Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a suction head for vacuum cleaners, especially household vacuum cleaners, with a housing and a sliding sole arranged on the underside of the housing, where the sliding sole is transverse to the working direction extending suction channel with one of one in Working direction front and rear suction mouth edge has limited suction mouth. The suction mouth edges are with Thread lifters equipped. The rear edge of the suction mouth can be too the front suction mouth edge parallel or at least in sections also be V-shaped to this. The sliding sole is fixed to the bottom of the case or arranged tiltable.
The suction mouth edges limit the suction channel compared to that Floor covering down, so that in an emerging narrow gap an air flow between the edge of the suction mouth and the floor covering high speed arises for the suction is decisive and causes cleaning of the floor covering. At commercially available suction heads for household vacuum cleaners the average distance between the suction mouth edges is about 9 to 25 mm. The distance between the suction mouth edges is essential for the performance characteristics of the suction head.
As part of the known measures, the distance is the Suction mouth edges an unchangeable design feature of the suction head. The dimensioning is based on the Floor covering for which the suction head is primarily designed.
The invention has for its object a suction head for vacuum cleaners to specify the suction properties the flooring can be adjusted.
To achieve this object, the invention teaches that Distance between the suction mouth edges adjustable and is operationally changeable. An adjustment of the suction mouth width and thus an adaptation of the suction properties the flooring is possible. The further configuration can so that the distance between the suction mouth edges of is mechanically adjusted to the user or after Providing a guide variable, e.g. the prevailing in the suction channel Negative pressure or that acting on the suction head Pushing force, automatically adjusts.
According to a first embodiment of the invention rear suction mouth edge arranged on a movable support and is an actuator with a carrier Foot or hand lever connected. This is preferably done Setting between two specified end values. According to Another preferred embodiment of the invention is rear suction mouth edge arranged on a movable support, the one with a forward movement of the suction head work area limited by attacks against a Spring arrangement movable with at least one compression spring is, the suction mouth according to the on the rear suction mouth edge effective movement resistance within the working area limited by the stops opens and closes further. The spring arrangement is dimensioned so that the suction mouth is at rest as well as when the suction head moves over smooth floors and Carpets with little movement resistance, e.g. Looped, largely closed. Such floors are therefore advantageous for these soils narrow suction mouth. For carpets with high Resistance to movement, e.g. deep-pile carpets, opens the suction mouth when the suction head is facing is moved over these floors. The one that then arises wide suction mouth allows effective suction of the deep-pile Velor floors. When designing the spring arrangement with a progressive or step-shaped spring characteristic any intermediate positions can be created. In Another embodiment teaches the invention that the front Suction mouth edge also on a movable support is arranged, when the suction head moves backward in a work area limited by attacks against a spring arrangement with at least one compression spring is movable, with the suction mouth in accordance with the the front suction mouth edge acting movement resistance within the working area limited by the stops opens and closes further. In this version it is guaranteed that even with a backward movement of the suction head the suction mouth in accordance with the cleaning floor covering opens and closes. Are front and the rear edge of the suction mouth is appropriately movable, it is possible to back and forth the flooring Sliding movements are optimal in each case adjustable suction mouth width.
As a guide for setting the suction mouth width not only the pushing force is suitable. As part of the Invention, it is also that the rear suction mouth edge an adjustable carrier is arranged, the adjusting movement according to the prevailing in the suction air duct Negative pressure occurs.
In all the versions described above, the adjustable suction mouth edge suitably on a slide arranged that directly or on the sliding sole indirectly horizontally movable or on one to the floor inclined path is kept movable. The change in distance can be done by changing the distance from the floor of the suction mouth edge be coupled.
It is within the scope of the invention that the adjustable Saugmundkante is arranged on a support that by means of a guide on a curved Trajectory is movable.
The teaching according to the invention is also suitable for use for suction heads equipped with a brush roller are. The invention teaches that in the suction channel Brush roller used on a liftable and lowerable holder is mounted that at least one of the suction mouth edges a horizontally movable carrier is arranged and that the holder and carrier mechanically coupled and by means of of a hand and foot lever are adjustable together. A such a suction head has two operating positions. In a the first operating position, the brush roller is lowered and a wide suction mouth set. The cutlery of the Brush roller dips through the suction mouth; of the In this operating position, the suction head works as a suction brush. The brush roller is in the second operating position raised and a narrow suction mouth set. In In this operating position, the suction head works as a static one Nozzle without brush roller operation.
