Definitions
- the invention relates to a maneuvering cartridge according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a maneuvering cartridge is known from DE 41 28 050 A1, the bursting body of which is designed as a projectile replica and has a collar with a somewhat enlarged diameter at both ends, the front collar, which is provided with a bevel, being used with a run-up slope of a corresponding im Pipe insert to be used for the battle tube when the maneuver cartridge is inserted into it, whereby the bursting body is pushed into the propellant charge sleeve.
- the rear collar is picked up by the mouthpiece and is glued or choked to it, for example.
- the propellant charge shell is ejected together with the bursting body that is largely located therein.
- this maneuver cartridge is fired in violation of the regulations without the pipe insert intended for maneuvering purposes, the bursting body can leave the propellant charge shell and thus represents a considerable risk potential.
- the object of the invention is to provide a maneuvering cartridge according to the preamble of claim 1 which, when fired from a normal battle tube, does not represent a hazard potential.
- 1 to 4 show sections and successive steps in assembling a bursting body and a propellant charge sleeve to form a maneuvering cartridge.
- the maneuver cartridge comprises, as can be seen from FIG. 4, a propellant charge sleeve 1 which has a mouthpiece 2 and an oblique shoulder 3 for abutment on a corresponding shoulder of a cartridge chamber of a weapon barrel.
- the propellant charge sleeve 1 receives a burst body 4 essentially in the form of a projectile replica.
- the bursting body 4 comprises a cylindrical section 5, which has a collar 6 with a somewhat enlarged diameter at both ends.
- the rear collar 6 is received by the mouthpiece 2 and is glued or choked to it, for example.
- a circumferential groove 7 is provided on the rear-side collar 6, which is stepped in the axial direction, its rear-side area 8 having a larger diameter than its bow-side area 9.
- the groove 7 receives a slotted retaining ring 10, for example made of round spring steel, the inside diameter of which has play in relation to the diameter of the rear region 8 of the groove 7 and the outside diameter of which is larger than the outside diameter of the rear collar 6.
- the diameter and the length of the bow-side region 9 of the groove 7, on the other hand, is chosen so large that it can accommodate the retaining ring compressed on the outer diameter of the rear-side collar 6.
- the retaining ring 10 is expediently approximately twice as thick as the rear region 8 of the groove 7 is deep.
- the retaining ring 10 when the rupture body 4 is inserted into the mouthpiece 2, the retaining ring 10 is located in the rear region 8 of the groove 7 adjacent to its rear end and furthermore in engagement with the inside of the oblique shoulder 3 of the propellant charge sleeve 1, so that the retaining ring 10 also when the maneuver cartridge is fired by means of a normal battle tube without a maneuver tube insert, the bursting body 4 holds in engagement with the propellant charge sleeve, so that the bursting body 4 cannot leave the battle tube and can represent a potential hazard.
- the rear area 8 of the groove 7 has at least one axial length corresponding to twice the diameter of the ring cross section, so that the retaining ring 10 cannot reach the bow-side area 9 of the groove 7 during transport and falling loads, for example because of a slight shift in a drop test of the bursting body 4 can occur in the propellant charge sleeve.
- a tool 11 is used for assembly, which has a through bore 12 which has a shoulder 13 up to which the mouthpiece 2 can be inserted into the tool 11.
- the passage bore 12 is narrowed above the shoulder 13 to a diameter equal to that of the collar 6 or the inside diameter of the mouthpiece 2 and is provided with a funnel-shaped extension 14 on the inlet side.
- the bursting body 4 with the retaining ring 10 located in the area of the groove 7 is inserted into the through bore 12 from above.
- the retaining ring 10 is first pushed into the deeper region 9 of the groove 7 and then taken up by compressing the outer diameter of the collar 6 from the deeper region 9 of the groove 7, so that it with the collar 6 of the bursting body 4 through the mouthpiece 2 Propellant charge sleeve 1 can be pushed through.
- the retaining ring 10 has left the area of the mouthpiece 2 and is located in the area of the inclined shoulder 3, the retaining ring 10 expands again and falls in the groove 7 into the area 8 at the rear thereof.
- the bursting body 4 is then tightened by pulling it up, as a result of which the retaining ring 10 is clamped between the rear, shallower region 8 of the groove 7 and the oblique shoulder 3 of the propellant charge sleeve 1.

Description
The invention relates to a maneuvering cartridge according to the preamble of
Such a maneuvering cartridge is known from DE 41 28 050 A1, the bursting body of which is designed as a projectile replica and has a collar with a somewhat enlarged diameter at both ends, the front collar, which is provided with a bevel, being used with a run-up slope of a corresponding im Pipe insert to be used for the battle tube when the maneuver cartridge is inserted into it, whereby the bursting body is pushed into the propellant charge sleeve. The rear collar is picked up by the mouthpiece and is glued or choked to it, for example. After firing, the propellant charge shell is ejected together with the bursting body that is largely located therein. However, if this maneuver cartridge is fired in violation of the regulations without the pipe insert intended for maneuvering purposes, the bursting body can leave the propellant charge shell and thus represents a considerable risk potential.
The object of the invention is to provide a maneuvering cartridge according to the preamble of
This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing part of
Further refinements of the invention can be found in the following description and the subclaims.
The invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the accompanying figures.
Fig. 1 bis 4 zeigen ausschnittweise und im Schnitt aufeinander folgende Schritte beim Montieren eines Berstkörpers und einer Treibladungshülse zu einer Manöverpatrone.1 to 4 show sections and successive steps in assembling a bursting body and a propellant charge sleeve to form a maneuvering cartridge.
The maneuver cartridge comprises, as can be seen from FIG. 4, a
The
In this way, when the rupture body 4 is inserted into the
The
The bursting body 4 with the
The bursting body 4 is then tightened by pulling it up, as a result of which the
This results in a simple, inexpensive assembly of the maneuvering cartridge.
