Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cross connector for drywall for connecting crosswise superimposed profiles, comprising two legs with locking means and a leg connecting the support portion, wherein the legs protrude at a transition region from the support portion. The invention further relates to an arrangement comprising C-profiles and a cross connector.
Fasteners and arrangements of the type mentioned are already known from the prior art. Such fasteners are used in drywall to connect profiles of different types together. Frequently, profiles made of sheet metal are used in dry construction. From DIN 18 182 (Part 1) in the January 1987 version, e.g. various profile types known which can be used in drywall.
During assembly of the profiles, the profiles are placed crosswise one above the other and connected to a connecting element called a cross connector. In this way drywall constructions are built, which have a plurality of profile sections and form a structure.
However, the profiles and fasteners used are not optimally matched, so that the profiles are often only loosely together. This is due to the fact that the leg portions of the profiles are not always of identical length. If the legs of the connecting element are slightly longer than the leg portions of an associated profile, gaps and gaps between the support portion of the connecting element and the bottom portion of a profile or the leg portions of a profile can form. This leads to a loose and relatively unstable installation of the profiles. The result is structures made of profiles that tend to rattle even at low vibrations and are not stable in the desired degree.

The invention is therefore based on the object, a connecting element of the type mentioned in such a way and further, that a more stable connection of the profiles is achieved.
According to the invention the above object is achieved with the features of
Thereafter, a cross connector of the type mentioned is characterized in that the support portion is assigned at least in the transition region, a compressible compensation means.
In accordance with the invention, it has first been recognized that the generic type fasteners have significant disadvantages in drywall construction. Furthermore, it has been recognized that this is related to inevitably occurring manufacturing tolerances. Finally, it has been recognized that by providing a compensating means in a surprisingly simple manner, the problems of the prior art can be overcome. By means of the compensating means, it is possible to effectively compensate for gaps and gaps arising due to manufacturing tolerances between profile and connecting element. By using compensating means it is possible to put profiles together almost without play and to increase the stability of a profile structure as a whole. In that regard, it is possible to easily connect different types of profiles using a balancing agent suitable for use. In concrete terms, it has also been recognized that compensating means, which are arranged in the transition region, can be applied directly to supporting wheels or leg sections of profiles. The fitter therefore does not have to make sure that one profile is applied to another in a certain orientation. Consequently, the stated object is achieved.
The compensating means is compressible and can be configured elastically deformable. A compressible compensating means allows the compensation of different gap and gap sizes between a connecting element and the profile. The elastic deformability ensures that a Compensating movements occurring compensator, without the compensation means must be replaced. Furthermore, compressible and deformable compensating means can contribute to structure-borne noise decoupling.

At least one compensating means could be made of a textile material. Against this background, it is conceivable that the textile material is configured as felt or nonwoven fabric. These materials are particularly inexpensive and stable. Furthermore, textile materials show a high fire protection capability, namely, if they are made of materials that meet the appropriate fire protection classes.
At least one compensating means could be designed to be self-adhesive. This specific embodiment allows the attachment of a compensating agent directly on site. Against this background, it is conceivable that the connecting element is designed as a sheet, which has two kinks. At the kinks (or bending points) protrude the legs from where there is between the kinks of the support section. This specific embodiment allows a cost-effective production of the connecting element. Against this background, the connecting element could be further provided with recesses and recesses through which fastening means such as screws can be passed. This specific embodiment allows a particularly firm investment of a cross connector on a profile.
