Description

The invention relates to a spray can arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such spray can arrangements serve to atomize a medium, for example a perfume, a varnish or another liquid. The medium to be sprayed is introduced by means of a propellant or a pump mechanism into a nozzle channel of the spray can arrangement. Due to the special geometry of the nozzle channel, the medium is first compressed, passes through a small passage opening and escapes on the other side of the nozzle channel in the form of small droplets.

The geometry of the nozzle channel is crucial for the spray properties of the spray can arrangement. Depending on the application, very different characteristics with respect to the droplets and their distribution in the spray jet may be desired, for example a flat spray fan in which the droplets are concentrated in the fan center or distributed in any other predetermined manner over the extent of the spray fan.

Dokument DE2734950 zeigt eine Sprühdosenanordnung gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1.document DE2734950 shows a spray can arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1.

A spray can arrangement is from the U.S. Patent 4,346,849 Also known and consists of a spray nozzle and a holder. Both. Components are made of metal and are soldered together. In particular for the spray nozzle, a very hard material is used, preferably sintered tungsten carbide. The Sprühdüsc is made from a small cylindrical portion of this material by a wedge-shaped groove in the pressure-side circular surface of the cylinder and a trapezoidal in the opposite circular surface of the cylinder Groove, which runs perpendicular to the wedge-shaped groove, is ground. Through the two interlocking grooves formed in the middle of a passage opening. The spray nozzle is then inserted into a holder, which also consists of metal, and soldered to it. In the holder, a cylindrical channel is formed, which leads to the wedge-shaped groove of the spray nozzle. With the known spray nozzle, which is also referred to as a cross-slotted nozzle, favorable spray properties are achieved, however, the known spray nozzle assembly is very expensive to manufacture.

On this basis, it is the object of the invention to provide a spray nozzle arrangement which has advantageous spray properties and can also be economically produced in large quantities.

This object is achieved by a spray nozzle arrangement having the features of claim 1.

The first channel section is tapered by two mutually facing side surfaces to form an oblong oblique cross sectional area. The narrow cross-sectional area can have an arbitrary shape, in particular a curvature or a juxtaposition of differently oriented sections. Due to the tapering cross section of the first channel section, an inflowing medium is first compressed. After flowing through the passage opening, the medium passes into the adjacent second passage section, which has two opposite, with increasing distance from the passage opening remote from each other side surfaces. The cross section of the second channel section therefore widens in the flow direction, which favors a well-defined spraying. The edges of the two side surfaces of the second channel section which face the passage opening extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the oblong narrow cross-sectional area. The two cross sections formed by the respective two side surfaces of the first and second channel sections thus intersect, for example, at a right angle. By manufacturing as a plastic part, the entire spray nozzle assembly can be made in one piece, for example in an injection molding process. Compared to the known spray nozzle thus eliminates the individual editing of the spray nozzle and their insertion in a separate holder.

The invention is based on the recognition that the use of a particularly hard material for the spray nozzle according to the prior art for the purpose of reducing wear is not required for many applications. In particular, for the equipment of provided for a single filling spray cans or atomizers with a spray head and a spray nozzle assembly made entirely of plastic according to the invention meets the requirements.

An application example is the spraying of undiluted olive oil by the airless method with a spray head comprising a spray nozzle arrangement according to the invention, for example for spraying salads.

The second channel section is delimited between its two side surfaces by two boundary surfaces arranged approximately perpendicular to the plane of the passage opening, which have a lateral distance from the passage opening. By means of these additional boundary surfaces, further control and targeted influencing of the spray jet succeed. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the boundary surfaces are arranged approximately on the jacket of an imaginary cylinder whose longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the plane of the passage opening. It has been shown that this results in a particularly favorable spray behavior.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the nozzle channel comprises a third channel section adjoining the second channel section and having two side surfaces each extending in the plane of one of the two side surfaces of the second channel section and approximately two of the two side surfaces of the third channel section is delimited perpendicular to the plane of the passage opening arranged boundary surfaces, which are arranged at a lateral distance from the boundary surfaces of the second channel portion and further than these away from the passage opening. Through the third channel portion, another portion of the nozzle channel is provided, the expansion in the flow direction in the one direction corresponds to the expansion of the second channel portion, while in the direction perpendicular thereto between the second and third channel portion a step is formed. The geometric design of the second and third channel section, in particular the forming step, allows a further targeted influence on the spray behavior.

