- This invention solves the problem of defining a method and creating a bending machine, with a bending head and with fixed bending tools, allowing the bending of wires in three dimensions, wire straightening without having to push it through the straightening rollers, and process management by a programmable controller.
- the method of bending metal wires in three dimensions consists in keeping the bending head fixed and in rotating and moving the feeding devices and wire straightener around the axis of the wire, keeping the latter integral with the straightener -wire of so as to orient the wire, with a view to folding, in different planes, and to advance this step by step, towards the folding head, with a view to the formation of folds.
- This method also consists in retaining the wire by its end during the retraction of the feeding devices and wire straightener, while the wire, has been previously detached from the feeding system, in order to obtain the straightening of the wire during during the return, towards the rear, of the feeding device.
- the machine operating according to this process essentially consists of a fixed folding head, equipped with a tool magazine or several fixed heads and a retaining clamp, and a feeding and dressing assembly, mobile in rotation and translation.
