Abstract

The packing comprises an envelope provided with a tearing tongue (7) and comprised of a flexible and foldable material. This envelope comprises a double thickness section, wherein the two layers (4, 5) are bound one against the other and where the free end of the tearing tongue is located. Both layers and the tongue may be secured together in a gas tight relationship. To facilitate the tearing of the tongue (7), a zone of the layer (5) of the envelope which is opposite to the layer (4) at the location where it is provided with the tongue (7) is delimited by weakening lines (12) so as to be easily detached from the rest of the envelope during the tearing of the tongue. For manufacturing bags, the tearing tongue (7) is arranged preferably along the length of the band of packing material. A support layer having weakening lines provided by cutting is joined with a tight, non-perforated layer of packing material.

Description

The invention relates to a pack, in particular a tubular bag pack, with a casing consisting of a flat, flexible and foldable packaging material, in which the packaging material has a doubling area in which it forms two layers which are connected to one another with the aid of a binding agent, one of the layers in FIG passes over an envelope part, which is connected to a tear-open element, which continues with its beginning into the doubling area.

A pack of this type is known from DE-A-1 536188 and is used there in particular for packaging perishable luxury items such as. B. soft cheese. To produce the packaging envelope, the lumpy packaging material is first wrapped in a sheet of packaging material, which has a sealable and adhesive coating made of an ethylene-vinyl acetate-paraffin wax mixture on the inside, and then the envelope is closed by forming a longitudinal sealing seam and then closed by two transverse sealing seams . Across the packaging material sheet to be used and adhering to the sealable coating, there is a tear tape which serves as a tear-open element, which then runs in the packaging envelope next to and along the transverse sealing seam or whose beginning is at one of the two packaging material doubling areas forming transverse sealing seams. At this transverse sealing seam, the layer of packaging material, which merges into the envelope part connected to the tear strips, has a projecting grip tab on the edge of the sealing seam, below which the start of the tear strip is located. This packaging material layer also has pre-slots on both sides of the grip tab that extend into the sealing seam area. By pulling off the tear strip, a slit-shaped opening is created in the packaging envelope - facilitated by these pre-slots - which opening is then enlarged by deformation of the envelope to such an extent that the packaging material can be removed from the envelope.

If packs of the type mentioned at the beginning are to be at least largely completely gas-tight, in addition to a gas-tightness of the packaging material itself, a gas-tightness of the sealing medium must also be provided. However, this is not the case in the package described in the aforementioned DE-A because of the paraffin wax-based sealing medium used there. If, however, a sealing medium is used in which the two packaging material layers are connected to one another and a tear strip in the area of the sealing seam in which the opening of the tear organ is located, this sealing seam forms a connection for all parts connected to one another at the same time high mechanical strength. As a result, tearing open the packaging envelope is made considerably more difficult, if not prevented, particularly in the initial region of the tear-open element or tear strip.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of making the package largely gas-tight in the case of a package with a cover consisting of a flat, flexible and foldable packaging material and with a tear-open element, the beginning of which is at a doubling area of the packaging material to be able and at the same time to facilitate the operation of the tear-open element by simple measures.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing. It shows
  • 1 is a perspective, schematic representation of a tubular bag pack according to the invention,
  • Fig. 2 is a partial representation of a tubular bag pack according to the invention in a schematic representation with details of the tear tape beginning.

The tubular bag pack is produced in a manner known per se by the fact that in the packaging machine the continuously tapering packaging material web, which has lines of weakness at predetermined points or a tear tape between two in the longitudinal direction of the web and attached to the sealing layer, in this longitudinal dimension 1 (Fig . 1) around the packaged goods, e.g. B. chocolate bar, folded and formed by forming a (not shown in the figure) longitudinal sealing seam enclosing the packaging material tube sleeve 2, which is divided by transverse sealing seams 3, 3 'and cutting the packaging material at these seams into individual packs. By means of these transverse sealing seams 3, 3 ', fin-shaped doubling regions are produced at the ends of the pack, at which two layers of packaging material 4 and 5 or 4' and 5 'are connected to one another in a planar manner. The packaging material layers 4, 4 '(in FIG. 1) lying on the top of the package merge into the upper part of the packaging envelope, on the inside of which a tear tape 7 is attached between two lines of weakness 6 of the packaging material. On the weakening lines, webs are provided between the punched sections. The beginning 9 of the tear tape 7 is located on the underside of a tab-shaped extension 10 of the packaging material layer 4 at the doubling area of the transverse sealing seam 3 or extends in its sealing area between the packaging material layers 4 and 5. Thereby the packaging material layers 4 and 5 and that Tear tape 7 connected by the sealing area and gas-tight together.

