- Method of operating a machine (10) used for producing a fibrous web, in particular paper or board web, in which the fibrous web is taken over into the drying section (14) by an endless belt (18) running through the last press nip of the press section (12), the endless belt (18) has spray water applied to it in order to clean and condition it, the spray water is scraped off the endless belt (18) by means of a doctor (22) and fibrous material accumulating during the web transfer operation is collected in a pulper (16), and in which an adjustable scoop (26) is used and this scoop (26) is displaced between a connecting and sealing position, located in the region between press section (12), pulper (16) and drying section (14), in which it collects spray water accumulating during normal operation and seals off the drying section (14) with respect to the press section (12), that is to say prevents the formation of air flows over the pulper (16), and an exposed position, in which it exposes the pulper (16) to the fibrous material that accumulates during the web transfer operation and permits the extraction of air entrained as the web is knocked off, in particular on the first cylinder (24) of the drying section (14).
- Method according to Claim 1, in which a pivotable scoop (26) is used.
- Method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a scoop (26) that can be displaced by cylinders (32), that is to say preferably hydraulic cylinders, is used.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a scoop (26) provided with at least one water inlet or connection and at least one water outlet, preferably a plurality of water outlet holes, is used.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the endless belt (18) provided is a press belt.
- Method according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the endless belt (18) provided is a felt.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, for maintenance work on the doctor (22), on the device (20) that supplies the spray water, in particular a spray pipe, and/or on one or more other devices provided in the relevant region, for example what is known as an Enviro-Scan, a separate catwalk (34) is introduced, preferably pivoted in.
- Method according to Claim 7, characterized in that the catwalk (34) is displaced or pivoted via hand-operated winches and/or the like.
- Machine (10) for producing a fibrous web, in particular paper or board web, in which the fibrous web is taken over into the drying section (14) by an endless belt (18) which runs through the last press nip of the press section (12), to which belt spray water is applied in order to clean and condition it and to which a doctor (22) is assigned, and in which fibrous material accumulating during the web transfer operation is collected in a pulper (16), characterized in that a scoop (26) is provided, which can be displaced between a connecting and sealing position, located in the region between press section (12), pulper (16) and drying section (14), in which it collects spray water accumulating during normal operation and seals off the drying section (14) with respect to the press section (12), that is to say prevents the formation of air flows over the pulper (16), and an exposed position, in which it exposes the pulper (16) to the fibrous material that accumulates during the web transfer operation and permits the extraction of air entrained as the web is knocked off, in particular on the first cylinder (24) of the drying section (14).
- Machine according to Claim 9, characterized in that the scoop (26) can be pivoted.
- Machine according to Claim 9 or 10, characterized in that the scoop (26) can be displaced by cylinders (32), that is to say preferably hydraulic cylinders.
- Machine according to one of Claims 9 to 11, characterized in that the scoop (26) is provided with at least one water inlet or connection and at least one water outlet, preferably a plurality of water outlet holes.
- Machine according to one of Claims 9 to 12, characterized in that the endless belt (18) is formed by a press belt.
- Machine according to one of Claims 10 to 12, characterized in that the endless belt (18) is formed by a felt.
- Machine according to one of Claims 9 to 14, characterized in that, for maintenance work on the doctor (22), on the device (20) that supplies the spray water, in particular a spray pipe, and/or on one or more other devices provided in the relevant region, for example what is known as an Enviro-Scan, a separately displaceable, preferably pivotable, catwalk (34) is provided, which can be moved or pivoted into the relevant region as appropriate.
- Machine according to Claim 15, characterized in that the catwalk (34) can be displaced or pivoted via hand-operated winches and/or the like.
