Definitions
- the invention relates to a continuous process for bleaching a textile web and a corresponding machine system.
- a bleaching liquor which contains, for example, sodium hydroxide solution and peroxide and which acts in a damper on the fabric for a certain period of time, is applied to a textile fabric web consisting entirely or predominantly of cotton. Subsequently, the fabric is freed of the applied chemicals and the dissolved substances in an intensive wash and is then ready for the dyeing process.
- this standard method gives good whiteness and freedom from shells, but the hydrophilicity sometimes leaves something to be desired, which means that the web does not greedily accept the dyeing liquor.
- the hydrophilicity is determined by how much of the waxes and fats on the cotton fiber could be dissolved by the treatment with NaOH. If this solution is not completely complete and some of the waxes and fats remain on the web, the hydrophilicity is poor and the dyeing liquid is accordingly poorly accepted.
- the applied chemicals are not completely used up, but there is still a certain amount of residual chemicals on the goods when it enters the washing device.
- the washing device consists of several individual washing machines arranged one behind the other, which are designed, for example, as roller skids. Such a series of washing machines is operated in countercurrent for reasons of economy in the known embodiments, i.e. the fresh water is added at the end of the row and flows from one washing machine to the other in the direction of web travel, in order to be directed "into the channel" at the last washing machine in the direction of flow and first in the direction of web travel (DD-A-63454; DE-C-3119869 )
- the object of the invention is to improve the treatment result with regard to the hydrophilic properties of the web in a generic method or such a system.
- used washing liquor is not discharged immediately at the beginning of the washing machine route, but only at a later point in time in the direction of the web travel, namely at the boundary between the cocurrent section and the countercurrent section.
- the invention encompasses that the total amount of partial accumulation at the end of the countercurrent section used washing liquid is used at the beginning of the DC section, i.e. immediately after the damper. However, it is preferred to use only a subset of the total amount of washing liquid used in the counterflow section at the beginning of the cocurrent section.
- the combined effect of these measures is that the residual chemicals on the web are not rinsed off with a large supply of washing liquid and immediately drained off, but that the residual chemicals are only exposed to a reduced washing attack and have the opportunity to have an after-effect in the direct current section.
- the exposure time of the residual chemicals in particular the chemicals relevant for the solution of the waxes and fats, in particular the sodium hydroxide solution, is artificially extended so that the detachment of these waxes and fats is improved accordingly and good hydrophilic properties develop.
- Claims 3 and 4 reflect the apparatus configuration of the continuous system according to the invention.
- the fabric web 10 is first prewashed intensively and then provided with a bleaching liquor which can contain, for example, sodium hydroxide solution and peroxide.
- a bleaching liquor which can contain, for example, sodium hydroxide solution and peroxide.
- the thus loaded goods 10 then has a dwell time brought behind in a damper 1, the end region is shown on the left side of the drawing.
- a washing device, designated as a whole by 2 adjoins the damper.
- the material web 10 then passes through a sink 3 and a roller crusher 4 and is finally wound up into a dock 5.
- the washing device 2 consists in the exemplary embodiment of four washing machines 6, 7, 8, 9 connected in series in the direction of travel of the web 10, which are designed as so-called roller skids and in turn are each divided into four washing compartments, as is the case with the washing machine 6 by the reference numbers 6 1 , 62, 63 and 64 is indicated.
- the fresh water is fed via line 11 and a filter 11 'to a pump 13, which introduces it into the last washing machine 9 via a control valve 14 and a heat exchanger 15 at 16 at the very end of the row of washing machines 6, 7, 8, 9 .
- the fresh water forms at the bottom of the washing machines 6, 7, 8, 9 a washing liquor which flows in the washing machines 9 and 8 against the direction of the web 10 indicated by the arrows and in the manner shown in the drawing from the washing machine 9 into the washing machine 8 overflows to be drawn off via line 17 into an intermediate container 18 at the entrance of washing machine 8 (seen in the direction of travel of web 10), from which overflowing washing liquor flows via line 19 into heat exchanger 15 and from there into "channel” 20 reached.
- the washing liquor is heated in washing machines 6, 7, 8, 9 and has an increased temperature. The heat is transferred in the heat exchanger 15 to the fresh water added.
- Part of the washing liquor which has entered the intermediate container 18 is pumped through the pump 21 and the control valve 22 and the line 23 at the inlet 27 (in the running direction of the Material web 10 seen) of the washing machine 6, that is to say at a point immediately following the damper 1, entered and flows through the washing machine 6 and then through the washing machine 7 in order to either be discharged directly into the channel at its outlet 28 or via the line 24 through the Heat exchanger and then to enter channel 20.
- the web 10 therefore remains in the first washing machines 6, 7 in a washing liquor which has already been partially used up, flows in accordance with the running direction of the web 10 and only goes into the channel 20 at the outlet 28 of the washing machine 7.
- the web 10 is not immediately thoroughly rinsed out, but the bleaching liquor remaining on the web 10 has the opportunity to act.
