Claims (6)

1. Dispenser for rolls of strip material, designed in particular for toilet paper rolls, formed by a casing (1) provided with a vertical rear wall (2) whose distribution opening (5) is provided in a lateral wall (4) perpendicular to this wall (2), a first fixed, horizontal core-holder in the form of a spindle (6) mounted on the vertical wall at a height above the opening and a second core-holder (10) parallel to the first, characterized in that the second core-holder (10) is mounted on a rod (11) movable about a fixed, horizontal shaft (12) disposed at a height above the spindle (6) and on the other side of the vertical plane passing through the axis of the spindle (6) with respect to the second core-holder, the rod (11) being, in part, at a distance from the wall (2) which is greater than the length of the spindle (6), the shaft (12) - spindle (6) distance being smaller than the shaft (12)­second core-holder (10) distance such that the second core-holder (10) can be displaced between two end positions, one above the spindle (6) and the other between the spindle (6) and the opening (5).
2. Dispenser as claimed in the preceding claim, characterized in that the casing comprises a second wall (3) parallel to the wall (2) provided with an aperture (15) enabling the passage of a core (9) of a paper roll.
3. Dispenser as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rod (11) rests on the roll (8) mounted on the spindle (6) during use so as to exert a braking force.
4. Dispenser as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the spindle (6) is movable about an axis perpendicular to the wall (2).
5. Dispenser as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the spindle (6) has a substantially elliptical section.
6. Dispenser as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the spindle (6') has a triangular section, the axis of rotation (7') passing through a point close to one of the vertices.
