  • b) daß das Gerät mit Mitteln zur schrägstellung einer ein Einfarbenband aufweisenden Farbbandkassette versehen ist, mit deren Hilfe die Kassette derart schrägstellbar ist, daß der Druckkopf das Einfarbenband über eine Zeilenbreite hinweg etwa diagonal überstreicht, und
  • c) daß in beiden Betriebfällen als Führungselement für die jeweilige Farbbandgabel eine zwischen den Armen der Kassette befestigte starre Leitstange vorgesehen ist.

Fig. 1 bis 5 zeigen im Ausschnitt einen Teil eines Nadeldruckers mit einem Druckkopf 10, der auf einem Schlitten 11 befestigt ist. Schlitten 11 mit Druckkopf 10 sind auf einer Welle 12 in Längsrichtung hin und her verschiebbar. Mit 13 ist eine Farbbandkassette bezeichnet, die mit seitlichen, in Richtung einer nicht dargestellten Druckwalze sich erstreckenden Führungsarmen 14 versehen ist. Die Farbbandgabel 16 ist an ihrem freien Ende mit einem Führungsteil 16 a über eine Langlochverbindung 17 an einer Leitstange 18 angelenkt, die ihrerseits in den seitlichen Führungsarmen 14 gelagert ist. Mit 19 ist ein Motorgetriebe bezeichnet, das auf dem Schlitten 11 angeordnet ist. Gemäß Fig. 1 bis 3 ist die Farbbandgabel 16 mit einer Zahnstange 20 versehen, die mit dem Motorgetriebe 19 kämmt. Die Farbbandkassette 13 ist über eine Achse 21 z.B. im Gehäuse des Nadeldruckers drehbar gelagert. Die Schrägstellung ist durch den Ansatz 22 bewirkt, der auf dem Vorsprung 23 aufliegt. Durch die Schrägstellung wird erreicht, daß der parallel zur Welle 12 laufende Druckkopf 10 das Einfarbenband 24 diagonal überstreicht, so daß eine optimale Ausnutzung des eingelegten, automatisch durchgezogenen Farbbandes 24 erfolgt. Claims (5)

  1. A writing device, for example a needle printer
    - with an ink ribbon cassette (13) detachably journalled in the housing, having two arms (14) extending in the direction of the platen for guiding a ink ribbon (15,24), and arranged so as to be pivotable parallel to the platen about an axis (21) which lies within the range of the ink ribbon cassette (13), and
    - with an ink ribbon fork (16,16') which is adjustable transversely to the line direction, which serves to guide the ink ribbon (15,24), which is arranged at one end between the arms (14) on a guiding element (18) by means of a hinge and with a longitudinal sliding possibility, and which at the other end is detachably coupled to a slide (11) of a print head (10) which is movable in the line direction,
    characterized in that
    a) the slide (11) is provided with a motor drive (19) which engages the ink ribbon fork (16) and by means of which a ink ribbon cassette with a multi-colour ribbon (15) is pivotable about the axis (21) such that one of the colour strips (15a to 15d), as desired, can be brought into the printing position,
    b) the device is provided with means (22,23) for positioning an ink ribbon cassette containing a single-colour ribbon (24) obliquely, whereby the cassette can be positioned obliquely such that the print head (10) traverses the single-colour ribbon (24) approximately diagonally over a line width, and
    c) a rigid guiding rod (18) fastened between the arms (14) of the cassette is provided as a guiding element for the relevant ink ribbon fork (16,16') in both operational modes.
  2. A writing device as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the ink ribbon fork (16,16') is fastened to the guiding rod (18) by means of a slot connection (17).
  3. A writing device as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, with the use of a ink ribbon cassette (13) containing a multi-colour ribbon (15), the ink ribbon fork (16) is provided with a rack (20) which engages the motor drive (19) arranged on the slide (11) for the purpose of parallel shifting (transverse adjustment).
  4. A writing device as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the ink ribbon cassette (13) containing a single-colour ribbon (24) comprises projections (22) in the region of the lateral guiding arms (14) for achieving an oblique position, which projections (22) cooperate with protrusions (23) of the housing.
  5. A writing device as claimed in Claim 4, characterized in that the projections (22) can be manufactured through breaking-out from the ink ribbon cassette (13).