- the intermediate section given by the washing machines 6, 7 there is a transition from a liquor ratio of approximately 1: 1 in the damper 1 to a liquor ratio of approximately 1: 2 to 1: 4, ie to a larger solution volume, which, however, the NaOH which has already been washed out still contains.
- the amount of wash liquor removed from the intermediate container 18 by the pump 21 is 10% to 50% of the wash liquor passed through the washing machines 8.9.
- the entire washing device 2 is thus subdivided into a direct current section 25 immediately following the damper 1 and a countercurrent section 26 adjoining the latter, as indicated by the large arrows.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a continuous process for bleaching a textile web and a corresponding machine system.
For bleaching, a bleaching liquor, which contains, for example, sodium hydroxide solution and peroxide and which acts in a damper on the fabric for a certain period of time, is applied to a textile fabric web consisting entirely or predominantly of cotton. Subsequently, the fabric is freed of the applied chemicals and the dissolved substances in an intensive wash and is then ready for the dyeing process.
In the known embodiments, this standard method gives good whiteness and freedom from shells, but the hydrophilicity sometimes leaves something to be desired, which means that the web does not greedily accept the dyeing liquor. The hydrophilicity is determined by how much of the waxes and fats on the cotton fiber could be dissolved by the treatment with NaOH. If this solution is not completely complete and some of the waxes and fats remain on the web, the hydrophilicity is poor and the dyeing liquid is accordingly poorly accepted.
At the end of their way through the damper, the applied chemicals are not completely used up, but there is still a certain amount of residual chemicals on the goods when it enters the washing device.
The washing device consists of several individual washing machines arranged one behind the other, which are designed, for example, as roller skids.
In relation to the bleaching system, it was the case that the web at the end of the steamer was confronted with a large amount of liquid which was immediately diverted in the first washing machine. As a result, the residual chemicals on the web were rinsed off and removed at the beginning.
The object of the invention is to improve the treatment result with regard to the hydrophilic properties of the web in a generic method or such a system.
This object is achieved in its procedural aspect in the manner set out in
By guiding the washing liquor in cocurrent, it is first achieved that used washing liquor is not discharged immediately at the beginning of the washing machine route, but only at a later point in time in the direction of the web travel, namely at the boundary between the cocurrent section and the countercurrent section. The invention encompasses that the total amount of partial accumulation at the end of the countercurrent section used washing liquid is used at the beginning of the DC section, i.e. immediately after the damper. However, it is preferred to use only a subset of the total amount of washing liquid used in the counterflow section at the beginning of the cocurrent section. The combined effect of these measures is that the residual chemicals on the web are not rinsed off with a large supply of washing liquid and immediately drained off, but that the residual chemicals are only exposed to a reduced washing attack and have the opportunity to have an after-effect in the direct current section. Due to the inventive design of the washing device consisting of several washing machines, the exposure time of the residual chemicals, in particular the chemicals relevant for the solution of the waxes and fats, in particular the sodium hydroxide solution, is artificially extended so that the detachment of these waxes and fats is improved accordingly and good hydrophilic properties develop. In many cases, this means that the previously usual brewing stage with NaOH, which precedes the bleaching stage with peroxide, can be dispensed with and real one-stage bleaching can be achieved by applying NaOH and peroxide together with possibly a slightly higher NaOH concentration and thus moving the fabric through the damper . The saving of the brewing stage after which the NaOH had to be washed out again, which is mostly possible according to the invention by the mere design of the washing process, also represents an important advantage from the point of view of reducing the environmental impact. A certain amount of NaOH is also used in the invention Solution of the waxes and fats required and placed together with the peroxide in a treatment liquor, but NaOH is also present in the bleaching liquor if there is a brewing stage. The total exposure to NaOH is, however, at one possible elimination of the brewing level is lower. The bleaching with NaOH and peroxide corresponds to the preferred application of the invention, but this is not restricted to this.
From the scripture "Melliand Textile Reports" 61 (1980), pages 58 to 261, in particular page 260 under the heading "Speed neutrality", point 2., it can already be seen that an intermediate section is activated during continuous bleaching before the actual dilution wash should change from the liquor ratio of about 1: 1 to a larger volume of solution, which also contains the washed-out NaOH. However, it cannot be seen from the scripture how this is to be done concretely.
If only a subset of the washing liquor of the countercurrent section is used for washing in the cocurrent section, this can be dimensioned according to
So it is already partially used washing liquor containing the washed out residual chemicals, which is used in the DC section, so that the web is treated to a certain extent "in its own juice" and the remaining chemicals contained in the washing liquor, which influence the hydrophilicity, have the opportunity for further action have the track after leaving the damper.
In the drawing, the part of a continuous bleaching plant that is relevant to the invention is schematically shown in a side view.
The
The
The fresh water is fed via
Part of the washing liquor which has entered the
The amount of wash liquor removed from the
While the washing liquor is passed through in the
The
