Definitions
- the invention relates to a side door consisting of a plurality of individual elements arranged one above the other, which are framed in a frame, the individual elements having an outside, preferably provided with ornaments or the like, and an inside facing an interior of a building, preferably a garage.
- Such side doors are doors which are arranged next to a garage door and which allow entry into the garage without opening the garage door.
- a garage door consists of a multiplicity of individual elements, which are arranged both one above the other and next to one another, whereby adjacent rows of individual elements are connected to one another in an articulated manner, so that the garage door can be moved, for example, via an electric drive along a guide rail in order to to be able to be transferred from a closed state into an open state.
- So-called cassettes made of wood, plastic or metal can be used as individual elements, which have beads in the area of the gate in order to achieve sufficient strength of the individual cassettes as well as of the entire gate.
- Such a sash frame must be very torsionally rigid, since wedging of the inserted cassettes is ineffective for the sash frame due to their instability. Because of this requirement, it is not possible in the prior art for a side door to be formed which, with the door height corresponding to the door height, enables the cassettes to be arranged evenly in the gate and door, the cassettes, the beads or the gate members being aligned perfectly match. In terms of appearance, an approximately 80 mm wide aluminum profile running around on three sides and an approximately 180 mm wide aluminum profile become visible in a side door according to the prior art. This aluminum profile thus covers essential parts of the cassettes or requires the introduction of a transition element between the aluminum profile serving as a base and the first individual elements that match the cassettes of the door. At this base height, there is no longer any need to fill panels with cassettes while aligning cassettes with the door leaf.
- the object of the invention is to create a side door which, on the face side, corresponds to a door leaf in such a way that the cassettes of the door leaf and the door, in particular the beads, are designed so that they are aligned horizontally, so that When the gate is closed and the door is closed, the door and side door are uniformly designed, the generic side door being structurally simple and thus inexpensive to manufacture.
- the frame consists of essentially U-shaped profile strips, that the profile strips are attached at least to the two vertically running side edges of the individual elements and that the U -shaped- formed profile strips have two legs running essentially parallel to one another and a web arranged essentially at right angles to the leg, the leg resting on the outside of the individual elements being shorter than the leg lying on the inside of the individual elements.
- the individual elements are consequently connected to one another by two profiled strips which are essentially U-shaped, the profiled strips being a long one lying on the inside of the individual elements and a short one on the outside of the inlets has individual elements lying on the legs.
- the web connecting the two legs therefore lies on the side edges of the individual elements.
- a profile strip is attached to the upper, horizontally running side edge of the upper individual element.
- the side door according to the invention thus has on each of its three sides a profile strip of the type described above, which comprises the individual elements.
- the profile strips are preferably butt-shaped and, according to a further feature of the invention, are preferably made of galvanized steel. Such a selection of materials offers the necessary rigidity for a side door constructed in this way.
- the individual elements are preferably connected to the profile strips by riveting, since this connection is simple and inexpensive. is feasible. However, it is also possible to glue or screw the profile strips to the individual elements. Furthermore, combinations of the connection options mentioned above are conceivable, namely in such a way that the profile strips are glued and riveted or screwed to the individual elements.
- the profile strips which are preferably made of galvanized steel
- the profile strips are covered with preferably anodized aluminum covers which accommodate the door seal.
- a preferably black anodized aluminum profile is arranged on the underside of the lowermost individual element.
- This aluminum profile is visually identical to the floor seal of the garage door or the like, so that this also achieves a further increase in the correspondence between the door and the side door.
- the lateral profile strips overlap the aluminum profile and are preferably screwed to it. This configuration creates a further increase in the stability of the side door according to the invention, it being particularly advantageous if the aluminum profile is covered by the aluminum covers mounted on the profile strips.
- a side door designed according to the invention is usually hinged behind the opening and opens inwards, so that only a very narrow aluminum profile is visible from the side.
- the view is thus essentially determined by the individual elements, namely the cassettes.
- the side door it is also possible to design the side door to open outwards, if necessary, in any case the alignment of the cassettes or beads and thus also the alignment of the gates.
- the outer frame in the side door opening outwards is in the Building opening installed.
- the hinge straps lie on the outside and a three-sided, all-round aluminum profile consisting of a frame and sash is then visible with a certain width.

