Definitions
- the invention relates to a concealed device protection with a thin-walled protective hood, one end wall and an adjoining one, enclosing an interior Has peripheral wall, and a flush-mounted device, in particular a flush-mounted siphon or a floor drain, with a housing.
- a concealed device such as a concealed siphon or a floor drain
- a concealed device such as a concealed siphon or a floor drain
- it can not only be used for installation, but also for subsequent construction work, such as when applying a fine plaster or when applying of tiles, easily damage the built-in device.
- This can a subsequent replacement of the already installed flush-mounted device may be necessary is cumbersome and may require chiselling.
- flush-mounted box which is made up of two parts, one part of which is walled in is and a part protrudes as a cover from the wall after installation in the wall to install.
- the cover is supported on the walled part of the flush-mounted box from.
- the flush-mounted installation box there is a basic body or a fitting provided that the or the establishment of the connection between the house lines and serves the sanitary fittings to be installed in the final expansion of the building. After this The wall is sawn off along the tiling and the fitting to be attached attached to the base body.
- the invention aims at avoiding these disadvantages and difficulties and presents itself the task of providing protection for a flush-mounted device, the protection being the Flush-mounted device reliably protected from damage when walling in and then in can be easily removed at least so far that it no longer bothers.
- the end wall and the peripheral wall preferably have a maximum thickness of 2 mm, in particular a thickness between 0.5 and 1.5 mm, which means that only a little material for the Protective hood is required so that it can be produced inexpensively.
- An advantageous manufacturing process for the protective hood according to the invention is that Injection molding process.
- the peripheral wall can expediently be walled in with its free edge, which advantageously has one has outwardly projecting bead. As a result, the walled-in part of the Protective hood firmly anchored in the building so that the protective hood is not accidentally can be deducted.
- the free edge is expedient Supported peripheral wall on the flush-mounted device. This also holds the protective hood given on the flush-mounted device even if this is not yet walled in, so that the Protective hood can also act as a transport protection.
- the protective hood with its free edge is expediently pushed onto the flush-mounted device.
- the free one is advantageous Edge of the peripheral wall connected to the flush-mounted device by means of a snap connection.
- circumferential wall of the protective hood fits into the building walled-in part and a projecting over the surface of the building Has peripheral wall part, at least the one projecting from the building expediently Circumferential wall part with ribs parallel to one another and grooves lying between the ribs is provided, which is approximately parallel to the surface of the building or the front wall of the Extend protective cover.
- the grooves make it easy to separate the part of the protective hood that is not required Finish the structure by placing the protective hood along a groove with the knife is cut through.
- the ribs and grooves are only in the area arranged, which may protrude from the building as a maximum, which makes it immediately recognizable whether that Flush-mounted device is walled in sufficiently deep. If the installation depth was insufficient, one would be outside smooth part of the peripheral wall visible.
- the wall thickness at the base of the groove is a maximum of 1 mm, preferably a maximum of 0.5 mm.
- a preferred embodiment is characterized in that the grooves of slot-shaped recesses that penetrate the peripheral wall are interrupted. This makes it possible to place a knife in a groove without the risk of injury.
- the recesses have a minimum length of 10 mm.
- the recesses of a groove to the recesses of an adjacent groove staggered.
- a particularly high rigidity of the protective hood can be achieved in that the The peripheral wall is provided on the inside with one or more stiffening ribs and that Furthermore, the end wall is provided with stiffening ribs, which are preferably star-shaped or extend crosswise over the front wall.
- the stiffening ribs can be bead-like or according to another Embodiment placed on the end wall and be integrally formed with this.
- the end wall has an outwardly protruding hat-shaped extension into which a part of the flush-mounted device protruding over the surface of the building, such as, for example a connecting pipe, can be used. This also ensures a particularly good hold of the Protective hood achieved on the flush-mounted device.
- the device is walled into the building, with part of the protective hood over the Protrudes the surface of the building, and after finishing the surface of the Building, such as making a plaster or attaching tiles that are above the surface part of the protective hood protruding from the structure, in particular with a knife is cut off.
- Fig. 1 of the drawing shows a vertical section through a in a wall-mounted siphon with a protective hood attached.
