Description

The invention relates to a carrier element with an outer part and an in the outer part insertable inner part according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such carrier elements are used, for example, in motor vehicles Carrier for fuses and relays or other electrical components and / or used to make electrical connections.

With such carrier elements it is desirable in certain cases the inner part at least in one direction with respect to a receiving space of the outer part shortened to assemble of the carrier element a relative movement of the outer part and inner part also allow in a transverse or longitudinal direction, the z. B. can be used to lock contact elements. When inserting of the shortened inner part in the outer part can be the inner part then move relative to the outer part in that direction, so that there is a risk of misalignment between the inner part and the outer part and there is no exact positioning of the inner part is possible.

It is the problem (task) on which the invention is based, a carrier element of the type mentioned to create that with a simple structure a safe and quick assembly of the outer part and the Inside allowed in the simplest possible way.

DE 4 439 786 A1 describes an airbag connector according to the preamble of claim 1 can be plugged together with one of two housing parts and lockable housing. A housing part includes a detent spring clip, and the other housing part multiple latch spring arms, each with latches of the other Interact housing part.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1 and in particular in that the stop surfaces at least one vertically and at least comprise a stop surface running parallel to an insertion direction and the elastically deformable area as a rocker with two surrounding relative to the rocker Regions of the outer part movable free end regions formed is.

The invention enables the inner part to be defined first Starting position and thus the outer part and the inner part to be aligned relative to each other in such a way that the subsequent relative movement to transfer the inner part into its end position and thus to Establish the final connection based on a predetermined one defined starting position is made. This is particularly so then advantageous if the relative movement for locking or securing from e.g. contacts previously inserted into the outer part can be used should. The stop surfaces provided according to the invention thus the insertion movement of the inner part is interrupted and at the same time one correct positioning of the inner part relative to the outer part in the starting position guaranteed.

By providing the stop surfaces for the inner part on an elastic deformable area of the outer part, the inner part can easily by deforming the outer part out of engagement with the stop surfaces brought to enable the transfer to the end position. On User who is positioning the outer part with one hand and holding the inner part with the other hand can, therefore, after positioning of the inner part deform without changing the outer part and make the final connection. The invention thus enables simple and quick connection in a single operation.

Another advantage of the carrier element according to the invention is that that due to the elastic deformability of the outer part, the locking of the inner part in its end position simply by Removing the force exerted to deform the outer part causes can be. According to the invention are therefore neither for the correct prepositioning of the inner part for locking it in the end position special measures or additional components required.

While the stop surface is perpendicular to the direction of insertion interrupts the insertion movement of the inner part, which serves parallel to Insert direction extending stop surface, the correct positioning of the inner part relative to the outer part in a direction perpendicular to the direction of insertion ensure level. This is done by positioning the inner part in its through the stop surfaces certain starting position a fixation of the inner part simultaneously with respect two directions that are perpendicular to each other in this variant.

The invention also enables the stop surfaces on the to provide a free end area of the rocker and its other free To form the end area as an actuating area which acts on can be made to disengage the abutment surfaces from the inner part bring. Only comparatively small actuation forces are required here, to the elastic deformation of the outer part in which the To effect swivel axis of the rocker-encompassing area.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the stop surfaces are formed on the locking portion.

This results in a particularly simple structure of the invention Carrier element achieved because the locking portion at the same time as a stop for the inner part to create the defined starting position and as an interlock preventing accidental disconnection serves.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention the inner part in the starting position fits exactly between two parallel to one Faces of the outer part arranged in the direction of insertion.

One of the surfaces on the elastically deformable region of the Be formed part, while the inner wall as a further surface one of the side walls of the outer part is used. You can also use both surfaces be formed on the elastically deformable area. In the case of one with respect to a direction opposite to a receiving space of the outer part shortened inner part is due to the surfaces serving as stops prevents the inner part from being relative in the direction in question moved to the outer part in the recording room and before making the final connection takes any undefined position.

The width of the essentially cuboid inner part 12 is such dimensioned that the inner part 12 fits in with respect to this direction the outer part 10 is insertable and essentially without play in the outer part 10 is arranged. The length of the inner part 12, however, is smaller than that Length of the receiving space 14, so that between the relevant end face of the inner part 12 and the side wall 16 of the outer part 10 a space 18 is present.

In its initial position shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3a and 3b, this lies Inner part 12 each perpendicular to one in FIGS. 2 and 3 an arrow indicated insertion direction E extending ribs 20 surfaces of the outer part 10 explained in more detail below. Ribs 20 are formed on the two larger outer sides of the inner part 12 and protrude from recessed areas 22 of the outer sides.

