Definitions
- the invention relates to a cutting chain for a stone cutting machine, which consists of alternating chisel holders and intermediate links each as chain links, and in which the chisel holders carry a cutting plate which is fixed by a regular shape on the chisel holder with respect to the position about the central axis and with the aid of clamping devices is held and has a circular or polygonal peripheral shape.
- a chisel holder also used for cut chains, is known, in which the cutting plate is positioned in the form of a chisel holder and is clamped with the aid of a screw.
- the clamping screw more or less only has the function of keeping the cutting insert in the form, thereby securing against twisting.
- this securing is only available with fresh cutting inserts which still have their full circumferential shape and thus bring about a satisfactory form fit with the regular shape.
- the invention proposes that a clamping finger designed as a bridge, one end of which is supported on the front side of the cutting plate and the other end of which is supported on a surface which is plane-parallel to the cutting plate, or a claw is provided as one clamping means Front side rests on the cutting plate and with its other end side on a support surface opposite the cutting plate, preferably forming an angle of approximately 20 ° with the cutting plate, the clamping fingers and the claw each being tensioned with the aid of a threaded bolt.
- the two alternatives according to the invention in the form of the claw or in the form of the clamping finger allow the use of extremely strong bolts, since the latter are independent of the shape of the cutting plate and do not have to protrude through a central opening within the cutting plate. Damage due to bending and thus difficulties in releasing such clamping devices are practically excluded.
- a clamping force can be achieved with such clamping means, which guarantees an adequately firm fit of the cutting plate even in the case of inadequate positive locking of the cutting plate with the regular shape in the chisel holder.
- each insert is provided with an extension which engages in the regular shape.
- the inclusion within the chisel holder does not necessarily have to completely surround the attachment, but it is sufficient if there is sufficient positive locking. If, for example, the attachment has one or more pairs of edges, the respective individual edges of which run parallel to one another, a groove is sufficient as a receptacle in the chisel holder in order to position the cutting plate correctly in each case.
- the approach then has the shape of an even, even polygon. If the cutting plate has a similar shape and only one cutting edge engages with the rock during a cut, it is particularly expedient when re-sharpening, i.e.
- the inserts consist of hard metal or are covered with diamond chips, whereby the base body can also be made of hard metal.
- the base body can also be made of hard metal.
- the generally inevitable transition from the insert to the approach as a diameter jump can then no longer contribute to the risk of breakage due to its notch effect.
- the approach preferably consists of a tough material, for example a tempered steel, which should have a relatively wear-resistant surface. Case-hardened steels can also be used.
- each cutting insert can be expedient, which can be brought about by a corresponding position of the receptacle within the chisel holder and the clamping means.
- each cutting edge can be undercut to achieve a clearance angle.
- each insert is therefore arranged approximately at the level of the rear hinge axis of the chisel holder in the direction of travel, and a hump is attached in front of the insert, which is optionally covered with hard metal or with diamond chips.
- the height of the cusp is chosen so that it maintains a clear distance from the cut stone face in the normal cut and only touches the cut surface when attempting to straighten up. In this way, major damage to the chamfer chain can be effectively prevented.
- the form-fitting connection through the attachment and the receptacle in the chisel holder can of course also be brought about by a reversal of the principle in which there is a regular polygonal opening in the cutting insert, into which, for example, a projection attached to the chisel holder engages.
- the projection can be arranged at the front end of a pin which can be knocked out of the chisel holder, the pin having the tough and wear-resistant properties already mentioned above.
- the opening inside the cutting plate can be continuous since the center of the cutting plate does not take part in the cutting process anyway. In this way, the interaction with a clamping finger or a claw, which are correspondingly provided with an attachment, is particularly simple, and the projection can then be restricted to a pure centering function.
- FIG. 1 shows a chisel holder 28 which forms part of a cut chain which is formed from a multiplicity of identical and similar chisel holders 28 as chain links and from intermediate chain links 3.
- the two chain links 28 and 3 are articulated to one another with the aid of bolts 5 and brackets 6, the bit holder 28 being double-walled and each intermediate link 3 being single-walled.
- a sequence of, for example, nine chisel holders 28 forms the broaching profile of the cutting chain, which is joined together by stringing further sequences into a cutting chain.
- a partial negative shape 30 of a uniformly hexagonal, slightly conical extension 31 which is soldered directly onto the back of a likewise hexagonal cutting plate 15.
- a support surface 29 on which a claw 32 is supported Opposite the negative mold 30 is a support surface 29 on which a claw 32 is supported.
- the claw 32 is designed such that it rests exclusively on the support surface 12 and on the front of the cutting plate 15. It is tensioned with the aid of a threaded bolt 33, the direction of action of which runs approximately parallel to the plane of the support surface 29.
- the plane of the support surface forms an angle of approximately 20 ° with that of the cutting plate 15, which results in very good and secure clamping forces.
- the cutting plate 15 has the shape of a regular hexagon, so that there are six side surfaces, three of which are designated a, b, and c.
- the cutting edge facing the side surface a first acts. After they have become dull or worn, either the cutting edge assigned to the side surfaces b or c should be brought into effect, in any case not the opposite one (between b and c) or the neighboring one (immediately next to a). It is then ensured that completely fresh cutting edges come into effect three times in succession, and then three cutting edges that are reduced in width due to the preceding cutting processes, but still have a symmetrical position with respect to the central plane of the bit holder 28.
- a symmetrical position to the center plane of the chisel holder 28 is therefore important so that no lateral cutting forces act on the chain link and thus on the chain guide bring with it increased wear of the chain guide.
- a regular hexagon shape for the insert 15 an octagon, a square or another shape following a grid can also be selected.
- the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 naturally also requires further chisel holders 28, which together form a complete chain clearing profile.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 also shows a one-piece chisel holder 38 which is equipped in its front upper region with a hump 24 for containing erection movements during the cut.
- a chisel console 13 on which a cutting plate 40 is held.
- a bore in the chisel console 13 which points approximately in the running direction of the cutting chain and into which a pin 39 is driven.
- the front end of the pin 39 protrudes over an abutment surface in the manner of a projection and projects into an opening within the cutting plate 40.
- the projection on the pin 39 and the opening in the cutting plate 40 are each hexagonal in shape and match each other, so that when the pin 39 is firmly seated in the chisel console 13, the cutting plate 40 is positively fixed.
- a clamping finger 7 which is designed like a bridge and rests with one end on the front of the cutting plate 40 and with its other end on a contact surface which is plane-parallel to the contact surface for the cutting plate 40 on the other side.
- Chisel console 13 is present. Between the two ends there is a through hole for receiving a screw 42 which is screwed into a threaded hole within the chisel console. The threaded hole is overall deeper, that is, further away from the cutting point than the hole for receiving the pin 39, so that the clamping finger 41 assumes an obliquely downward position.
- a further threaded hole for the screw 42 can be provided on the adjacent side of the contact surface for the clamping finger 41, so that two threaded holes are available, which is advantageous, for example, when a screw 41 is broken off or one of the threaded holes is clogged for other reasons.
- An Allen screw or a conventional screw with a hexagon head can be used as screw 42.
- the surface which bears against the front of the cutting plate 40 is also provided with a hexagonal projection for engaging in the hexagonal opening in the cutting plate 40.
- a hexagonal projection for engaging in the hexagonal opening in the cutting plate 40.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show that the invention can also be used successfully in conjunction with negative cutting angles; the associated contact surfaces on the chisel console 13 are each inclined slightly backwards.
- the choice of the cutting angle is based on the application of the individual case and depends, among other things, on the stone to be cut and on the properties of the inserts used in each case.
