Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electric hotplate with a hotplate body and a lower cover plate, through which an insulating piece protrudes in the edge area, from which the electric hotplate connection lines protrude stubbornly, and to a positioning part which can be fixed relative to the hotplate and has spaced passages in which the flexible connecting wires provided with wire end sleeves are fixed for their connection to the stub-like ends of the connecting lines.
  • the positioning part can be attached to the hotplate body, in particular can be attached.
  • the positioning part can have a number of spaced passages corresponding to the number of connecting lines.
  • the distance between the passages in the positioning part can correspond to the distance between the connecting wires.
  • the stub-like ends of the connecting lines should not protrude beyond the plane formed by the lower edge of the hotplate body. They can be bent in such a way that they preferably cross with the connecting wires to form an approximately right angle.
  • This proposal was based on the idea of creating an electric hotplate that is particularly suitable for the automatic loading of cooker hobs.
  • the invention has for its object to further improve an electric hotplate of the type mentioned, in particular an electric hotplate according to the German patent application, in such a way that the production costs are reduced and the possible uses are improved.
  • the invention provides that the wire end sleeves protrude from the positioning part on its side facing the insulating piece and cross with the ends of the connecting wires.
  • wires are no longer required which have to be attached to the wire end ferrules. This not only reduces the number of components, but also the number of work steps. So that the wire end sleeves can protrude from the positioning part, it makes sense to use specially designed relatively long wire end sleeves for this.
  • the measures according to the invention have the additional great advantage that when connecting hotplates equipped in this way with the usual hotplates, the connecting wires can continue to be used.
  • the wire end sleeve is pulled out of the positioning part and pulled to the usual length with the help of a side cutter or the like. shortened.
  • a conventional hotplate with screw connection can then be used for replacement.
  • the wire end sleeves and the passages of the positioning part have two areas of different diameters and the ends of the sleeves protruding from the positioning part are crimped.
  • the areas of different diameters ensure that the wire end sleeves with the flexible connecting lines attached to them are correctly positioned in the positioning part, and the pinching ensures that the position of the wire end sleeves remains fixed.
  • the squeezing can ensure that there is a particularly advantageous enlarged contact surface between the wire end sleeves and the stub-like ends of the connecting wires.
  • the crimping can be done so that the ends of the ferrules are flattened. It is also possible to squeeze using a bend.
  • the invention provides that the area of reduced diameter of the wire end sleeves can have an approximately U-shaped or V-shaped cross section.
  • Such wire end sleeves can be produced relatively easily from sheet metal blanks, the U or V-shaped cross section providing a simple possibility of keeping the diameter of the wire end sleeves smaller in this area.
  • the squeezing of this cross section outside the positioning part can also be carried out very easily.
  • the area of reduced diameter of the wire end ferrules is approximately three times as long as the area of enlarged diameter. It has been found that in this case the ferrules can be used with the usual connecting parts.
  • the positioning part can be fixed on the insulating piece.
  • the insulating piece can have a lateral recess in which the positioning part can be fixed.
  • the hotplate shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 essentially has a hotplate body 11 which has a rim 12 on its outside and is covered by a cover plate 13 on its underside.
  • the cover plate lies on the lower edge 14 of the hotplate body and is fastened to the hollow central bolt with the aid of a screw 15.
  • In the cover plate 13 there is a recess 16 near the hotplate edge 14 with an insulating piece 17 inserted therein.
  • the insulating piece has three holes 18 through which the bare ends of the connecting lines 19 for the electrical heating resistors (not shown in detail) are passed.
  • the ends 20 of the connecting lines 19 are bent slightly below and outside the insulating piece 17 towards the center of the hotplate body and cut off so that they do not protrude beyond the plane formed by the lower hotplate edge 14.
  • a positioning part 21 is arranged, which engages with its hotplate-side end 22 into a recess in the edge 23 of the insulating piece 17.
  • the positioning part 21 has three through bores 24 which have an enlarged diameter in the region of the end 25 of the positioning part 21 remote from the hotplate.
  • Flexible insulated connecting lines 27 provided with wire end sleeves 26 are inserted into the positioning part 21 from this side.
  • the shape of the wire end ferrules can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 6.
  • the free ends of the wire end sleeves 26 protrude from the hotplate end 22 of the positioning part 21 so far that they intersect with the stub-like ends 20 of the connecting lines 19.
  • the wire end sleeves 26 have a first region 28, which corresponds to conventional wire end sleeves. In this area the wire end sleeves are pressed around the connecting lines 27, the pressing in the outer part 29 also detecting the insulation of the connecting lines 27. In the area 30 that follows, the pressing only detects the metallic part of the connecting line 27, so that a good conductive electrical connection is established here. This area 30 is followed by a greatly extended area 31 of reduced diameter, which forms an extension of the wire end sleeve 26.
  • FIG. 5 shows a cross section through the area 30 in which a compression is produced between the metal of the wire end sleeve 26 and the metallic part of the connecting line 27.
  • Fig. 6 shows the section through the area 31 of reduced diameter, from which it can be seen that the cross section in this area is approximately U-shaped.
  • the outer end of the wire end sleeve 26 is pressed in this case to a flat area 32, which thereby has a larger diameter than the area 31 and thus serves to fix the wire end sleeve in the positioning part 21.
  • FIG. 8 now shows how the flat part 32 is connected to the end 20 of a connecting line 19 running perpendicular to it.
  • the connection is made by resistance welding, but other types of welding can also be carried out.
  • the outer end 33 of the wire end sleeve 26 has a slot, so that the pressing outside of the positioning part 31 leads to two flat areas arranged parallel to one another, between which the end 20 of the connecting line 19 is passed and welded.
