Abstract

The floor drain has a drain cup with a top opening for ground water, and an outlet connected to a disposal line (19). An inflow housing (12) is arranged above the opening of the drain cup and is open on one side. The housing is connected to a wall-drain opening (13) in a vertical wall, such that drain cup is installed in the vertical wall, and the housing collects the ground water behind the wall-drain opening and directs the ground water into the cup. The housing has a wall with a lateral opening through which the ground water flows into the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for installation of a sanitary device.

Description

The invention relates to a floor drain according to the preamble of claim 1. Floor drains of this type have long been known in buildings. With these, for example, in a shower or a kitchen floor water is discharged into a running in the building floor disposal line. Before the disposal line, the groundwater enters a drain pot in which an odor trap is arranged.

A floor drain for a shower is for example in the EP-A-1 775 395 disclosed by the applicant. This has a drain pot, which is mounted under an opening of a shower tray and having an inlet opening a lid which is removable for cleaning the drain pot.

A further floor drain of the type mentioned in the prior art from the GB-A-2 315 211 known. Again, a shower tray is provided. The drain opening is arranged in an edge of the shower tray and connected via an angled pipe with an odor trap, which is located next to the shower area. To clean the odor trap this has a removable lid.

There are increasingly desired showers, which do not have a shower tray. These are usually the odor trap embedded in an opening of the soil, so that the horizontally extending drainage opening is flush with the bottom top. Such showers have the advantage that they are easier to use for the disabled and the weak and old people.

The invention has for its object to provide a floor drain of the type mentioned, which is particularly suitable for showers without shower tray but also for other sanitary facilities.

The problem is solved according to claim 1. The invention allows the removal of soil water through an opening of a vertical wall, for example in a shower or a kitchen.

The inventive floor drain can be completely installed in a wall, for example in a pretext or building wall. The shower area can thus be designed independently of the procedure. Since the shower does not need a drain cover and no shower tray, this can be made especially handicapped accessible. The drainage device is also advantageous in aesthetic or in architectural terms, since the drain opening can be made very inconspicuous. It can be designed, for example, as a comparatively narrow slot at the lower end of a wall. The water can then drain very effectively from the bottom in this slot or in this drain hole. Preferably, in this case, the bottom is inclined towards the discharge opening. However, the sequence according to the invention is also suitable, for example, for the drainage of soil water in a kitchen or in another room in which groundwater has to be removed.

According to a development of the invention, an inlet housing is provided with a cover which is removable for cleaning or revision. The cover is for example a plate, which is arranged above the drain opening. It can be latched, for example. It can be made, for example, from a metal or other material, such as stone or wood. Preferably, this is also substantially flush with a front side of the vertical wall. After removing the cover, the drain pan is good for revision or cleaning accessible. For example, a dip cup or a dip tube of the drain pot could be removed and the housing cleaned. After a revision or cleaning only the cover must be applied, for example, be snapped.

According to a development of the invention, the inlet housing forms a unit with the drain pot. This allows a particularly simple installation. For example, this unit can be installed as a mounting unit in a pretext. A particularly simple, fast and safe installation results when the unit with the pretext forms a preassembled unit.

According to a development of the invention it is provided that the inlet housing is arranged directly above the drain pot. This allows a particularly space-saving arrangement. This is then particularly suitable for a shower, which is arranged in a corner of a room. A particularly simple and space-saving design results when, according to a development of the invention, the inlet housing is box-shaped and has a front opening which forms said vertical outlet opening. The box-shaped inlet housing is particularly suitable for installation in a pretext.

According to a development of the invention, the wall drain opening is a horizontally and vertically extending slot. The slot is in particular arranged flush in a wall and can be particularly inconspicuous and yet designed so that the shower water can drain quickly. The floor drain is preferably installed or installable in a vertical wall. The wall can be a building wall or even an excuse. In the case of a building wall, the device is inserted into a corresponding opening of the building wall. The pretext can be any pretext in itself and be made for example as a frame of vertical and horizontal profiles. It may also be provided for a shower having at least one fitting for operating a shower head.

The invention also relates to a sanitary device with a floor drain according to the invention. The floor drain is in this device in an opening of the vertical Wall installed. Preferably, here the wall drain opening is substantially flush with a front side of this vertical wall.

The device is in a further development of a shower, which has a shower area, which is formed by a floor structure with a top. The inlet housing is located substantially above the level of this top and the drain pot below this level. Preferably, the drain pot is placed on a bare floor and has a height that corresponds substantially to the height of the floor structure. This allows in particular the laying of the disposal line in the floor structure. The shower water then passes from the top of the shower stall substantially horizontally through the drain opening to the trap, then flows vertically down into the odor trap and then from this again substantially horizontally in the disposal line.

The sanitary device has, according to a development of the invention on a pretext that forms a prefabricated mounting unit with the floor drain. During assembly of the pretext, the floor drain is therefore also mounted at the same time.

The invention also relates to a method for mounting a sanitary device. In this method, in a first step, the drain pot is arranged on a raw floor and connected to a disposal line. On the unfinished floor, a floor structure is then created, which has a top that is substantially flush with the top of the odor trap.

The assembly can be carried out particularly quickly and safely if an excuse is used in which the floor drain is integrated. The front wall can then be mounted together with the floor drain on a bare floor and then the floor structure can be built.

The in the Figures 1 and 2 shown shower 1 is arranged in a building room, which has a building floor with a bare floor 2 and a floor structure 3 and a building wall 4. The floor structure 3 may be a per se custom finished floor and has an upper side 24, which is preferably inclined to a wall drain opening 13. In the bottom structure 3, a disposal line 19 which is connected to an odor trap 14 of a drain pot 16 and through which shower water can be led away.

