Vorzugsweise kommt eine derartige Schiebe-/Schneidtrommel bei Filterstabkomponente zum Einsatz, die bereits vorher in mehrfacher Gebrauchslänge einem Vorrat entnommen und unterteilt wurden. Um diese unterteilten Filterstabkomponenten nochmals zu durchtrennen, ist es erforderlich, sie nochmals in eine queraxiale Reihenformation zu überführen.
Um die aufeinanderfolgenden Ausricht- und Ausweichbewegungen der Ausrichtmittel exakt aufeinander abzustimmen, ist gemäß einer Weiterbildung vorgesehen, daß die Ausrichtanschläge diese außerhalb des Wirkbereichs der als Kreismesser ausgebildeten Schneidmittel in eine definierte Anschlagposition vorbewegenden und im Wirkbereich der Schneidmittel aus der Anschlagposition zurückziehenden Stellantriebsmitteln versehen sind.

Um jeweils eine bedarfsgerechte Positionierung der Artikel, insbesondere in Zusammenwirkung der Schiebe-/Schneidtrommel mit Nachfolgetrommeln zu ermöglichen bzw. wählen zu können, wird weiterhin vorgeschlagen, daß die in die Aufnahmemulden eintauchenden Ausrichtanschläge mit ihren Stellantriebsmitteln auf wenigstens einer Stirnseite der Muldentrommel angeordnet sind oder alternativ auf beiden Stirnseiten der Muldentrommel angeordnet sind.

Die Ausrichtanschläge 52 sind während des Trommelumlaufs in den Aufnahmemulden 51 längsbeweglich geführt, wozu sie mit Stellantriebsmitteln 53 in Form einer um eine geneigte Achse synchron mit der Schiebe-/Schneidtrommel 9 rotierenden Taumelscheibe 54 versehen sind.
Im Bereich ihrer stirnseitigen Anschlagfläche 56 weisen die Ausrichtanschläge 52 eine den Muldengrund der Aufnahmemulde 51 überdeckende Ausnehmung 57 auf, in deren Überdachungsbereich Saugkanäle 58 einmünden, in deren Aktivierungsbereich die Schiebe-/Schneidtrommel 9 mit einer Umfangsabdeckung 59 gemäß Figur 1 versehen ist.
Mit 61 sind Halteluftbohrungen für die Filterstäbe 6 bezeichnet. Abgabeseitig wirkt die Schiebe-/Schneidtrommel 9 mit der Spreiztrommel 14 zusammen.

  • Beim Passieren des Kreismessers 12 zieht die Taumelscheibe 54 die jeweiligen Ausrichtanschläge 52 gemäß Figur 2c um ein geringes Maß in den betreffenden Aufnahmemulden 51 zurück, so daß beim Eintauchen des Kreismessers 12 in die Filterstäbe 6 deren abgetrennte Filterstopfen 13 längsaxial ausweichen können, wodurch Quetschungen und Deformationen verhindert werden.

Claims (7)

  1. Apparatus for the longitudinal-axial positioning of rod-shaped articles, to be cut through, of the tobacco-processing industry in receiving troughs of a rotating trough drum, having aligning stops (52) which extend into the receiving troughs (51) and are longitudinally displaceable relative to the receiving troughs (51), characterised in that the trough drum is designed as a combined pushing/cutting drum (9; 38) which has an assigned rotating cutting means (12) and which is designed in order, by longitudinal-axial displacement of articles (6; 42) following one another in a staggered manner, to convert the articles into a transverse-axial row cutting formation (11; 39).
  2. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised in that the aligning stops (52) are provided with actuating drive means (53) which, outside the working region of the cutting means (12) designed as a circular knife, advance them into a defined stop position and, in the working region of the cutting means, retract them from the stop position.
  3. Apparatus according to Claim 2, characterised in that the actuating drive means (53) are designed as a nutating disc (54) rotating at the end side with the trough drum (9; 38).
  4. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the aligning stops (52) are provided, in the region of their stop face (56), with a recess (57) which covers over the trough bottom of the receiving troughs (51) and into the covering-over region of which there open suction ducts (58) cooperating with the aligning stops.
  5. Apparatus according to Claim 4, characterised in that the suction ducts (58) can be activated in an aligning zone defined by a peripheral cover (59) of the trough drum (9; 38).
  6. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the aligning stops (52) penetrating into the receiving troughs (51) are arranged with their actuating drive means (53) on at least one end side of the trough drum (9; 38).
  7. Apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the aligning stops (52) are arranged with correspondingly assigned actuating drive means (53) on both end sides of the trough drum (9; 38).
