Abstract

PCT No. PCT/EP95/01971 Sec. 371 Date Dec. 30, 1996 Sec. 102(e) Date Dec. 30, 1996 PCT Filed May 24, 1995 PCT Pub. No. WO96/01351 PCT Pub. Date Jan. 18, 1996Mobile scaffoldings must fulfill many different purposes, which, among others, are characterized by variously wide platforms being needed at different distances from structures. An inventive arrangement is adaptable to a degree that it meets many demands. Movable crossbeams changeable on cross-traverses are provided for this purpose in the area of the undercarriage, on which crossbeams are fastened to the posts for the frames connected with the platforms.

Description

The invention relates to a mobile scaffolding made of prefabricated components, consisting essentially of vertical frames composed of stands, horizontal, rectangular covering platforms which can be placed in the frame on crossbars which may also be used as ladder rungs, and with access and limiting longitudinal and / or transverse rims can be equipped, diagonal longitudinal and / or transverse struts, attached to the uprights, longitudinal and / or transverse railing and / or intermediate bars and paired casters on the beam-shaped crossbeams for moving the scaffolding, the distance of which can preferably be changed.

Scaffolding of this type has been known for a long time and has proven itself because in many cases stationary scaffolding of buildings is not necessary and is also considerably more expensive. However, there are some peculiarities associated with portable scaffolding of this type that must be taken into account in their training.

It is obvious that in particular for easy portability and good stability when used to be respected; Relevant regulations ensure that the necessary rigidity of the respective scaffolding is secured and that the covering platforms are safely accessible and accessible. Precise regulations have been issued for the casters as to how they can be braked.

The operation of a mobile scaffolding presents considerable problems if the construction work carried out with it requires different scaffold depths or if the machined structure is also to be worked at different distances. On the one hand, there must be several scaffolds of different depths available, because very deep scaffolding is generally not desirable because of its space requirement if a shorter scaffold depth is sufficient, and on the other hand, the entire scaffolding including its "chassis" must be perpendicular to the normal, longitudinal transport direction are moved, which you usually try to avoid, even if it is prescribed that the castors must be provided with swivel brakes.

The invention has therefore set itself the task of designing a mobile scaffolding of the type specified in the introduction with simple means so that the scaffolding depth can be easily varied and, moreover, the distance of the scaffolding from the processed structure can be changed in a few simple steps, without one Need transverse movement.

According to the invention the object is achieved in that the cross members are continuous, but at least in one edge area at their two ends in cross section as a preferably rectangular hollow profile piece that the casters on preferably rectangular, axially insertable into the hollow profile pieces of the cross members and there are non-rotatably mounted beam pieces that one of the beam pieces is rigidly attached to each crossbeam, the other beam piece, on the other hand, is axially displaceably fastened in the associated hollow profile piece and that finally the frame in each case in the area of the crossbeam at the location of a transverse crossbeam which may otherwise be located there are provided in the same length with a crossbeam, which in cross-section is designed as a - preferably rectangular - hollow profile and is axially displaceable and non-rotatably arranged on the associated crossbeam.

Such an arrangement allows the frames to be replaced on the same crossbar; all that is required is to remove the displaceable beam piece from the crossbar and then to re-apply it; the entire construction of the crossbeam and the beam sections attached to it, including the castors and their brackets, remain unchanged. If the crossbeam is longer than the slid on the crossbeam of the frame, it can be moved across the crossbeams to the direction of travel of the scaffolding in order to create an optimal distance of the scaffolding from the processed structure; it is expedient if the crossbeams are axially lockable on the associated crossbeams.

The footprint of the scaffolding can be increased considerably if the castors are each attached to a widening cross-member, which is mounted on the associated bar section, displaceable parallel to the axis. The casters are advantageously held on the widening traverses in that a vertical piece of pipe is fastened at the outer ends thereof, in which a piece connected to a bearing of the associated castor, vertical pivot axially locked and radially lockable. The arrangement can be such that the radial mobility of the pivot is prevented in the long run and / or there is a braking and lockable turning possibility directly on the castor. The structural details of the castors are otherwise unaffected by the invention and are largely variable in accordance with existing regulations.

In particular, it is particularly advantageous if the rigidly fastened beam piece is welded to the crossbar and / or the axially displaceably fastened beam piece can be connected to the crossbar by means of a screw connection; In this case, the full length of the crossbeams is available for the crossbeams that can be moved thereon if the crossbeams are provided with a slot-shaped recess which surrounds the screw heads of the screw connection, which is therefore effective when the crossbeam in question also covers that area of the crossbeam , which is used to fasten the detachable bar section.

A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a short vertical holding frame is attached below the crossbeams for a bottom covering platform located near the ground. In this way, two contradictory requirements for a mobile scaffolding of the type defined at the outset can be met: on the one hand, there should be enough space for the castors and their suspension so that the required cross members must have a certain and not too low height above the ground , and on the other hand, it is advantageous if the first covering platform is arranged as close as possible to the ground in order to facilitate entry. It is understood that the Arrangement is best made so that the crossbars are inserted into the grid of the crossbars, especially if they are also used as ladder rungs.

