Claims (9)

  1. Process for the production of images on a forme cylinder (4, 15) in a rotary offset printing machine by means of an image-adequate application of a substance, affecting the ink transport, on to parts of the forme cylinder (4, 15) surface by an image point transfer unit (5, 5') working according to the thermo-transfer process, characterised in that the application of a substance is effected at least in an auxiliary way on to a soft surface of a cylinder in the rotary offset printing machine.
  2. Process according to claim 1, characterised in that the image point-transfer unit (5) transfers portions (14a) of a substance (14), which affects the ink transport, directly onto the forme cylinder (4).
  3. Process according to claim 1, characterised in that the image point-transfer unit (5') transfers portions (14a') of a substance (14') onto a blanket cylinder (2').
  4. Device for carrying out the process according to claim 1, characterised in that the image point-transfer unit (5, 5') is set onto the soft surface of a cylinder in the rotary offset printing machine.
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the cylinder is the forme cylinder (4).
  6. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the cylinder is the blanket cylinder (2').
  7. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the surface of the forme cylinder (4) is made of acrylic-ester-rubber, nitrile rubber or modified polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
  8. Device according to claim 5 or 7, characterised in that the forme cylinder (4, 15) has a seamless surface.
  9. Device according to claim 6, characterised in that the blanket cylinder (2') has a seamless surface.
