Abstract

A deep drawable sheet or strip of metal, preferably aluminum or an aluminum alloy having a surface treated for deep drawing characterized in that the surface has a microroughness, Ra, ranging between about 0.1 and 0.8 mu m and a uniform, honeycomb-shaped structure, wherein the honeycomb diameter ranges between about 20 mu m and about 200 mu m is provided.
