Definitions

  • the invention relates to a dental patient chair with a lower part of the chair, which contains a stationary base part which is essentially rectangular in plan, a lifting device articulated thereon and a seat support arranged at the upper end of the lifting device and also rectangular in plan.
  • Such a patient chair is known, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,982,718.
  • the aim of the present invention is to simplify a dental patient chair of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that, using as few types and parts as possible, rational production is possible with as little tooling as possible.
  • the base part and seat support each consist of a base plate as a load-bearing element, from both sides attached to the shorter sides of the base plate, angled and with their angled end parts encompassing the longer sides of the base plate and the longer end pieces Cladding profiles covering the sides of the base plate and fastened to the end pieces by means of connecting elements.
  • the proposed construction enables the base part and seat support to be constructed with as few different components as possible. Only the base plates of the base part and seat support are to be individually adjusted in length to the different requirements.
  • the end pieces and the cladding profiles covering the long sides of the base plate can advantageously be of uniform design, and the end pieces can even be of identical design.
  • the cladding profiles can optionally be formed from profile pieces forming a longitudinal slot or from full-surface closed profile pieces, depending on whether or not a device with a longitudinal displacement track is to be adapted in one or the other modification to the chair.
  • the end pieces can be firmly connected to the base plate; the lateral cladding profiles, on the other hand, are preferably connected to the end pieces by means of elastic centering plugs as connecting pieces. A largely play-free connection of the parts can thus be achieved. If the lifting device is covered by a bellows or the like, it is advantageous to provide the covering profiles and / or the end pieces with molded-on holding means for the bellows.
  • the patient chair 1 shows a diagrammatic representation of a dental work station, consisting of a patient chair 1, a doctor's device 2 arranged on the patient's right as viewed from the patient and a helper device 3 arranged on the left of the patient's chair.
  • the patient chair 1 essentially consists of a chair upper part and a chair lower part .
  • the lower part of the chair contains a base part 4, in which a horizontal guide 5 for the doctor's device 2, which will be explained in more detail later, and electrical and / or pneumatic supply modules combined in a junction box 6 are arranged, as well as a height adjustment device, concealed by a bellows 7, for the seat and Backrest of existing chair upper part 8.
  • the device 3 is also adjustably supported parallel to the longitudinal axis of the chair by means of a horizontal guide 9 (FIG. 2), in contrast to the horizontal guide 5 for the doctor's device 2, the fixed base part 4 over the entire length of the chair, 1 from the rear edge of the seat to at least the bottom end of the seat or to the right end of the connection box 6 in the illustration according to FIG. 1, the horizontal guide 9 for the assistant's device 3 on the height-adjustable chair upper beam 10 only runs over its length.
  • a horizontal guide 9 (FIG.
  • FIG. 3 shows the structure of the lower part of the chair including upper part 10 of the chair in an exploded view. The view is from the side from which FIG. 2 is to be viewed.
  • the base part 4 is essentially formed from a base plate 11 which is rectangular in plan and which accommodates all supporting parts, in particular the height adjustment device designated by 60 and the support 10 for the chair upper part 8, and a frame surrounding the base plate 11, which in turn consists of two the shorter sides arranged end pieces 12 and formed on the longer sides trim parts 13 and profile elements 14 is formed.
  • the end pieces 12 are designed as corner profiles, that is to say they have end parts 12a which are angled at right angles and encompass the shorter sides of the base plate 11 and into which elastic parts Connecting elements 15 are inserted, on which the trim parts 13 and the profile elements 14 can be attached.
  • the right end piece 12 shown in the figure contains a Ansats 16, on which the lower end of the bellows 7 is suspended.
  • the end pieces 12 are screwed onto the base plate 11, for which purpose tabs 18 are arranged on this fastening blocks 17 and on the end pieces 12.
  • the full-surface covering parts 13 are cross-divided into a section 13a, which essentially corresponds to the length of the chair upper part support 10 or the bellows 7 surrounding the height adjustment device, and a section 13b, which corresponds to the remaining length, essentially the length of the connection box 6.
  • a holding part 20 is arranged on the base plate 11 or on a bar 19 connected to it, adapted to the profile of the covering parts 13, onto which the covering parts 13a, 13b are pushed with their one ends for fixing before they are attached to theirs other ends are connected to the end pieces 12 by means of the elastic connecting elements 15.
  • the covering part 13a like the right end piece 12, also contains an extension 16, on which the bellows 7 is hung.