With the ribs 20, the inner part 12 lies on one of the longer ones Section 32 corresponding to L-beams of an L-shaped rib 30 of the outer part 10 on. The ribs 30 are each elastically deformable Area 40 of the outer part 10 is formed, which is described in more detail below becomes.

The outward-facing sides that are perpendicular to the direction of insertion E extending longer sections 32 of the ribs 30 serve as stop surfaces 34 for the ribs 20 of the inner part 12, which is a movement interrupt the inner part 12 in the direction of insertion E. The shorter one L-bars corresponding to, parallel to the direction of insertion E. Shorter sections 36 of the ribs 30 form stop surfaces 36 for the ribs 20 of the inner part 12, the movement of the inner part 12 relative to the outer part 10 to the left in Fig. 1 and 2 and thus prevent ensure that the gap 18 is maintained.

In its initial position shown, the inner part 12 is a perfect fit between the shorter portions 36 of and from the ribs 30 Section 36 of the side wall 16 of the outer part 10 which is further away arranged. A movement of the inner part 12 relative to the outer part 10 in one perpendicular to the direction of insertion E and thus parallel to the floor area 24 of the receiving space 14 extending level is in the starting position therefore not possible. The inner part 12 can thus only by a movement from the direction opposite to the direction of insertion E. Outer part 10 can be removed.

The elastically deformable areas 40 of the outer part 10 are each as Rocker formed around a in Fig. 2 by a dash-dotted line indicated axis W relative to the surrounding areas of the concerned Side wall 17 is pivotable. The axes W each extend by web-shaped material sections 17a of the side wall 17, each as a connecting section between the rocker 40 and the side wall 17th serve. By moving the rocker 40, these material sections 17a elastically deformed.

The L-shaped ribs 30 and thus the stop surfaces 34, 38 are each formed on the one free end region of the rocker 40, which by narrow rectangular cutouts that run parallel to the direction of insertion E. 26 is fixed in the side wall 17.

Of the others described in more detail below with reference to FIG. 3a free end areas of the rockers 40 of the outer part 10 are only in FIG. 1 actuating ribs 42 each forming an actuating area detect.

Aus Fig. 3a geht hervor, daß die Betätigungsrippen 42 jeweils rampenartig ausgeführt sind und deren Höhe jeweils in Richtung des freien Endes der Wippe 40 zunimmt.3a that the actuating ribs 42 are each ramp-like are executed and their height in the direction of the free end of the Rocker 40 increases.

Fig. 3a further shows that in the 14th below the receiving space located base 29 of the outer part 10 recesses 28 are provided, through which the free end areas provided with the actuating ribs 42 the rockers 40 are separated from the base 29. The width of the Recesses 28 - as indicated by a dashed line in Fig. 1 - each approximately equal to the sum of the width of the with the ribs 30 provided free end portion of the rocker 40 and the widths of the two Excerpts 26. In FIG. 2, for the sake of clarity, one Representation of the recesses 28 apart.

The cutouts 28 make it possible to connect the actuating ribs 42 provided actuation areas of the rockers 40 in the direction of the base 29 of the outer part 10 to move the rockers 40 in this way to pivot the axes W and those at the opposite end arranged ribs 30 to move away from the inner part 12. Here are the Areas of the outer part 10 through which the axes W run, one subject to elastic deformation.

Fig. 3b shows the area marked by a circle in Fig. 3a in one enlarged view. In particular, the stop surfaces 34, 38 of the rib 30 and that cooperating with the stop surfaces 34, 36 Rib 20 of the inner part 12 can be seen.

In Fig. 4a, the inner part 12 is shown in its end position in which it is the bottom area 24 of the receiving space 14 of the outer part 10 and thus rests on the base 29. In the end position, the ribs reach behind 20 of the inner part 12 and the longer sections 32 of the ribs 30 each each other, the inner part 12 fitting between the floor area 24 or the base 29 and the ribs 30 is arranged. The ribs 30 of the outer part 10 consequently serve in the end position of the inner part 12 as locking sections, which is an unintentional loosening of the connection between prevent the inner part 12 and the outer part 10.

From Fig. 4b, which is an enlarged view of the in Fig. 4a by a Circle marked area, it is particularly apparent that the rib 20 of the inner part 12 on the longer serving as a locking section Section 32 of the rib 30 abuts.