- FIG. 1 shows the view of a gate 1 and a side door 2, each consisting of individual elements 3, the individual elements 3 having an outer side 4 which are provided with a rectangular ornament.
- the individual elements 3 of the gate 1 are articulated to one another via joints 5.
- the gate 1 can be moved in a simple manner along guide rails (not shown) between an open position and the closed position shown in FIG.
- this is a Electric motor provided that moves the gate 1 along the guide rail, not shown.
- a rubber floor seal 6 is fastened, with which the gate 1 rests on the floor 7 in the closed state, so that the interior of the structure (not shown in FIG. 1) is sealed.
- the side door 2 also consists of the individual elements 3 as explained above. These individual elements 3 are enclosed in a frame, which will be described below. As can be seen in particular from Figure 1 and Figure 2, the individual elements of the gate 1 and the side door 2 are arranged such that the individual elements 3 of the gate 1 and the side door 2 are aligned in the area of their beads and cassettes. In this way, the division of the side door 2 corresponds to the division of the door leaf of the gate 1. In particular, FIG.
- the individual elements 3 of the side door 2 are gripped by a profile strip 8.
- the inward opening side door 2 also has a frame 9, of which only the upper frame part is shown in Figure 2, which is attached to the masonry 10.
- FIG. 3 The construction of the side door 2 is explained below with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a side door consisting of a plurality of individual elements arranged one above the other, which are framed in a frame, the individual elements having an outside, preferably provided with ornaments or the like, and an inside facing an interior of a building, preferably a garage.
Such side doors are doors which are arranged next to a garage door and which allow entry into the garage without opening the garage door. Such a garage door consists of a multiplicity of individual elements, which are arranged both one above the other and next to one another, whereby adjacent rows of individual elements are connected to one another in an articulated manner, so that the garage door can be moved, for example, via an electric drive along a guide rail in order to to be able to be transferred from a closed state into an open state. So-called cassettes made of wood, plastic or metal can be used as individual elements, which have beads in the area of the gate in order to achieve sufficient strength of the individual cassettes as well as of the entire gate. With such combinations of a garage door or the like and a side door, there is a requirement that the division of the garage door and the side door into individual cassettes should be as identical as possible. Here, it has proven to be particularly difficult to create a side door that has the necessary strength and is at the same time divided into the same elements as the garage door or the like. In the prior art, such side doors consist of a casement and a frame, the casement and frame consisting of an aluminum tubular profile. This sash is assembled using corner connectors or screws in screw channels. The filling is then placed in the casement and clamped in place with aluminum glass retaining strips. Such a sash frame must be very torsionally rigid, since wedging of the inserted cassettes is ineffective for the sash frame due to their instability.
Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is to create a side door which, on the face side, corresponds to a door leaf in such a way that the cassettes of the door leaf and the door, in particular the beads, are designed so that they are aligned horizontally, so that When the gate is closed and the door is closed, the door and side door are uniformly designed, the generic side door being structurally simple and thus inexpensive to manufacture.
The solution to this problem provides for a generic side door that the frame consists of essentially U-shaped profile strips, that the profile strips are attached at least to the two vertically running side edges of the individual elements and that the U -shaped- formed profile strips have two legs running essentially parallel to one another and a web arranged essentially at right angles to the leg, the leg resting on the outside of the individual elements being shorter than the leg lying on the inside of the individual elements.
In a side door designed according to this teaching, the individual elements are consequently connected to one another by two profiled strips which are essentially U-shaped, the profiled strips being a long one lying on the inside of the individual elements and a short one on the outside of the inlets has individual elements lying on the legs. The web connecting the two legs therefore lies on the side edges of the individual elements. By designing the legs with different lengths, sufficient stability of the side door is achieved on the one hand by connecting the individual elements to the longer leg and, on the other hand, the greatest possible visible area is possible, which allows the arrangement of individual elements in the form of cassettes of the type enables them to match a garage door or the like arranged next to them and thus align the cassettes, in particular their beads. In the side door according to the invention, there is therefore no need for massive tubular profiles, between which the cassettes in the prior art are arranged.