The invention can be used in a particularly wide variety if the two crossbeams are dimensioned such that at least two crossbeams with the associated frames can be provided on them, the depth of the scaffolding in this way at least doubling in this way with otherwise constant frames, covering platforms and other components. The advantages of the invention are particularly impressive here because a single version of scaffolding equipped in this way can be converted for many different construction tasks with little effort and there is no need to keep several complete systems available on one construction site instead.

Finally, the arrangement according to the invention allows the stability of such a scaffolding to be increased considerably by providing brackets which can be attached to the frame to enlarge the footprint with feet which may be height-adjustable.

Overall, a portable scaffolding in the embodiment according to the invention is very versatile and adaptable to a variety of different conditions on site with little effort; nevertheless, it is stable and dimensionally stable. The components used - in contrast to the mobile scaffolding that has been in use for a long time - are essentially the same as in the case of stationary scaffolding, so that the production and storage of these parts can be rationalized to a far greater extent than is known from the prior art is.

A mobile scaffolding according to the invention consists, according to FIG. 1, first of all of a system of vertical frames 1 consisting of parallel stands 11 which can be connected to one another, for example by inserting bolts (12) at their (upper) ends, onto which the (Lower) ends of the next higher stand 11 can be placed if they consist of (circular cylindrical) tubes as usual. The vertical frames 1 are connected to one another by horizontal covering platforms 2 which rest on crossbars 13 and are locked to them in a suitable manner. The topping platforms 2 are equipped with steps 21 apart from a lower topping stage 2a, which can also be closed by means of a flap if necessary. The entrances 21 make it possible to use the crossbars 13 welded in a narrow pitch R between the uprights 11 as ladder rungs and to dispense with separate stairs.

The scaffolding is sufficiently stiffened by means of diagonal longitudinal struts 3; Of course, cross braces can also be provided, but here because the dense consequence of the welded crossbar 13 are not required. The longitudinal struts 3 are partly fastened to the crossbars 13, but partly also connected to short holding brackets 14, which are appropriately profiled exactly like the crossbars 13 and are welded to the uprights 11 between them.

For safety reasons, the covering platforms 2 serving as working platforms are surrounded by railing spars 15a, in some cases also by intermediate spars 15b; the covering platforms 2 can be delimited in the foot region by longitudinal and transverse rims 22.

A large increase in the footprint during use of the scaffolding can be achieved if 1 frame 4 are attached to the frame, which rest on the ground with height-adjustable feet 41. In Fig. 1, four brackets 4 have been grown diagonally on the lower frame 1; but it is quite possible that fewer booms 4 are used.

This also depends, among other things, on the design of the undercarriage, which is formed here by four casters 5. The casters 5 essentially allow the scaffolding to be moved in its longitudinal direction T (FIG. 2) and are mounted with a bearing 52 in a vertical pipe section 16 by means of a pivot 51. The pivot 51 is formed vertically in the pipe section 16 and can be locked against rotation so that the axes of the castors 5 are then aligned transversely in the longitudinal direction T and the scaffolding can only be moved in this longitudinal direction T.

At the height of the pipe sections 16, the crossbars 13 required there in the frame 1 are replaced by a crossbar 17, as can best be seen in FIG. 2, on the underside of which a short vertical holding frame 1a is attached and is welded to the crossbar 17 with its uprights 11a; this is used with crossbars 13a to hold the covering platform 2a, which can be arranged just above the ground in this way, allows easy entry and also makes a significant contribution to the overall rigidity of the scaffolding.

The crossbeam 17 is designed in cross section as a (high) rectangular hollow profile which can be pushed onto a cross beam 18 which is also (high) rectangular in cross section. At least on their two front ends 18a (but generally continuously), edge regions 18b (just like the crossbeam 17 and correspondingly smaller) are each designed as (high) rectangular hollow profile pieces, into which (rectangular) beam pieces 19a or 19b can be inserted ( 3 to 5). The beam piece 19a is rigidly attached to the crossbar 18 and not easily detachable; on the other hand, the other beam piece 19b is only axially locked in the associated hollow profile piece by means of a screw connection 20. If the crossbar 17 is to be exchanged for another (or several others), then it is sufficient to loosen the screw connection 20. The crossbeams 17 are provided with slot-shaped recesses 17a in such a way that they can also grip over approximately protruding screw heads of the screw connections 20, so that the crossbeams 18 are available in full length for the orientation of the crossbeams 17.

The beam pieces 19a, 19b can be connected directly and rigidly to the pipe pieces 16; in general, however, between these two components, an axially parallel widening traverse is interposed to the crossbeam 18, which is telescopically displaceable on the respective beam piece 19a, 19b and fastened to the associated tube piece 16; the details are not in the drawing shown; they correspond to the known state of the art and are familiar to the person skilled in the art.

While a single crossbeam 17 is applied in FIG. 3, which only requires a part of the crossbeam 18 for storage and is therefore displaceable on it, so that the rest of the scaffolding can be displaced to a certain extent while the "chassis" remains stationary, instead are in Fig. 5 two of these the frame 1 supporting crossbar 17 mounted one behind the other on the crossbar 18, now using their full length. Fig. 4 shows that instead of the two narrow frames, a single wider can be provided. It can be seen that the invention is not limited to these few examples, but the arrangement within the scope of the claims is variable to a much wider extent.