- Fig. 2 is an illustration of a View in the direction of arrow II of FIG. 1, but with a siphon not walled in.
- the embodiment shown in the drawing relates to a washing machine built-in siphon.
- the siphon 1 has a housing 2 made of plastic, in the interior of which 3 an odor barrier is installed. Waste water from the washing machine passes through Inlet nozzle 4, which is provided on the front side wall 5 of the housing 2, in the Sifon 1 and leaves it via an outlet nozzle 6. Sifon 1 has on the top 7 of the housing 2, a ventilation valve 8. To protect the ventilation valve 8 that is Housing 2 provided with a cover 9, which with the housing 2 of the siphon via a Snap connection 10 is connected.
- the housing 2 of the siphon 1 and the cover 9 extend at least in part into the interior 11 of one pushed onto the housing 2 or the cover 9 Protective hood 12.
- the protective hood 12 has an end wall 13 and an adjoining the latter
- the peripheral wall 14 forming the interior 11.
- Both the peripheral wall 14 and the End wall 13 are formed as thin as possible. They have a maximum thickness of 2 mm, preferably a thickness between 0.5 and 1.5 mm.
- the protective hood 12 is one-piece made of plastic, such as polypropylene or recycled plastic, by injection molding manufactured.
- part 14 'of the peripheral wall 14 of the protective hood 12 is in one Building - in the illustrated embodiment, a masonry wall 15 - walled
- the walled-in part 14 ' has a free edge 16 which faces outwards projecting bead 17 is provided.
- This bead 17 gives good anchoring of the Protective hood 12 in the masonry wall 15, so that accidental removal of the Protective hood 12 is not possible.
- the free edge 16 is on as well as the peripheral wall 14 the outer contour of the housing 2 of the siphon 1 and its cover 9 adapted so that the Protective hood sits tight on the outer contour of the housing 2 of the siphon 1 and its cover 9.
- Fig. 1 shows that the outwardly projecting part 14 "of the peripheral wall 14 of the protective cover 12th is provided with ribs 18 and with grooves 19 lying between the ribs 18, which overlap extend the entire circumference of the protective hood 12.
- the wall thickness at the bottom of the groove is maximum 1 mm, preferably maximum 0.5 mm.
- the protruding and ultimately not more needed part 14 of the protective hood 12 can be finished after finishing the masonry wall 15, in the illustrated embodiment after attaching the tiles 20, with a knife that is guided along a groove 19, easily separated.
- the grooves 19 have slot-shaped in the groove base, penetrating the peripheral wall 14 Recesses 21 on the insertion of a knife tip for the purpose of separating the not allow walled part 14 "of the protective hood 12 without the knife can slip off.
- the recesses 21 expediently have a minimum length of 10 mm on and are each offset from the recesses 21 of an adjacent groove 19, so that through the recesses 21 almost no weakening of the peripheral wall 14 of the Protective hood 12 is caused.
- the ribs 18 and grooves 19 are advantageous only in the part 14 "of the peripheral wall arranged, which may look out of the masonry wall 15 at most. This is instant recognizable whether the flush-mounted device is installed deep enough in the wall. With insufficient Installation depth would namely be a smooth-walled part 14 'of the peripheral wall 14 visible from the outside his; the part 14 "with ribs and grooves thus indicates the minimum installation depth.
- the peripheral wall 14 is provided on the inside with a plurality of stiffening ribs 22, which in Continuation of arranged on the end wall 13 stiffening ribs 23 are arranged protrude up to housing 2 of the siphon and support it.
- the stiffening ribs 23 arranged on the end face 13 run in a cross shape, etc. starting from a hat-like extension 24 of the end wall 13, which serves to over a the surface 25 of the building 15, that is to say over the surface 25 of the masonry wall 15, protruding part of the flush-mounted device, in the illustrated embodiment of the inlet connector 4 to record.
- This hat-like extension also enables 24 a particularly good hold of the protective hood 12.
- the stiffening ribs 22, 23 are on the Circumferential wall 14 or end wall 13 placed and made in one piece with these.
- the part 14 'of the peripheral wall 14 remaining in the masonry wall 15 forms one Lining for the masonry wall 15, so that an always clean, the siphon 1 receiving Space in the masonry wall 15 is ensured.
