- the present invention relates generally to a machine for the manufacture of plastic bags consisting of two superimposed sheets welded along their lateral edges, the bottom remaining open or being closed by a welding or folding line, these bags being equipped with profiled coupling elements extending along the edges of their opening and capable of being coupled by elastic deformation by pressure under the effect of the sliding of a slider, this machine comprising, inter alia, in known manner , downstream of an extruder producing the sheets, on the one hand an apparatus for automatically placing sliders, in operational position, on profiled coupling elements which extend along the longitudinal edges of two sheets superimposed in movement, and on the other hand, a welding and cutting blade suitable for carrying out at the desired rate, and this during periodic stops in the running of the sheets, transverse welding lines constituting the side edges of the bags.
