Die Transferpatrize 24 wird auf dem Stempel 18 der Prägewalze 12 derartig

Nach dem Anbringen der Transferpatrize 24 am Stempel 18 werden die Prägewalze
12 und die Gegendruckwalze 14 der Prägestation 10 mit einander entsprechenden
Umfangsgeschwindigkeiten zueinander entgegengesetzt rotativ angetrieben. Das ist
in Figur 1A durch die beiden bogenförmigen Pfeile 38 angedeutet. Infolge dieser
simultanen Rotation wird die Transferpatrize 24 von der Prägewalze 12 zur
Gegendruckwalze 14 transferiert. Das ist in Figur 1 C verdeutlicht. Die Transferpatrize
24 wird an der Zylinderoberfläche 40 der Gegendruckwalze 14 in Bezug auf den
Stempel 18 der Prägewalze 12 genau richtig positioniert fixiert. Das ist in Figur 1 B und
1C durch die doppelt strichpunktierten Linien 42 und die zugehörigen Umfangswinkel
angedeutet, die durch die bogenförmigen Pfeile 44 verdeutlicht sind.After attaching the
Die Fixierung der dünnen flexiblen und biegsamen Transferpatrize 24 an der
Zylinderoberfläche der Gegendruckwalze 14 erfolgt bspw. durch eine Klebung. Nach

wird - nach dem Entfemen des Füllmateriales - im Passerfenster 32 der
Transferpatrize 24 eine vorgefertigte Patrize 46 aus einem dünnen formstabilen
Material (siehe Figur 1 C) genau positioniert fixiert. Die Fixierung der Patrize 46 im
Passerfenster 32 der Transferpatrize 24 kann ebenfalls durch eine Klebung erfolgen.
Das Einsetzen der vorgefertigten, mit einer Patrizen-Reliefstrukturierung 48
ausgebildeten Patrize 46 in das Passerfenster 32 der an der Zylindermantelfläche 40
der Gegendruckwalze 14 fixierten Transferpatrize 24 ist in Figur 1 C sowie in Figur 3
durch den Pfeil 50 angedeutet. Die Patrizen-Reliefstrukturierung 48 der Patrize 34 ist
an die Stempel-Reliefstrukturierung 20 des Stempels 18 der Prägewalze 12 negativ
angepaßt. Bildet die Stempel-Reliefstrukturierung 20 eine Positivform so bildet die
Patrizen-Reliefstrukturierung 48 die entsprechende Negativform, und umgekehrt. In
Figur 3 ist die Gegendruckwalze 14 abschnittweise gezeichnet. Die Figur 3
verdeutlicht außerdem, daß die formstabile Patrize 34 mit einer teilzylindrisch konkav
gekrümmten Innenfläche 52 ausgebildet ist, deren Krümmung R der Krümmung R der
Zylindermantelfläche 40 der Gegendruckfläche 14 genau entspricht. Außerdem weist
die formstabile Patrize 34 eine Wanddicke D auf, die der Wanddicke D der

Die formstabile Patrize 30 wird in das Passerfenster 32 der Transferpatrize 24
paßgenau eingesetzt und im Passerfenster 32 durch eine Klebung fixiert. Die
solchermaßen vorbereitete bzw. assemblierte Prägestation 10 steht dann zum
Strukturieren und Prägen zur Verfügung, wie aus Figur 4 ersichtlich ist. Seitlich neben
der zweckmäßigerweise beheizbaren Prägewalze 12 der Prägestation 10 ist eine
Lenkrolle 54 und seitlich neben der Gegendruckwalze 14 ist eine zweite Lenkrolle 56
vorgesehen. Um die Lenkrolle 56 wird bspw. eine Bahn aus Papier 58 und um die
Lenkrolle 54 wird eine Prägefolienbahn 60 der Prägestation 10 zugeführt. Die
Prägewalze 12 und die Gegendruckwalze 14 der Prägestation 10 werden rotativ
angetrieben. Hierbei werden die Bahn aus Papier 58 und die Prägefolienbahn 60
simultan durch die Prägestation 10 hindurch bewegt. Hierbei wird die Papierbahn 58
durch den Stempel 18 und die Patrize 34 strukturiert und gleichzeitig die der
Papierbahn 58 zugewandte Dekorlage 62 der Prägefolie 60 auf die Papierbahn 58
geprägt. Die mit der Dekorlage 62 beprägte strukturierte Papierbahn 58 ist in Figur 4
stromabwärts nach der Prägewalze 12 mit der Bezugsziffer 64 bezeichnet. Der von
der Prägefolie 60 stromabwärts nach der Prägestation abgelöste Träger der
Prägefolie 60 ist mit der Bezugsziffer 66 bezeichnet. The dimensionally

Claims (6)
- Method for precisely positioning a male mould (34) on a counter-pressure cylinder (14) of an embossing station (10) interacting with an embossing cylinder (12), the embossing cylinder (12) having on its circumferential cylinder surface (16) a die (18) with a die relief structuring, and the male mould (34), formed with a male-mould relief structuring (48) corresponding negatively to the die relief structuring (20), being positioned on the circumferential cylinder surface (40) of the counter-pressure cylinder (14) exactly in register with the die (18) on the circumferential cylinder surface (16) of the embossing cylinder (12), characterized in that a thin flexible, pliable male transfer mould (24), which has a registration window (32), is temporarily fixed in an exactly positioned manner on the die (18) of the embossing cylinder (12), in that the male transfer mould (24) is transferred from the embossing cylinder (12) to the counter-pressure cylinder (14) and is fixed on the counter-pressure cylinder (14), the embossing cylinder (12) and the counter-pressure cylinder (14) being rotationally driven in opposite directions with respect to each other at circumferential speeds corresponding to each other, and in that the male mould (34) is subsequently fixed exactly in register in the registration window (32) of the male transfer mould (24) fixed on the counter-pressure cylinder (14), the male mould (34) formed with the male-mould relief structuring (48) consisting of a thin dimensionally stable material which has a cylindrical curvature (R) corresponding to the curvature (R) of the circumferential cylinder surface (40) of the counter-pressure cylinder (14).
- Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that a male transfer mould (24) which has a layer of synthetic resin (28) on a base fabric (26) is used, the layer of synthetic resin (28) forming on the base fabric (26) a frame (30) by which the registration window (32) for the male mould (34) is delimited in a defined manner.
- Method according to Claim 2, characterized in that a male transfer mould (24) is used, the layer of synthetic resin (28) having a thickness (D) which corresponds to the thickness (D) of the male mould (34).
- Method according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized in that a male transfer mould (24) is used, the base fabric (26) being a glass-fibre or carbon-fibre fabric and the layer of synthetic resin (28) being a layer of epoxy resin.
- Method according to one of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the male transfer mould (24) is adhesively attached by its base fabric (26) on the circumferential cylinder surface (40) of the counter-pressure cylinder (14).
- Method according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the male mould (34) is adhesively attached in the registration window (32) of the male transfer mould (24).
