- A star or disc screen arrangement for waste separation of materials which also include fibrous and/or foil-type components, comprising several screen disc shafts (1) with tool and/or end discs (2; 3) securably arranged in a spaced relationship on the shaft, with the screen disc shafts (1) being replaceably fixed in a screen bed frame, the shafts comprising rotary drive means (11) and spacer members (4) being arranged between the tool and/or end discs (2; 3); the spacer members (4) located between the tool and/or end discs (2; 3) further comprising a double truncated cone shape (16; 17) or an essentially parabolic area of revolution, with the opposite top surfaces of the truncated cones (16; 17) or the vertex of the parabola relative to the sleeve length extending symmetrically, or the shafts sections between the discs (2; 3) comprising the above shape and forming such spacer members (4); further the spacer members (4) with the tool discs (2) being positioned on the shafts (1) in such a manner that the discs (2; 3) of neighbouring shafts (1) extend into the area of the smallest diameter of opposite spacer members, with cleaning cutting blades being provided adapted to be moved or swivelled into the arrangement, and with the contour of the blades being matched with the longitudinal section of the spacer members (4).
- The star or disc screen arrangement according to Claim 1,
characterised in that a transition area (15) extending essentially concentrically with the shaft (1) is provided between the opposite top surfaces of the truncated cones (16; 17). - The star or disc screen arrangement according to one of the previous claims,
characterised in that the spacer members (4) are formed from integral spacer sleeves or bushings made from a machined tubular material. - The star or disc screen arrangement according to Claim 3,
characterised in that of the spacer sleeves or bushings each consist of two conical portions pressed into one another on the shaft and/or welded together. - The star or disc screen arrangement according to Claim 1,
characterised in that the ratio of the base radius to the top surface radius of the truncated cones (16; 17) ranges from 1 : 0.5 to 1 : 0.9, preferably from 1 : 0.7 to 0.8, with the selection of the ratio being influenced by the distance of the screen discs. - The star or disc screen arrangement according to claim 1,
characterised in that the shaft sections are formed integrally with the shaft (1), and fastening recesses or circumferential grooves for an integral attachment of screen half discs are provided at the shaft (1). - The star or disc screen arrangement according to one of the previous claims,
characterised in that the revolution envelope of the spacer members has a double-cone or double-cone-like shape.