To increase the stability, according to a further feature of the invention it is provided that a profile strip is attached to the upper, horizontally running side edge of the upper individual element. The side door according to the invention thus has on each of its three sides a profile strip of the type described above, which comprises the individual elements. The profile strips are preferably butt-shaped and, according to a further feature of the invention, are preferably made of galvanized steel. Such a selection of materials offers the necessary rigidity for a side door constructed in this way.
The individual elements are preferably connected to the profile strips by riveting, since this connection is simple and inexpensive. is feasible. However, it is also possible to glue or screw the profile strips to the individual elements. Furthermore, combinations of the connection options mentioned above are conceivable, namely in such a way that the profile strips are glued and riveted or screwed to the individual elements.
For cladding the profile strips, which are preferably made of galvanized steel, it is provided according to a further feature of the invention that the profile strips are covered with preferably anodized aluminum covers which accommodate the door seal. With this configuration, a more pleasing appearance of the side door is achieved in a simple manner and at the same time a device for fastening the door seal is created.
It is further provided in a side door according to the invention that a preferably black anodized aluminum profile is arranged on the underside of the lowermost individual element. This aluminum profile is visually identical to the floor seal of the garage door or the like, so that this also achieves a further increase in the correspondence between the door and the side door. Finally, it is provided in the invention that the lateral profile strips overlap the aluminum profile and are preferably screwed to it. This configuration creates a further increase in the stability of the side door according to the invention, it being particularly advantageous if the aluminum profile is covered by the aluminum covers mounted on the profile strips.
A side door designed according to the invention is usually hinged behind the opening and opens inwards, so that only a very narrow aluminum profile is visible from the side. The view is thus essentially determined by the individual elements, namely the cassettes. In this way, a filling of the side door that is visually identical to the door view becomes completely visible. However, it is also possible to design the side door to open outwards, if necessary, in any case the alignment of the cassettes or beads and thus also the alignment of the gates. Deviating from the side door opening inwards, the outer frame in the side door opening outwards is in the Building opening installed. In this case, the hinge straps lie on the outside and a three-sided, all-round aluminum profile consisting of a frame and sash is then visible with a certain width.
In den Zeichnungen zeigen:In the following an embodiment is described and explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings for further explanation and for a better understanding of the invention. The individual elements 3 of the gate 1 are articulated to one another via joints 5. In this way, the gate 1 can be moved in a simple manner along guide rails (not shown) between an open position and the closed position shown in FIG. For example, this is a Electric motor provided that moves the gate 1 along the guide rail, not shown. On the underside of the gate 1, a rubber floor seal 6 is fastened, with which the gate 1 rests on the floor 7 in the closed state, so that the interior of the structure (not shown in FIG. 1) is sealed.
The side door 2 also consists of the individual elements 3 as explained above. 2, in which the door 2 on the right and the gate 1 on the left are shown in a side view, it can be seen that the transitions between the individual elements 3 of the gate 1 and the side door 2 are arranged at exactly the same height when the gate 1 is closed , so that a uniform view of the gate 1 and the side door 2 is given.
As can be seen from the illustration of the side door in FIG. 2, the individual elements 3 of the side door 2 are gripped by a profile strip 8. The inward opening side door 2 also has a frame 9, of which only the upper frame part is shown in Figure 2, which is attached to the masonry 10.
The construction of the side door 2 is explained below with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6. For this purpose, part of the side door 2 is shown in a sectional side view in FIG. 3, in which the upper part of the side door 2 can be seen. At the upper end of the side door 2 there is also a profile strip 11, which is U-shaped in cross section and has a first, longer leg 12 which rests on the inside 13 of the uppermost individual element 3 of the side door 2. For this longer leg 12, the profile strip 11 has a second leg 14, which rests on the outside 4 of the uppermost individual element 3 and runs parallel, kel 12 is significantly shorter. The legs 12 and 14 are connected to a web 15 which is arranged at right angles to the legs 12 and 14 and which lies on the upper narrow side of the uppermost individual element 3 of the side door 2. The profile strip 11 is connected to the individual element 3 of the secondary door 2 via rivets 16.
