Claims (3)

Device for collecting objects and for supplying same to machining or processing stations arranged in succession along a transportation path, in particular in the form of a filling plant for the purpose of collecting containers (1, 2) from an unloading station (3) and supplying same to filling, top application, closing, labelling and removal stations (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) or the like, with a base frame (9) bearing a transportation means (11) with receivers (12, 13) for the objects (1, 2) which are arranged consecutively in the direction of transportation (A) and shaped in accordance with the objects (1, 2), and with a step-by-step drive (14) which advances the transportation means (11) in steps of equal length (S), characterized in that in order to enable adaptation to a given sequence of at least two differently shaped objects (1, 2) which are to be suitable for machining and/or processing by means of the device, the transportation means (11) possesses a series of successive receiver sequences in the direction of transportation (A) which correspond to the sequence of the objects, whereby each receiver sequence is distributed evenly over an also given step length (S) in such a manner that each distance between two objects (1, 2) corresponds to that fraction of one step length (S) which is arrived at by dividing said step length by the number of objects (1, 2) of a sequence.
2. Device in accordance with claim 1 employing endless chains (15) as the transport means (11) on which carrier plates (16, 17) are located in succession, each carrier plate bearing a number of identically shaped receivers (12, 13) located next to one another, characterized in that the arrangement in succession of different carrier plates (16, 17), each carrier plate being allocated to a specific shape of the objects, corresponds to the given sequence of the objects.
3. Device in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the step-by-step drive (14) is equipped with a locking coupling (26) or the like, in order to adjust the position of the transportation means (11) or endless chains (15), respectively, in relation to the stations in the direction of the transport means in such a manner that, during operation of the device, the respective feed steps of the transportation means convey only the receivers of one and the same object shape into operation at the stations.