Above the floor structure 3 a pretext 8 is arranged, which is placed on the unfinished floor 2 and connected to the building wall 4. At the bottom of the pretext 8 are according to FIG. 4 at least two spaced-apart extendable feet 20 are arranged. With these, the pretext 8 is placed on the unfinished floor 2 and fixed on this. On a back of the pretext 8 supply lines 7 are arranged, to which a shower fitting 6 or other fittings are connected and the down and according to FIG. 2 guided in the bottom structure 3 are connected to a supply network, not shown here. The fitting 6 is installed in a box 21, the in an opening 25 of the pretext 8 is inserted. The pretext 8 is in particular a shower wall, which can be placed parallel to a building wall 4 or in a corner of a room, as the FIGS. 5 to 7 demonstrate.

The pretext 8 has in a lower region an opening 10 into which an inlet housing 12 is inserted. Under the inlet housing 12 is according to FIG. 1 the drain pan 16 is arranged, in which an odor trap 14 is located and which forms with the inlet housing 12 a bottom drain 9 for the shower water. The inlet housing 12 is formed, for example, box-shaped and has a front vertically extending opening 26 which forms a vertically extending wall drain opening 13 and which is at least partially covered by a cover 11. The cover 11 is surrounded by a frame 17 which is flush with a front side 23 of the pretext 8. The frame 17 may be formed as an edge or flange of the inlet housing 12. The cover plate 11 may be slightly protruding with respect to this front side 23, as the FIG. 7 shows. The inlet housing 12 collects the wegzuführende water and passes it to the drain pan 16, as in FIG. 7 indicated by arrows 34.

The cover plate 11 can be made of any material, such as plastic, metal, stone or wood. It can be detachably mounted, for example, snapped on or screwed. Behind the cover 11 is located in the housing 12, an interior 18 which is located above the odor trap 14 and with the cover removed 11 allows a revision and cleaning of the odor trap 14.

The drain pot 16 has an in FIG. 7 shown upper inlet opening 35 into which a water-permeable lid 27 is inserted. When the cover 11 is removed, the cover 27 can be removed and a dip tube, not shown here, but per se conventional dip tube can be removed for cleaning. After a revision and cleaning the cover 11 is placed again, for example, snapped or screwed.

The inlet housing 12 is sealed to the drain pot 16. The connection includes, for example, a boot seal 29 or other suitable seal which is arranged between the drain housing 12 and the drain pan 16 and which ensures that shower water or other groundwater flowing into the inlet housing 12, this always leaves through the odor trap 14. The inlet housing 12 and the drain pot 16 preferably form a unit. The inlet housing 12 may be formed on the drain pot 16 or detachably connected thereto, for example screwed or locked.

The junction between the inlet housing 12 and the drain pot 16 is located substantially in a plane which is formed by the top 24 of the bottom structure 3. The inlet housing 12 is thus above this level and the drain pan 16 below this level. The inlet opening 13 extends from this level vertically upwards and also horizontally, as the FIG. 2 shows. It is designed as a slot and in the view according to FIG. 2 arranged approximately centrally in the pretext 8. Laterally, the drain opening 13 is bounded by the frame 17 and up through the cover 11. How the particular FIG. 7 shows, the frame 17 seals the opening 10 of the pretext 8, so that the wegzuführende groundwater flows exclusively according to the arrows 34 in the inlet housing 12. An example U-shaped and vertically extending wall 36 of the inlet housing 12 collects the soil water and passes it to the drain pot.

The floor drain 9 preferably forms with the pretext 8 a mounting unit. In principle, however, the floor drain 9 can also be mounted without a pretext 8. It can be used, for example, in an opening, not shown here, of the building wall 4. However, the assembly is greatly simplified if the pretext 8 forms a preassembled unit with the floor drain 9. The floor drain 9 is preferably preassembled and can be mounted at the installation site with the pretext 8 as a unit.

The following is an example using the FIGS. 3 to 7 the installation of the shower 1 explained. The shower 1 can be done after the completion of the bare floor 2 and the building wall 4. In a first assembly step, the pretext 8 is turned off with the preassembled floor drain 9 with the feet 20 at a suitable distance from the building wall 4 on the unfinished floor 2, and adjusted to finished floor height, for example with attached mounting screws, not shown here. With fastening means, not shown here, the pretext 8 is then attached to the building wall 4. Between the pretext 8 and the building wall 4 so that a space 30 is formed, in which the floor drain 9 projects and in which the water pipes 7 extend. The upper ends of these water pipes 7 protrude into the box 21, which projects beyond the front wall 8 as the front Figures 3 and 5 demonstrate. The space 30 is at the top of a ceiling wall 22 (FIG. Fig. 6 ) completed. If the shower 1 is provided for a corner of a room, then this ceiling wall 22 is according to FIG. 6 designed accordingly triangular. In addition, the pretext has 8 according FIG. 5 laterally corresponding inclined surfaces 28 which can be applied to the building wall 4.

After mounting the pretext 8, the disposal line 19 is connected to a drain pipe 15 of the drain pot 16, which is of course somewhat inclined to the horizontal. Subsequently, the bottom structure 3 is created. The upper side 24 is in this case formed so that it is slightly inclined to the wall drain opening 13 and forms the lower end of the wall drain opening 13. The floor structure 3 can be made arbitrarily per se. It can be cast, for example, from a suitable casting compound. But it can also be made of stone or wood, for example.

After the completion of the floor structure 3, the box 21 is cut to length so that it is flush with the front side 23 of the front wall 8 at the front. Now the fitting 6 is inserted into the box 21 and connected to the lines 7. On the front of the pretext 8, finally, a panel or tiles are applied, to which the cover 11 may be flush. About the pretext 8 can finally according to the Figures 1 and 2 a shower head 5 are mounted. This is shown here only schematically and of course connected to the lines 7.