An aluminum profile cover 19, which is also U-shaped in cross section, is placed on the steel profile bar 11, which overlaps the longer leg 12 with one leg and the shorter leg 14 of the profiled bar 11 with its other leg and thus the rivets 16, with which the profile bar 11 is attached to the individual element 3 covered. The aluminum profile cover 19 is formed on the outside 4 of the individual element 3 with an undercut recess 20, in which a seal 21 is inserted. Furthermore, the aluminum profile cover 19 has a contact strip 22 which bears against the frame 9 with the interposition of a seal 23. Finally, it can be seen from the figure that the frame 9 has at its end facing the outside 4 a further seal 24 which comes into contact with the shorter leg of the aluminum profile cover 19 when the side door 2 is closed.
Demzufolge wird durch das Abdeckprofil 30 an der Außenseite 4 der Nebentür 2 eine zur Bodendichtung 6 des Tores 1 ansichts¬ gleiche Optik geschaffen.FIG. 4 shows a sectional side view of the lower part of the side door 2, in which it can be seen that on the lower edge of the lowermost individual element 3 there is an aluminum profile 25 of T-shaped design in cross section into a corresponding opening in the lowermost individual element 3 the side door 2 is inserted. On its side facing the floor 7, the aluminum profile 25 has an undercut recess 26 into which a door seal 27 is inserted, which corresponds to a door sill 28 and seals the secondary door 2 in the lower region. Here, the door sill 28 is connected to a profile 29, which is embedded in the floor 7. The aluminum profile 25, the width of which essentially corresponds to the material thickness of the individual element 3, is covered on both sides of the individual element 3 with cover profiles 30, so that on the one hand the cover profiles 30 increase the stability of the fastening between the aluminum Profile 25 and the lowest single element 3 the side door 2 and on the other hand a view corresponding to the gate 1 is achieved in the lower region. Accordingly, the cover profile 30 on the outside 4 of the side door 2 creates an appearance which is visually identical to the floor seal 6 of the door 1.
Finally, FIGS. 5 and 6 each show a sectional plan view of the side door 2, in which the edging of the individual elements 3 is shown on their vertically running side edges. It can be seen that the design of the vertical side edges corresponds to the design of the upper, horizontally running side edge of the side door 2 according to FIG. 3. Also, on the vertically extending side edges of the side door 2 consequently U-conveyor-shaped moldings 11 are arranged made of steel, which have a longer leg 12 and a shorter leg 14 and a leg 12 and 14 connecting the ridge 1 15 °. The profile strips 11 are also riveted in the area of the vertically running side edges of the side door 2 to the individual elements 3 via rivets 16. The overlapping of the profile strips 11 with the aluminum profile cover 19, which is also L-shaped and has a longer and a shorter leg, is likewise of identical design. In addition, the aluminum profile cover has the contact strip 22 which, with the interposition of a seal 23, bears against the frame 9 when the side door 2 is closed.
It can be seen from Figure 5 and Figure 6 that the frame 9 is connected to the masonry 10 of a building, not shown, with an L-shaped angle profile 31 and screws 32.
It can be seen here that a door handle known per se passes through the individual element 3 with a cross-sectionally square pin, on each of which a door handle 34 is rotatably arranged on both sides. A door plate 35 is arranged on each side between the door handles 34 and the side door 2, the door plate 35 arranged on the inside 13 of the side door 2 resting on the longer leg of the aluminum profile cover 19. In contrast, the opposite door panel 35 lies directly on the outside 4 of the individual element 3 on. Finally, the locking mechanism can be seen in FIG. 5 in a manner known per se.
FIG. 6 shows the side door 2 in a sectional plan view in the region of the door hinge. The door hinge consists of a plurality of door hinges 36 which have two hingedly connected levers 37 and 38, the lever 38 being firmly connected to the frame 9 and the lever 37 being firmly connected to the secondary door 2. For this purpose, the levers 37 and 38 have pins 39 and 40 which engage in corresponding openings in the frame 9 on the one hand and in the side door 2 on the other hand. It can be seen from FIG. 6 that the pin 40 of the lever 37 extends through the longer leg of the aluminum profile cover 19 and the longer leg 12 of the profile bar 11 for reasons of stability. It can also be seen from FIG. 6 that the aluminum profile cover 19 is screwed in this area to the web 15 and the narrow side of the individual element 3 of the side door 2 by means of a screw 41.
