Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verschlusseinrichtung 10 einer Koksofenbatterie, mit der eine Rohröffnung 12 der Batterie, insbesondere eines Steigrohres, verschließbar ist, deren Öffnung 12 von einem Verschlusssitz 18 mit einer ersten ringförmigen Dichtfläche 58 umgeben ist, an die ein am Sitz 18 abdichtendes Verschlussorgan 16 mit einer zweiten, ebenfalls ringförmigen Dichtfläche 60 zur Anlage bringbar ist. Um die betrieblichen und konstruktiven Nachteile bekannter Verschlusssitze nach Art einer sogenannten Wassertassen-Abdichtung zu verbessern und die Konstruktion zu vereinfachen, ist vorgesehen, dass eine der Dichtflächen 58 kreisringförmig und die andere Dichtfläche 60 Teil einer Kugel K ist, wobei das Verschlussorgan 16 zweckmäßigerweise mit einem Kardan- 38 oder Kugelgelenk an einem Verschlussmechanismus 20, insbesondere schwimmend, gelagert ist.
