  3. Conveying apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the actuating member (62), which preferably has an opening guide, is designed such that it can be removed or changed over.
  4. Conveying apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the directing member (38) has a connecting rod (90) which, at one end, is connected to the first clamping jaw (48) and, at the other end, is articulated on a control lever (84'); the control lever (84') and the carrying arm (36) are mounted on the carrying element (34) on pins (80, 80') which run at least approximately at right angles to the direction of circulation (U); and the control device (60) has two control elements (56, 58), preferably guide paths, which run along the circulatory path (U) and interact with a follow-on member (44) which is connected to the carrying arm (36) and a follow-on member (52) which is connected to the directing member (38).
  5. Conveying apparatus according to Claim 4, characterized in that the closing force which acts on the clamping jaws (48, 50) is produced by a spring (94) which is arranged in the direction of the connecting rod (90) and is supported, by one end, on the connecting rod (90) and, by its other end, on a drawing element (116) connected to the second clamping jaw (50).
  6. Conveying apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that, at its free end, the second clamping jaw (50) has a preferably roller-like pressure-exerting element (104) in order to force the product (16') against an abutment, preferably a wall element (24) of the processing machine (20), and to open the clamp (12) for the purpose of releasing the product (16').
  7. Conveying apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the carrying elements (34) are arranged on a carrier wheel (28), which is driven in rotation, such that the circulatory path of the carrying element (34) is circular.
  8. Installation for processing printed products, having a processing machine (20) for the printed products (27) and a conveying apparatus (10) for feeding sheet-like products (16') to the processing machine (20), the conveying apparatus (10) being intended, by way of its clamps (12), for gripping a product (16') each time a clamp passes a delivery location (14), for transporting said product to a transfer region (18) and for discharging it there to the processing machine (20), characterized in that the conveying apparatus (10) is designed according to one of Claims 1 to 7.
  9. Installation according to Claim 8, characterized in that the processing machine (20) has wall elements (24) which are driven in circulation, are spaced apart one behind the other in the movement direction (D), are arranged transversely with respect to the movement direction, and form saddle-like rests (26) on which the printed products (27) can be deposited in a straddling manner, and/or pocket-like receiving parts (142) into which the printed products (27) can be introduced, the movement direction (D) of the wall elements (24) is approximately the same, in the transfer region (18), as the direction of circulation (U), and the control device (60) controls the carrying arms (36) and directing members (38) such that the clamp mouth (46), formed by the clamping jaws (48, 50), of the clamps (12) is pivoted, in the transfer region (18), at least approximately in the direction of the corresponding wall elements (24).
  10. Installation according to Claim 9, characterized in that the products (16') have folded printed sheets (16), in particular inserts which are to be bound in, and the clamps (12) are intended for grasping, at the delivery location (14), in each case one printed sheet (16) at the fold (66) thereof and, as seen in the direction of circulation U, for transporting said printed sheet to the transfer region (18) with the edge (68), located opposite the fold (66), in front; there is arranged at the start of the transfer region (18) an opening unit (70) which is intended for retaining in each case one part (72) of the printed sheet (16) temporarily and for raising this part off from the other part (74) of the printed sheet (16), with the result that in each case one wall element (24) can move in between the parts (72, 74) of the printed sheet (16) which have been raised off from one another; and there is arranged in the end section of the transfer region (18) an actuating member (62) which interacts with the opening members (126) and is intended for opening the clamps (12), this actuating member being provided in order to release the printed sheets (16) such that the latter can come to bear on the rests (26) of the wall elements (24) in a straddling manner.
