4 and 7 taken in combination, wherein the transmission element (72) comprises:- a supporting plate (74) arranged to move relative to the supporting bracket (44) in the second direction (Y); and- at least one pillar (90, 92) carried by the supporting plate (74), the or each pillar (90, 92) being arranged to move relative to the supporting bracket (44) in the first (Z) and second (Y) directions.
- Printing machine (2) according to any one of claims 7 and 8, wherein the transfer device (22) comprises locking means (96, 102, 106) capable of locking the drive arms (62) in terms of movement in the second direction (Y), when the drive arms (62) are in at least one end-of-travel position of the back and forth movement.
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 8 and 9 taken in combination, wherein the locking means comprise:- a locking roller (96) fixed to the or each pillar (90, 92);- at least one notch (102) formed in the supporting bracket (44) and arranged to receive the locking roller (96); and- resilient means (106) capable of introducing the locking roller (96) into the or each notch (102), said resilient means (106) being fixed to the pillar (90, 92) and to the supporting plate (74).
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 10, wherein the first movement means (36) are arranged to move the linkage element (32) along a second path at the start and/or end of the travel of the back and forth movement of the drive arms (62) in order to cause the locking roller (96) to come out of the or each notch (102).
- Printing machine (2) according to any one of claims 5 to 11, wherein the machine comprises a device (107) for driving rotation of the second reel (50) in a winding-on direction, the drive device (107) being fixed to the sub-frame (4, 5, 7).
- Printing machine (2) according to claim 12, wherein the transfer device (22) comprises:- a detector of the number of back and forth movements of the drive arms (62); and- a control unit (26) capable of controlling the drive device (107) for the second reel (50) and unlocking of the retention means (52, 53) when the number detected exceeds a defined threshold.
