Description

The invention relates to a refuse container, preferably to a waste container made of plastic or metal, with a U-shaped carrier bar arranged at the upper edge of its front wall and provided with stiffening ribs on the underside and interacting with a gripping rail, the outer leg of which is made of two under one blunt Angularly spaced webs are formed, of which the lower web, which is assigned to the free edge of the outer leg, is angled outward to form an insertion bevel for the gripping rail, the front inner corners of the waste receptacle space facing the driving bar are formed by round arches with a large radius and the upper edge of the container has side strips.

A refuse container of this type is known from EP-A-98 528 (FIG. 6), in which the entrainment edge in the front corner regions has an arcuately small radius. The lateral alignment of the waste container when the gripping rail is retracted into the U-shaped driving bar takes place in the corner areas of the driving bar by ribs with obliquely running guide edges and in the middle area by a wedge-shaped molded body of the driving bar. In the event of a lateral offset and an inclined position of the waste container with respect to the gripping rail, the waste container is often not gripped by the gripping rail, but rather pushed back by the gripping rail and its gear linkage. This occurs particularly in the case of fully automatic fillings.

The known waste container has at the front edge a continuous, strip-like projection or several short projections, on which a safety bar of the tilting device is supported. This safety bar forms an additional holding means for the waste container during the tipping process.

The invention has for its object to design a garbage container of the type mentioned in such a way that the introduction of the gripping rail into the carrier bar is improved with lateral displacement and inclination of the garbage container relative to the gripping rail and at the same time the mounting of the gripping rail in the carrier bar is improved in such a way that a fuse strip can be dispensed with.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the web of the driving bar forming the lead-in chamfer merges into the side bar in a round arch in the corner region of the refuse container, the radius of which corresponds to the radius of the inner circular arch on the container wall, and that the gripping rail on the driving bar in the area of the web is form-fitting is present.

Since the web of the driving bar, which forms the lead-in chamfer, merges with the side bars in a round arch with a large radius, alignment parts with arc-shaped outer and inner contours and surfaces that run obliquely from the outside inward are created in the front corner areas. If the outer edges of the gripping rail engage in one of these alignment parts, even if the waste container is inclined relative to the gripping rail, the waste container is aligned with the gripping rail and the gripping rail can be gripped correctly.

The fact that the gripping rail fits positively in the area of the web forming the lead-in chamfer after the entry into the cavity of the carrier bar, there is a good holding between the gripping rail and the carrier bar with only little play between the gripping rail and the carrier bar of the waste container, so that the Safety bar of the tilting device is unnecessary.

An overall view of a refuse container is shown in FIG. 1. The volume can be adjusted to the usual values of e.g. 120, 240, 360, 660, 770, 1000 and 1100 liters. On the rear wall 1 of the container, an axle provided with rollers 2 is provided in the lower area, while a cover 3 is articulated in the upper area of the rear wall 1. On the front wall opposite the rear wall 1, a driving bar 5, shown in more detail in FIGS. 2 and 3, is provided in the upper region for attachment to a gripping rail 6 or 6 'arranged on the garbage truck, not shown. The gripping rail 6 and 6 'are shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 in dash-dotted lines in different positions.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the cross section of the driving bar 5 is U-shaped, one of the legs parallel to one another being formed by the front wall 4 of the waste container. The outer leg 7 of the driving bar 5 is formed from two webs 8, 9 which are at an obtuse angle to one another such that the lower web is angled outwards. The driving bar 5 is equipped with a plurality of stiffening ribs 10, as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 4 and 6. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the lower web 9 extends to the level of the free edge of the stiffening ribs 10 plane formed. The gripping rail according to FIG. 2 is inclined on the side facing the web 9 to form a boundary surface in the same way as the web 9 itself. A particularly large contact surface is thereby created when the waste container is attached. As can also be seen from FIG. 2, the gripping rail 6 is inserted from below into the driving bar 5 by a pivoting movement. The gripping rail 6 moves in the direction of the front wall 4. As soon as it hits the free edges of the stiffening ribs 10, the waste container is raised. Since the gripping rail does not move into the space formed by the stiffening ribs 10, it can have a flat surface on the associated upper side, which is particularly advantageous since the spacing of the stiffening ribs need not be taken into account when designing the gripping rail 6 .

The driving bar 5 shown in FIG. 3 as a further exemplary embodiment differs from that shown in FIG. 2 in that the lower web 9 is kept shorter and more inclined. In addition, the stiffening ribs 10 are made shorter. The gripping rail 6 'has an outer contour which corresponds to the inner contour of the driving bar in the area of the web 9, so that a positive fit is achieved in the area of the web 9 between the driving bar and the gripping bar 6'. When the garbage container is emptied, the driving bar 5 thus rests on the gripping rail 6 '.

6' bilden. As can be seen from FIGS. 4 and 6, the driving bar 5 extends into the side bars of the container. The transition region of the outer leg 7 and the container wall is designed in a round arch with the same radius. As can be seen from FIGS. 5 and 6, one or more positioning webs 11 can be provided in the region of the side walls of the container, which, due to their diverging arrangement, additionally form an insertion wedge for the gripping rail 6 or 6 '.

Since the gripping rail 6 is divided in this exemplary embodiment, two further positioning webs 11 'are provided in the central region of the driving bar 5, which are inclined so that guide edges for the gripping rail 6 are formed.

The rubbish bin is fixed so well in all directions with such a small amount of play with respect to the gripping rail that an additional safety device during the pouring process is no longer necessary with a safety bar. This is done in particular by eliminating the more or less large free space between the driving bar 5 and the gripping rail 6 or 6 '. This also ensures the function of smaller refuse containers that are not fully or only in contact with the so-called mask of the pouring device on two sides of their filling opening. This prevents the smaller waste containers from slipping through the larger opening of the mask.
