A stranded conductor (1) for flexible electrical cables, consisting of mutually stranded bundles (2) in each case made of a large number of fine wires, characterised in that, in a stranded conductor with an electrically effective cross-section of at least 4 mm**2 , additional stranding elements (3) are arranged in the interstices of the stranded bundles (2).

Description

The invention is in the field of electrical cables and wires and can be used in the structural design of a stranded conductor for flexible electrical lines.

Dabei sind auch Aufbauten üblich, bei denen jeweils eine kleinere Anzahl von Einzeldrähten ein verwürgtes Unterelement und mehrere miteinander verwürgte Unterelemente das eigentliche Litzenelement, nämlich das Bündel, bilden (DE-OS"29 25 050).Stranded conductors for electrical cables and wires consist of one or more stranded elements (bundles), which are made by stranding or twisting several fine individual wires. In stranded strand elements, the individual wires are firmly assigned to one another in layers. As a result of the layer structure, these strand elements contain a very specific number of individual wires. In the case of strangled strand elements, the individual wires are not clearly assigned to one another. These stranded elements can consist of any number of individual wires in the range between 10 and 100 wires. Constructions are also common in which a smaller number of individual wires form a choked sub-element and several choked sub-elements form the actual strand element, namely the bundle (DE-OS "29 25 050).

Proceeding from a stranded conductor with the features of the preamble of claim 1, the invention is based on the object of constructing a stranded conductor which has an electrically effective cross section of at least 4 mm 2 in such a way that - compared to the known structures - the same is electrical effective cross section results in a smaller spatial cross section. To achieve this object it is provided according to the invention that additional strand elements are arranged in the gusset spaces of the stranded bundles.

With such a structural design of the stranded conductor, the electrically effective cross section of the stranded bundles and thus also the spatial cross section of these bundles can be chosen to be smaller. This results in a reduced diameter of the stranded conductor as a whole. This results in lower material consumption when applying the insulation for a given wall thickness. As a result of the smaller diameter of the stranded conductor and thus also the wire, smaller dimensions occur in the core and outer diameter in the case of multi-core cables, so that less material is also used for the inner and outer sheath.

The stranded elements arranged in the gusset spaces can be stranded or choked elements. However, strands are preferably also considered, in which several fine wires are combined into a stranded element without being twisted or unwrapped. Fine wires are used for the strand elements arranged in the gusset spaces, the diameter of which is smaller or at most equal to the diameter of the wires used for the bundles.

The diameter reduction of the new stranded conductor is particularly important when three or four bundles form a stranded conductor, since this results in relatively large gusset spaces.

Two exemplary embodiments of the new stranded conductor are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.

- Beim Litzenleiter 4 gemäß Fig. 2 sind in den Zwickelräumen der verseilten Bündel 2 zusätzliche Litzenelemente 5 in Form von Strähnen angeordnet.1 consists of three stranded bundles 2, in the gusset spaces the additional stranded strand elements 3 are arranged. In the stranded conductor 4 according to FIG. 2, additional stranded elements 5 in the form of strands are arranged in the interstices of the stranded bundles 2.