The nozzle channel preferably comprises a fourth channel section which is arranged in the direction of flow in front of the first channel section and which has a cylindrical cross section. Through this fourth channel portion, the medium to be sprayed can be introduced into the spray nozzle assembly. It is noteworthy that this channel portion is formed integrally with the one-piece molded plastic part. Thereby, the spray nozzle assembly can be designed so that when installed in a spray head, a smaller number of components is needed.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the narrow-sectional area on both sides of the passage opening on a substantially arranged in the plane of the passage opening portion. Preferably, the narrow cross-sectional area has two further sections, which adjoin the two sections of the narrow cross-sectional area arranged laterally of the passage opening, and which are inclined with respect to the plane of the passage opening in the direction of the first channel section. The precise shaping of the channel section which conducts the medium to the passage opening is of particular importance for the flow conditions of the medium and also for the resulting spray behavior. It has been shown that a particularly advantageous spray behavior is achieved by the mentioned embodiment of the narrow-sectioned area.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, two webs protrude from the narrow cross-sectional area adjacent to the passage opening and project into the first channel section. Preferably, these webs extend in the direction of the side surfaces of the second channel section. The bars lead to an advantageous turbulence of the flow immediately before passing through the passage opening. As a result, a particularly advantageous spray behavior is achieved.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the spray nozzle assembly of polyoxymethylene (POM), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide (PA) and / or polypropylene (PP) is made. The plastics mentioned are distinguished by particularly advantageous processing and application properties.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to two embodiments shown in seven figures.

The Fig. 1 shows a spray nozzle arrangement according to the invention in a perspective view from above. The spray nozzle arrangement with the nozzle channel running in the middle terminates in a flat, approximately rectangular outer surface 10 with two rounded sides and strongly rounded corners. Adjacent to the outer surface 10 extends an approximately parallelepiped block 12 and a cylindrical section 14.

In the interior and along the longitudinal axis of the spray nozzle arrangement of the nozzle channel, whose passage opening 16 extends in the view of Fig. 1 is visible. A medium to be sprayed is passed through a first, non-visible channel section and through the passage opening 16. Adjacent to the passage opening 16 is a second channel portion which is bounded by two side surfaces 18 which are opposite and with increasing distance from the passage opening from each other, and two approximately perpendicular to the plane of the passage opening 16 arranged boundary surfaces 20. The two boundary surfaces 20 are arranged on the mantle of an imaginary cylinder whose longitudinal axis extends perpendicularly through the plane of the passage opening 16.

Adjacent to the second channel portion is a third channel portion bounded by two side surfaces 22 that merge seamlessly into each side surface 18 of the second channel portion and two boundary surfaces 24 that are approximately parallel to the boundary surfaces 20 of the second channel portion, however laterally spaced therefrom and offset outwards. Due to the described arrangement of the side and boundary surfaces of the nozzle channel widens in the region of the second and third channel portion starting from the passage opening 16 in the flow direction resistant. The third channel section opens into the flat outer surface 10, so that the nozzle channel ends in total on this outer surface.

The two boundary surfaces 20 of the second channel section form a step between the second and third channel sections.

Die Seitenflächen 22 des dritten Kanalabschnitts erstrecken sich senkrecht zu der längeren Kante der ebenen Außenfläche 10.The side surfaces 22 of the third channel portion are substantially wider than its boundary surfaces 24, so that the third channel portion has an approximately rectangular, elongated cross-section. The side surfaces 22 of the third channel section extend perpendicular to the longer edge of the flat outer surface 10.

The perspective sectional view of Fig. 2 shows the spray nozzle assembly of Fig. 1 wherein the sectional plane extends along the longitudinal axis of the nozzle channel, ie centrally through the passage opening 16, and in the direction of the longer edge of the flat outer surface 10.

