Description

Die Erfindung betrifft rechteckige Abdeckungen für Schächte und Versorgungskanäle.The invention relates to rectangular covers for shafts and supply channels.

Such covers consist of a frame, preferably composed of cast or profiled steel parts, and a fitted cast cover, which may be filled with concrete (DE-GM 85 05 180). The covers are rasterized very closely for a wide variety of applications, whereby individual frame parts can be used in several sizes.

The lids must be lifted using special tools. Especially with large lid dimensions, the weight of the lid is so great that opening it creates considerable difficulties. The object of remedying this is achieved according to the present invention, including a known mechanical, Hydraulic or pneumatic opening aid solved in that the cover has a hinge on one end face, that frame parts of the next larger grid dimension are taken for the frame sides adjoining the hinge side and that the frame part containing the hinge bearing has a width bridging the grid difference. Existing frame parts can therefore be used for a cover with a hinge and opening aid. This reduces the number of models and inventory. Model change parts can be used for the cast iron lid. However, it is conceivable to also design the hinge as an additional part which is screwed onto the front of the cover. If the end cover or any row cover is to be provided with opening aid for row covers, this can be achieved by using a small, gridded cover with a hinge part and a hinge frame part. Another important embodiment is to assemble the frame part containing the hinge from a normal frame part and an insert profile that contains the hinge bearings. In order to avoid contamination of the hinge and thus its inability to function, it is proposed to pull the cover over the hinge bolts and eyes so that they are completely covered.

Further advantageous design options, e.g. an embodiment of the cover which is watertight despite being foldable are described with the aid of the attached figures.

Figures 1 and 2 show the new manhole cover in section through the hinge part (Fig. 1) and in plan view of this Detail (Fig. 2). The frame 1 of the manhole cover is composed of two longitudinal profiles 2 and two transverse profiles 3. At the connection points, flanges 4, 5 are provided, which are screwed together. Horizontal ribs 6 on the outside provide the necessary flexural strength. The base flange 7 of the frame profiles 2, 3 is also stiffened by vertical ribs 8.

The cover 10 filled with concrete 9 has eyes 11 cast on a narrow side for a hinge. The counterpart in the frame is an insert profile 12, which adapts to the outside of the negative bevel 13 and to the inside of the positive bevel 13 ′ of the cover. As shown in FIG. 2, the insert profile 12 is screwed to the frame profile 3 (internal screws 13).

Two bolts 14, which have been driven into the eyes 11, serve as the hinge part. The area between the eyes 11 is covered by a projection 15 of the cover. On the underside, the insert profile has an apron-shaped extension 16 which lies against the inside of the frame base 3. This extension 16 serves as a support surface for the console 17, which at its lower end receives the opening aid 25, which is designed as a gas-filled lifting cylinder, in an articulated manner. The console 17 is screwed with its console plate 18 under the middle part of the insert profile 12.

The underside of the lid 10 has a locking device in the form of a tilting rod 20 which, in the open position, can be put into pockets (not shown). The toggle rod is raised before closing.

In the second embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the downward-projecting extension is missing from the insert profile 12 '. The Console 17 'is supported directly on the foot of the frame part 3'. A gutter 21 for incoming day water is cast on the inner edge of the insert profile 12 '. It is open at the side and opens into a corresponding longitudinal channel 22, which is placed under the longitudinal parts 3 ″ of the frame 1 with the aid of an L-rail 23. The longitudinal channels have (not shown) connections to leachate pipes.

From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the one pivot hole 24 for the opening aid 25 is designed as an elongated hole. This causes this (shorter) lifting cylinder to lose its lifting power at the end of its stroke and is only loosely pulled along. The opening force thus decreases towards the end of the stroke in accordance with the decrease in the lever arm of the cover weight.

Instead of casting the hinge eyes 11 onto the cover 10, a hinge-free cover of the next smallest grid dimension can be taken and the hinge bridge can be screwed on as an additional part.

Instead of molding the gutter 21 onto the insert profile 12 ', it could also be designed as an additional part which is screwed onto the insert profile from below and e.g. gets stuck under the console.
