Es ist nicht mitgeteilt worden, wie mit solchen Fehldrucken weiter verfahren wird, um Betrugsversuche zu vermeiden. In der Praxis bieten sich dadurch viele Möglichkeiten für Betrügereien mit den Fehldrucken. Eine erhöhte Sicherheit könnte nur durch generelle Vermeidung von Fehldrucken erzielt werden. Ein zweiter Nachteil besteht in der Schwierigkeit einervisuellen Auswertung eines Barcodes, so daß der Aufdruck offensichtlich nur maschinell überprüft werden kann. Ein dritter Nachteil besteht darin, daß ein großes separates Feld benötigtwird, wodurch der Platz für die postalischen Daten eingeengt wird, denn das Identifikationsmerkmal kann bei einer Vielzahl von von in die Verschlüsselung einbezogenen Daten nicht in einer Zeile ausgedruckt werden. Wie in der Figur 1 dargestellt, werden beispielsweise Maschinenparameter MP, wie Seriennummeroder Werksnummer sowie Anzahl der Drucke mit dem Datum DT und der Werteinstellung WE und ggf.
