Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cover element of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a cover of the type mentioned that is useful for wastewater technology and easy to remove even after a long period of use and sticking in the seat for a knowledgeable.
  • the lifting element is structurally integrated into the cover element so that it does not appear in the normal cover position and is only activated by a rotary movement when the cover element is to be removed.
  • the lifting element generates a force between the base body and the seat, which raises at least one side of the base body to such an extent that the cover element can be easily removed.
  • the push-off ramp gradually comes into effect when the lifting element rotates, which not only creates a sufficiently large stroke for the cover element, but also gradually and gently builds up the force pushing up the cover element.
  • the lifting element By means of the rotary movement of the lifting element, relatively large forces can be exerted on the support, which are also capable of lifting a fixed cover element that could hardly be lifted by hand or with a tool alone.
  • the lifting element does not need to be particularly clearly highlighted from the outside and requires a turning tool for its actuation, so that people who are not familiar with the subject, vandals or children do not know how the covering element can be easily removed.
  • the lifting element does not interfere. It is fixed in the base body in such a way that it can only be rotated, but does not experience any axial displacement. The lifting force can therefore develop well.
  • the turning insert has to be rotated about an axis perpendicular to the base body by means of a turning tool.
  • the turning tool is inserted from above, whereby only the knowledgeable person knows which turning tool he has to start where and in which direction he has to turn in order to lift the basic body.
  • the push-off ramp on the support comes into effect to raise the base body.
  • the Axial securing of the rotary insert has the task of transferring the force occurring when pushing up from the push-off ramp into the base body and, in principle, of ensuring that the rotary insert does not fall out of the cover element.
  • the embodiment according to claim 3 is important because a gradually rising screw with a relatively low frictional resistance generates a high force and a sufficient stroke.
  • the embodiment according to claim 4 is also technically simple and effective.
  • the rib can also withstand high loads and does not wear off even after repeated actuation.
  • the embodiment according to claim 5 is also expedient because a relatively short rotary movement is sufficient for lifting the base body.
  • the rib can also extend over the entire circumference, so that the necessary force and the required lifting height can be achieved by an almost 360 ° rotation of the turning insert, whereby the force to be applied with the turning tool can be relatively low .
  • the end surface which is normally set back behind the underside, has the advantage that the contact pressure of the cover element does not act on the rotary insert, so that it can initially be rotated relatively easily before the push-off ramp takes effect.
  • the locking part transmits these forces directly into the base body. Since it is preferably a metal part that is supported on a plastic layer, it can be easily rotated.
  • the rotation limit has the advantage that the turning insert is not inadvertently turned too far or too little.
  • the rotary insert has an additional function in this configuration because it also serves as a drive element for a lifting lock.
  • the cutting edge is namely pressed into the seat wall when the cover element is properly inserted into the seat and is no longer to be lifted out. Only when the cover element is to be raised arbitrarily is the cutting edge first rotated out of the seat wall by the rotation of the rotating insert and then the push-off ramp is brought into effect in order to raise the base body.
  • This double function of the rotary insert on the one hand secures the cover element against willful or unwanted but incorrect lifting out. On the other hand, if lifting is necessary, lifting it out is considerably simplified.
  • the push-off ramp can be brought into effect well in the edge region of the base body, because the base body generally adheres firmly there.
  • Several such rotary inserts distributed in the circumferential direction enable the entire base body to be easily lifted out, even if it is large and heavy or adheres firmly.
  • Such a cover element usually has a circumferential edge nose which has to shield a seal from the top and keeps the circumferential gap between the seat and the cover element as narrow as possible. This circumferential gap is too small to be able to intervene with a tool if the cover element has to be removed. It is therefore important that the Push-off ramp can raise the base body so far that it can be gripped under the nose with a tool and the cover element can be easily lifted out.
  • a shaft cover is indicated in section in FIG. 1, the upper end of a shaft S forming a seat 1 for a cover element D which is inserted in the recessed seat 1 in such a way that its upper side 6 is approximately flush with the upper side of the shaft S. .
  • at least one lifting element T is arranged such that it can be rotated about a vertical axis A and cannot be lost.
  • the lifting element T has the primary task of arbitrarily lifting the covering element D at least in the area of the lifting element T so that the covering element D can be removed from its seat 1.
  • the lifting element T in this embodiment has the function of a lifting lock in the normal installation position.
  • the seat 1 in the upper end of the shaft S has a cylindrical, circumferential seat wall 2, which is adjoined by an approximately horizontal, circular and step-shaped support 3.
  • the cover element D has a plate-shaped base body 5, in the edge region 4 of which a thickening 7 is arranged, in which a vertical through-bore 26 is provided.
  • a rotary insert 8 is rotatably but axially secured in the form of a bolt.
  • a receptacle 9 is used to insert a turning tool.
  • the receptacle 9 can be a transverse slot or, as shown, an internal hexagon.
  • a seal can be arranged in an outer circumferential groove 10 of each rotary insert 8.
  • An axial lock 11 prevents the rotary insert 8 from being pushed out upwards.
  • a push-off ramp 12 or also referred to as a front cam is provided, which is intended for cooperation with the support 3. With 13 the edge side in the edge area 4 is designated.
  • the rotary insert 8 has a lower end surface 18, which is set back from an underside 14 of the base body 5 and carries the push-off ramp 12.
  • the push-off ramp 12 is designed in the manner of a rising screw or a rib 17 extending in the circumferential direction, which gradually rises from the end face 18 to a flat summit region 16.
  • the rib 17 extends over approximately a quarter of the circumference of the end face 18 and is concentric with the axis of rotation of the rotary insert 8.
  • the underside of the edge nose 15 has a distance Y from the top of the end of the shaft S.
  • the push-off ramp 12 extends downwards over the plane of the support 3 by a dimension X which is greater than the height Y.
  • This dimensioning has the purpose when rotating the push-off ramp 12, the base body 5 is to be raised relative to the seat 1 so far that the lower edge of the edge nose 15 is raised above the top of the shaft and thus another tool can be attached or the base body can then be easily lifted out.
  • the base body 5 is in the normal installation position, in which it rests with its underside 14 on the support 3.
  • the push-off ramp 12 is rotated so far that it is free from the support 3.
  • the axial securing device 11 is a platelet-shaped locking part 19 made of plastic or metal and inserted through the rotating insert 8.
  • the locking part 19 is housed in a corresponding passage 20 of the rotary insert 8 and secured, for example, by a vertical, central pin.
  • the locking part 19 is non-rotatably connected to the rotary insert 8. It protrudes over the outer circumference of the rotary insert 8 and engages in a recess 22 of the thickening 7 in the edge region 4 of the base body 5.
  • the locking part 19 has an approximately T-shaped shape according to FIG.
  • the recess 22 of the thickening 7 has two rotation limit stops 23, 24 and an axial stop surface 25 for the locking part 19. As a result, the possible range of rotation of the rotary insert 8 is limited to approximately 270 °.
  • the rotary insert 8 In the normal operating installation position of the cover element 5, the rotary insert 8 is rotated so that the cutting edge 21 cuts into the seat wall 2 and serves as a lifting lock for the cover element D.
  • the cutting edge 21 In the position according to FIG. 3, which may correspond to the position of FIG. 2, on the other hand, the cutting edge 21 is released from its engagement and screwed into the recess 22, while the front cam or the pressing ramp 12 rests on the support 3 and therefore the base body 5 could raise.
  • the rotary insert 8 By Simply turning the rotary insert 8 between its two limit positions defines either the lever-out position or the position of the cover element D that is locked against lifting out.
  • the locking part 19 could also be a simple Seger ring if the lift-lock function is not needed.
