Bei Teppichböden mit hohem Bewegungswiderstand, z.B. hochfloriger Teppichböden, öffnet sich der Saugmund, wenn der Saugkopf in Arbeitsrichtung über diese Böden bewegt wird. Der sich dann einstellende breite Saugmund erlaubt ein effektives Absaugen der hochflorigen Velourböden. Bei Auslegung der Federanordnung mit einer progressiven oder stufenförmigen Federkennlinie lassen sich beliebige Zwischenstellungen erzeugen. Bei dieser Ausführung ist gewährleistet, daß sich auch bei einer Rückwärtsbewegung des Saugkopfes der Saugmund nach Maßgabe des zu reinigenden Bodenbelages öffnet und schließt.