  • the transverse division is also present in the angle profiles 14; here, too, the individual parts are connected to one another by elastic connecting elements 15; the upper angle section 14a, like the covering part 13a, contains a corresponding extension 16 in order to be able to fasten the bellows 7.
  • a major advantage of the transverse division of the trim parts and angle profiles in the manner described can be seen in the fact that the same trim parts can be used for the trim of both the seat support and the base part, for a chair construction with a short base part, for. B. without a junction box, as well as with a long base part, for. B. with junction box.
  • the two angle profiles 14 form a slot 21 over their entire length, from which a connection or support part 22 projects, on which the support column 23 (FIG. 1), which is bent at the bottom, can be fastened for the device 2.
  • the support part 22 is fixedly connected to a slide 24 which is guided within the base part 4 over the entire length of the slot 21 in the horizontal guide 5.
  • the slot 21 is trimmed off by a webbing 25 which is suspended on the carriage 24 and which, as an endless belt, is guided approximately rectangularly over deflection rollers 26.
  • various supply lines 27 which are joined to form a flat band and which bring the media (air and / or water and / or electrical current) required in the device 2 from a central supply source in the connection box 6 to the support part 22.
  • the chair upper part support 10 also consists of a base plate 31 with the same width as the base plate 11 and a frame, consisting on the one hand of end pieces 32 on both sides and on the other hand cladding parts 33 and angle profiles 34, which in turn by means of corresponding elastic connecting elements 35 are attached to the end pieces.
  • end pieces 32 On the end pieces and on the angle profiles are approaches 36, on which the bellows 7 can be hung.
  • the end pieces 32 are identical to the end pieces 12, that is to say they have fastening tabs 38 in the same place and at the same height; the associated brackets 37 are provided in the base plate 31.
  • the trim parts 33 also have the same dimensions as the trim sections 13a, which among other things simplifies the storage of the parts and also makes it possible to exchange the parts with one another.
  • the right end piece 12 provided with a shoulder can be used from the base part 4 to cover the upper part carrier.
  • connection or support part 42 protrudes through the slot 41 formed by the two angle profiles 34, a connection or support part 42, to which the support column 43 (FIG. 2) of the device 3 is attached either directly or via a support arm.
  • the slot is covered by a webbing 45.
  • the horizontal guide 5 contains a continuous shaft 47, which is held in bearing blocks 46 and on which the slide 24 is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable.
  • the carriage 24 is supported by a roller 48 on a U-profile 49.
  • the four deflecting rollers 26 guide the belt 25 at the slot ends, in such a way that it runs roughly rectangular.
  • the band 25 forms a loop between two further deflection rollers 50.
  • a friction wheel 51 which is coupled to a drive unit 53 via a magnetic coupling 52, presses on the belt 25.
  • 54 is a pressure roller pressed against the belt 25 by a spring 55, with which the belt is sufficiently pressed against the belt Friction wheel 51 is pressed. so that when the drive 53 is switched on, the belt end 25 di covering the slot 21 can also be provided as a drive or transmission element for the slide 24 and thus for the device 2.
  • the horizontal guide 9 for the device 3 is constructed in principle the same; however, it contains no drive.
  • the webbing ends 56 can be detachably attached to the carriage by means of screws or can also be attached to a corresponding hook on the carriage by means of a bracket. If the device adapted to the support column 23 is not adjusted by motor but by hand Should, or even if the webbing can not be guided in a square due to space reasons, the endless guidance of the belt can be dispensed with and the slot cover can be arranged, for example, by winding rollers for the then two-part webbing can be provided.
  • FIG. 5 and 6 show details from FIG. 3 and show the structure of the base part. 6 shows in particular the design of the two profile strips, which form the slot for carrying out the slide or the supporting part connected to it.
  • the profile strips are angle profiles, which are arranged with their flat surfaces facing outwards and with their leg ends facing the webbing. Parts 14a of the profiled strips 14 slightly angled towards them towards the band cover the belt a little in the assembled state and lie against it slightly, so that a largely dust-free slot cover is provided. All cladding profiles, i.e. both the full-surface cladding parts 13 and the profile strips 14, have the same profile at the connection points, i.e.
  • the end pieces with molded bellows holder can be used for both the base part and the seat support, and the full-surface and slit-forming cladding profiles can alternatively be provided on the left or right side of the chair or on both sides of the chair, depending on whether, and if, on which side of the chair a device should be slidably mounted.