To facilitate tearing, the beginning of the tear tape is now in a special way educated. This can be seen from FIG. 2, the tear tape beginning shown here, in contrast to FIG. 1, now not having a tab-shaped extension.

The start of the tear tape is located at the doubling area made of the packaging material layers 4 and 5, which is produced by a transverse sealing seam. The tear tape 7 attached to the inside of the packaging envelope part or the packaging material layer 4 (shown in FIG. 2) lies between two weakening lines 6 of the packaging material, on which one recognizes the webs 8 between the punched holes and which run parallel to one another over most of the pack, but wedge-shaped apart within the packaging material layer 4. The area delimited in the (upper) packaging material layer 4 by these weakening lines 6 is now opposite in the (lower) packaging material layer 5 by an area 11 which is enclosed by a U-shaped weakening line 12 or the edge 13 of the doubling area .

To tear the tear tape, grasp the start of the tear tape in area 11 of the doubling area formed by the two layers 4 and 5 and pull it upward in the direction of arrow 14. The area 11 of the packaging material layer 5, which is connected to the beginning 9 of the tear tape 7 in a flat and gas-tight manner, is severed on the U-shaped weakening line 12 and the weakening lines 6 on both sides of the tear tape are torn from the doubling area edge 13. The package is then opened as usual by further pulling off the tear tape.

Two examples of tubular bag packages according to the invention are given below.

Beispiel 1example 1

To produce a packaging material web forming the package according to the invention, a satin-coated paper web with a basis weight of 60-100 g / m 2 that is coated on one side is used, which is simultaneously provided in a rotary printing machine with surface decor printing and punched punchings along the weakening lines provided on the packaging material. A strip-shaped aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.008 to 0.012 mm is coated on one side with a lamination medium and laminated against the printed and weakened paper web. This composite is finally coated with a cold adhesive on the side facing away from the paper web.

A thin polyethylene tape provided with a cold adhesive coating on one side with its cold adhesive-free side is now applied as a tear tape to the packaging material web thus produced. This takes place, for example, in that in the production of tubular bag packs, the polyethylene tape in the longitudinal direction of the packaging material tape by means of a thermoplastic binder, such as, for. B. wax, is hot laminated onto the cold adhesive coating of the packaging material web fed to the packaging machine.

In contrast, in the manufacture of known tubular bag packs, the tear tape is transversely on the packaging material web, i. H. in particular applied perpendicular to their longitudinal extent, for which purpose very complex mechanical engineering measures are required in the packaging machine, which are avoided in the method according to the invention.

The further steps for producing the tubular bag packs then take place as described with reference to FIG. 1, the sealing seams to be carried out being realized by cold sealing.

Beispiel 2Example 2

The packaging material to be used according to this example differs from that described in example 1 in that instead of the paper web a plastic web, in particular a cellophane web with a basis weight of 28-40 g / m 2 , and instead of the cold adhesive coating, a hot melt adhesive coating based on polyethylene is used. A polyester tape, which is provided on both sides with a polyethylene hot-melt adhesive coating and is hot-sealed onto the hot-melt adhesive coating of the packaging material, serves as the tear tape.

The tubular pouch packs are again produced as described with reference to FIG. 1, the sealing seams, in contrast to example 1, being carried out in the form of heat seals.

The package according to the invention can primarily be used advantageously as a package for foodstuffs such as chocolates or baked goods that can optionally be made gas-tight or can be produced in the form of tubular pouches. However, their commercial usability is not limited to packs for solid packaging goods.