Das Innenteil 12 weist des weiteren vier Rastnasen 52 auf, von denen in Fig. 5a zwei zu erkennen sind.5a shows that the inner part 12 with six identical and Groups of openings 50 distributed over the inner part 12 is provided for receiving by means of the carrier element according to the invention to be used relays. Furthermore, one of the strip-shaped Ribs 20 can be seen on the recessed area 22 is formed. The inner part 12 also has four locking lugs 52, two of which can be seen in FIG. 5a.

The openings are in the base 29 of the outer part 10 shown in FIG. 5b 50 of the inner part 12 corresponding openings formed in Fig. 5b are not shown and inserted through the contact elements can be arranged with the inner part 12 Relays are to be electrically connected. Furthermore, are on the inside one shorter side wall 16 formed two inclined surfaces 54, the purpose of which is explained below. In Fig. 5b are also over the web-shaped material sections 17a with the respective side wall 17 connected rockers 40 to recognize the inside of the L-shaped Rib 30 and the outside have the actuating ribs 42. Fig. 5b shows also that the operating ranges of the rockers 40 by parallel Cutouts 26 in the side wall 17 extending in the direction of insertion E. are set. Furthermore, one of the cutouts 28 can be seen a movement of the operating range of the rockers 40 in the direction of Allow socket 29. The longer side walls 16 of the outer part 10 are further provided with recesses 58 which form through part of the edge Bars 56 are completed and with the detents 52 of the inner part 12 cooperate.

According to the invention, the connection between the Outer part 10 and the inner part 12 in two steps. In the first step is the starting position shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3a and 3b, in which the ribs 20 of the inner part 12 on those of the ribs 30 of the outer part 10 provided stop surfaces 34, 38 abut. That way the desired correct relative orientation of the inner part 12 with respect of the outer part 10 achieved. The inner part 12 is for this purpose in the outer part 10 clipped in, the locking lugs 52 of the inner part 12 in the recesses 58 of the outer part 10 and reach behind the webs 56. hereby the inner part 12 is held captive on the outer part 10.

Before or after, but before the inner part 12 continues into the outer part 10 is moved in, are described in the above Embodiment the already mentioned contact elements from the outside or from the back of the outer part 10 or support element through the Base 29 of the outer part 12 formed openings, wherein engage the contact elements in their target position and in this way an initial locking between the contact elements and the outer part 10 or the carrier element is made.

It can happen in individual cases that a contact element is not correct locked and thus against being pushed back out of the outer part 10 is not secured out. To be safe even in such cases Ensuring contact is a relative movement between the inner part 12 and outer part 10 with a component perpendicular to the direction of insertion E used the contact elements by a second locking to secure.

For this purpose, an elastic is carried out first by actuating the rockers 40 Deformation of the outer part 10, which causes the ribs 30 laterally are pivoted away and their stop surfaces 34, 38 out of engagement with the ribs 20 of the inner part 12. The movement of the inner part 12 into the outer part 10 can now be continued. there the inclined surfaces 54 ensure a longitudinal movement of the inner part 12 in Outer part 10, which due to the in the starting position on the inclined surfaces 54 opposite transverse side existing space 18 is made possible. By the longitudinal movement of the inner part 12 which through the outer part 10 and into the openings 50 of the Carried inner part 12 and extending contact elements each via a base area 24 of the outer part 10, not shown holding projection moves. Through this second locking the contact elements are secured to the carrier element.

The movement of the inner part 12 guided by the inclined surfaces 54 is ended when the inner part 12 on the base 29 of the outer part 10 for System comes as shown in Fig. 4a. The height of the inner part 12 is dimensioned such that it is flush with the Edge of the side walls 16, 17 of the outer part 10 closes.

By releasing the rockers 40, those equipped with the ribs 30 jump free end areas due to the elastic deformation of the outer part 10 back to its original position, making the final 4a is reached, in which the Inner part 12 locked by the ribs 30 in its end position in the outer part 10 is.

An additional safeguard for the carrier element according to the invention can by means of a security, also known as a connector position assurance (CPA) done before the final connection of Outer part 10 and inner part 12 inserted into the gap or space 18, removed before moving the inner part 12 and after reaching the end position of the inner part 12 in the now with the Inclined surfaces 54 provided transverse side existing space becomes.

The invention thus allows the positioning of the inner part 12 in one defined starting position relative to the outer part 10, starting from which when moving the inner part 12 into its end position in reproducible and securely made a second lock for contact elements can be.
