Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Schneiden eines Stranges (3) aus plastisch verformbaren Material, der in einem in der Längsrichtung des Stranges (3) verlaufenden Durchgang (4) auf einem Förderer bewegbar ist, mit wenigstens einem sich quer zur Förderrichtung (4) erstreckenden Schneidedraht (1a), der endseitig in einem Halter (1) gehalten ist, der durch einem Längsantrieb und einem Querantrieb (5) so bewegbar ist, dass der Schneidedraht (1a) bei einer der Fördergeschwindigkeit entsprechenden Längsbewegung von der einen Seite des Durchganges (3a) zur anderen Seite und wieder zurück bewegt wird. Um die Vorrichtung bezüglich der Querführung (9) bzw. des Querantriebs (5) zu verbessern, weist der Querantrieb (5) wenigstens zwei Antriebselemente (11) auf, die in einem längs der Förderrichtung (4) gerichteten Abstand (a) voneinander am Halter (1) angreifen.
