Der Bedienrechner dient dazu, Betriebszustandsdaten auszuwerten, produktionsspezifische Größen sich anzusehen und beispielsweise Probeläufe und dergleichen durchzuführen. Bei dem Bedienrechner handelt es sich in der Regel um einen herkömmlichen Industrie-PC, der über ein Netzwerk mit dem Steuerrechner verbunden ist. Die Positionierung des Bedienrechners relativ zu der Tablettenpresse wird hierbei durch die Kabelverbindung beschränkt. Zudem hat sich herausgestellt, daß die Kabelverbindung mit der Tablettenpresse Ursache für Fehler sind, die von einer Bedienperson nicht richtig erkannt werden oder der Tablettenpresse zugeordnet werden.Modern tablet presses can handle up to 1 million tablets per hour press. Prozeßrechner eine Hochgeschwindigkeitsdatentransferverbindung vorgesehen, die es gestattet, ein stabiles Regelverhalten auch bei großer Produktionsgeschwindigkeit zu erzielen. Gleichzeitig ist bei der erfindungsgemäßen Tablettenpressvorrichtung die Verbindung der Tablettenpresse zu dem Bediener über eine Sende- und Empfangseinheit vorgesehen, so daß Daten und Steuerbefehle über Funk ausgetauscht werden. Zwar eignet sich eine solche Datenverbindung nicht zur Übertragung mit einer hohen Datenrate, doch ist die bei der Verwendung von Sende-/Empfangseinheiten über Funk und/oder Infrarot erzielbare Datenrate für den Bedienrechner ausreichend. Mit dem drahtlosen Datenaustausch werden Kommunikationskabel im Produktionsraum vermieden, wodurch ein geringerer Aufwand bei der Reinigung des Produktionsraums anfällt. Hinzu kommt, daß bei der Installation ein geringerer Verdrahtungsaufwand anfällt und eine Herstellung von Kabeln mit einer kundenspezifischen Kabellänge entfallen kann. Zudem entfallen Fehler an den Bedienrechnern, die durch eine falsche oder unvollständige Verbindung mit der Tablettenpresse auftreten. Als weiterer Vorteil der erfindungsgemäßen kabellosen Verbindung ist auch zusehen, daß im Produktionsraum eine Unfallgefahr ausgeräumt wird.