In this view, one recognizes the side surfaces 18 and 22 and the boundary surfaces 20 and 24 of the second and third channel sections. At 30, an edge of the passage opening 16 can be seen. At this edge, a flat, parallel to the outer surface 10 arranged bottom surface 32 of the second channel section connects. In the flow direction below the passage opening 16 there is a first channel section 26. This has two mutually facing side surfaces, one of which is visible by the reference numeral 28. Due to the two mutually facing side surfaces, the first channel section tapers up to a narrow cross-sectional area 36, of which in the Fig. 2 only the center line running along the longitudinal axis of the oblong narrow cross-sectional area is visible. The narrow cross-sectional area extends on both sides of the passage opening 16 parallel to the outer surface 10. As far as the wall of the first channel portion 26 is not formed by the side surfaces 28, this is cylindrical.

Also provided with a cylindrical cross section is a fourth channel section 38. This fourth channel section serves to introduce the medium to be sprayed and merges seamlessly into the first channel section.

In the presentation of the Fig. 3 is the spray nozzle assembly of the FIGS. 1 and 2 shown in a further view, wherein the cutting plane also along the longitudinal axis of the spray nozzle assembly, but perpendicular to the in Fig. 2 used cutting plane runs. As in the Fig. 2 , you can see in Fig. 3 in that the edges of the side surfaces 28 and of the side surfaces 18 facing the passage opening 16 are perpendicular to one another, so that the cross-sectional areas of the first and second passage sections which are approximately rectangular in the region of the passage opening form a cross.

This cruciform arrangement can also be seen in the Fig. 4 in which the spray nozzle arrangement is shown in a view from below, ie in the direction of the flowing medium. Particularly well recognizable in this view are the two sections of the narrow cross-sectional area 36 arranged on both sides of the passage opening 16.

Shown dashed lines are the two flat bottom surfaces 32, which also adjoin the passage opening 16 and extend in a direction perpendicular to the narrow cross-sectional area 36. Visible are also the two flat bottom surfaces 34 and the circular section shape around the passage opening 16 arranged around boundary surfaces 20th

Der mit 40 bezeichnete Kreis gibt den inneren Umfang des zylindrischen vierten Kanalabschnitts 38 an.The circle designated 40 indicates the inner circumference of the cylindrical fourth channel section 38.

In the Fig. 5 a further embodiment of the invention is shown, wherein the view and sectional plane approximately that of the Fig. 2 equivalent. With the exception of the execution of the channel sections arranged around the passage opening 16, the second embodiment compensates for that Fig. 1 , In contrast to the first embodiment, however, the narrow cross-sectional area 36, which is delimited by the two mutually converging side surfaces 28 of the first channel section, does not extend completely in one plane. Rather, the Engquerschnittsfläche 36 on each side of the passage opening 16 has a first portion 42 which extends approximately in the plane of the passage opening 16 and parallel to the outer surface 10, and a second portion 44 which is adjacent to the first portion 42 and with respect to the plane of Passage opening 16 is inclined towards the first channel section 26.

As a further special feature, there is on each side of the passage opening 16 a web 46 projecting from a first section 42 of the narrow-cross-sectional surface 36, which protrudes into the first passage section. Each web 46 extends in the direction of one of the two side surfaces 18 of the second channel section.

Due to the special configuration of the narrow-throat cross-sectional area with the webs and the inclined sections 44, turbulence of the medium to be sprayed is achieved in the area of the first channel section prior to flowing through the passage opening 16.

In the view of Fig. 6 whose sectional plane is opposite to that of Fig. 5 is perpendicular, one recognizes the side surfaces 18 and 22 of the second and third channel portion and a side of the seamlessly adjoining web 46 which limits the passage opening 16.

For a better overview, the second embodiment is in the Fig. 7 again shown schematically in a perspective view, with hidden lines are shown in dashed lines. In this view, one can see particularly clearly the two sections 42 and 44 of the narrow cross-sectional area 36 as well as the cross-section of the passage opening 16.
