Zwar soll ein Supervisor die ausgesonderten Fehldrucke beurteilen, jedoch kann dabei ein subjektives Urteil nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Es ist nicht mitgeteilt worden, wie mit solchen Fehldrucken weiter verfahren wird, um Betrugsversuche zu vermeiden. In der Praxis bieten sich dadurch viele Möglichkeiten für Betrügereien mit den Fehldrucken. Eine erhöhte Sicherheit könnte nur durch generelle Vermeidung von Fehldrucken erzielt werden. Ein zweiter Nachteil besteht in der Schwierigkeit einervisuellen Auswertung eines Barcodes, so daß der Aufdruck offensichtlich nur maschinell überprüft werden kann. Ein dritter Nachteil besteht darin, daß ein großes separates Feld benötigtwird, wodurch der Platz für die postalischen Daten eingeengt wird, denn das Identifikationsmerkmal kann bei einer Vielzahl von von in die Verschlüsselung einbezogenen Daten nicht in einer Zeile ausgedruckt werden. Bei mikroprozessorgesteuerten Druckverfahren in Frankier- und Wertstempelmaschinen werden durch Mikroprozessoren sowie Speicher und Register die Stempelabdrucke erzeugt. Dabei wird erst unmittelbar vor dem Druck das Druckmuster bzw. Druckbild erzeugt, z. B. aus Festdaten, wie einem Klischeemuster, und aktuellen Daten, wie Datum und Gebührenwert. Zusätzlich zu einem solchen Druckmuster wird erfindungsgemäß ein Identifikationsmerkmal abgedruckt. Um dieses Identifikationsmerkmal unfälschbar zu machen, werden Parameter der jeweiligen Maschine mit Teilen der zu druckenden Gebührenwerte und dem Datum verknüpft. Wie in der Figur 1 dargestellt, werden beispielsweise Maschinenparameter MP, wie Seriennummeroder Werksnummer sowie Anzahl der Drucke mit dem Datum DT und der Werteinstellung WE und ggf. Ziffern des Werbeklischees über einen kryptographischen Algorithmus KAverknüpft, und die daraus erhaltene verschlüsselte, mehrstellige Kryptozahl zusätzlich über die Druckersteuerung DS in das Druckmuster eingefügt.In microprocessor-controlled printing processes in franking and stamp machines, the stamp impressions are generated by microprocessors as well as memories and registers.
