Aus der US-PS 3,311,061 ist ein Treibtopf aus Kunststoff für drallstabilisierte Unterkalibergeschosse bekannt. Der Treibtopf weist im Bereich eines Geschoßhecks in seiner, das Geschoß einhüllenden Wand eine Umfangsnut und axiale Schlitze auf, wobei die Schlitze vom vorderen Ende des Treibtopfes bis nahezu der Umfangsnut ragen. Beim Abschuß des Treibtopfes soll noch im Waffenrohr der Abschnitt des dünnwandigen Treibtopfes aufgrund der vier Schlitze in vier Teile geteilt werden, die sich aufgrund der Drallwirkung beim Austritt aus dem Waffenrohr seitlich entfernen. Der bodenseitige, geschlossene Teil des Treibtopfes weist nach verlassen des Waffenrohres einen größeren Luftwiderstand auf als das Geschoß, so daß der Treibtopf vom Geschoß getrennt wird. Nach dem Ablösen des Treibtopfrestes fliegt dieser eine größere Strecke direkt hinter dem Projektil her. Es gibt Einsatzfälle, insbesondere bei Einsätzen auf kleine Entfernungen, in denen dieser Umstand das Projektilverhalten beeinträchtigt.From US-PS 3,311,061 a plastic drive pot for spin-stabilized sub-caliber projectiles is known. Diese Wandabschnitte halten ein Projektil in zentrischer Lage zum Treibspiegel. Nach dem Abschuß des Treibspiegels und des Projektils reißt der Sicherungsring nach dem Austritt aus dem Waffenrohr aufgrund der Fliehkräfte der Wandabschnitte. Nachdem der Sicherungsring beim Abschuß von den Feldern des gezogenen Waffenrohres nicht beeinflußt wird, kann es vorkommen, daß aufgrund relativ hoher Zugfestigkeit des Sicherungsrings die Ablösung des Treibspiegels sehr spät erfolgt und dadurch die Zielgenauigkeit des Projektils nachteilig beeinflußt.Furthermore, from DE-05 20 41 877 a sabot for spin-stabilized lower-caliber projectiles is known, in which a retaining ring with part of its length holds four wall sections together at the rear. Vorteilhaft schneiden beim Abschuß die Felder des gezogenen Waffenrohres die notwendigen Sollbruchstellen in das Führungsband. Damit ist sichergestellt, daß der Treibtopf einschließlich der Topfhülse unmittelbar nach der Rohrmündung aufgrund der Fliehkraftwirkung der Segmente des Treibtopfes mehrfach aufgerissen wird. Die Segmente können dabei aus Stahl, Aluminium, Titan oder Kunststoff bestehen. Im Idealfall weist das Führungsband nach dem Durchgang durch das Waffenrohr genau über den Teilungsfugen des Treibtopfes Sollbruchstellen auf. Auch unabhängig davon ist bei versetzten Sollbruchstellen in bezug auf die Teilungsfugen ein störungsfreies Ablösen der Segmente des Treibtopfes gewährleistet.   2. A propelling pot according to claim 1, characterised in that the propelling pot (1) consists of three segments (7).
  3. A propelling pot according to claim 1, characterised in that the pot casing (6) is connected in a form-locking manner to the driving band (4).
